FR ME TOO...MY God...Hans Zimmer is a Genius
that part almost made me cry, so beautiful
Those dislikes are probably people that dropped their phone in the sea..
Benny Damien Or they're people waiting for this "21st century Mozart" to write a piece of music which changes key. Or rhythm. Or has a discernible melody. Or doesn't sound like pretty much everything he or his team of ghost-writers have produced previously.
The Other Planets mate, if you can't appreciate the guy's craft, don't watch or listen music videos with his name on it.
@@MusicByRobThorpe Ah you're one of the dislikes. Piss off will ya. Everyone is allowed to their opinion of course, but if you're going to say it like that then you might as well just move along.
The Other Planets Someone doesn’t understand theme music theory!
😂😂😂
Hans Zimmer music + Sir David Attenborough's narration!!
Who esle can't wait to watch it too? ✋
Beh ming jun without a doubt!! PURE MAGNIFICENCE!!
Beh ming jun I think Hans only composed the theme
he did
And Radiohead’s song “Bloom” amazing!!!
@@jimm8176 That would be Planet Earth 2 where he only made the theme. In Blue Planet 2 he did the whole score with Jacob Shea and David Fleming, there's lots of tracks here with Hans' handwriting written allover them.
EPIC!
BBC Earth Lab nah. By. Km,
Aπλα μαγεια !
deppressive shit music
same
f1lt3r fifi what
Still makes me tear up - the most epic television series ever made
Zimmer doesn't create music, he creates a feeling, an emotion, a story to be told on it's own, to be discovered. That's what he creates.
You are not listening to this because it sounds complex or uses hard techniques, you are listening to this because it is telling you the story of our oceans.
I'm actually listening to this because of its wonderful complex techniques of music.
@@nashvilleriveraquinio6432 Musical Complexity is subjective. But I do indeed see your point. The music does have a certain flow that is hard to achieve in a day. (And even harder to achieve on a computer, which is how Hans creates his music :) )
@@abhignavijjapurapu209 Yes, they are playing real instruments. But to create the music, it is made on a computer then given to an orchestrator to turn into sheet music which is then given to the players here.
goosebumps
i didn't think hans zimmer would be working on blue planet 2 from the first trailer but i'm so thankful he did!
Olga K that song is also Zimmer
oh it's so beautiful
Was I the only one cried a little while watching this?! It was so beautiful and overwhelming!!
I think most of us did, I did. 🥲 This is where the money spent on your sound system becomes worth it.
I'm 20 years now but sometimes I still belive that magic exists.
That comment is just as beautiful as the video itself :)
Yeah, something extraordinary exists or magic exists. I agree .
it does. it’s life, in all its incredible forms. which is why this documentary was made in the first place. we must do everything we can to preserve this precious blue marble that is the planet Earth.
absolutely, i also believe in
Hans Zimmer is proof magic exist
try 3:10 with good quality headphones, the drop Is awesome
I just adore music. Everything is done so well, the series is designed I'm sure to hit you in the core of your heart and evoke emotion. The music alone stirs emotion and without the narration and film content, this music sits well with my connection to the ocean. Its all truly beautifully created. Thank you to all of you. I hope to one day reach the same standards with my violin. Hans Zimmer and his team always have my attention.
This has captured earth's beauty perfectly I love it
Dammit, 2 years later and that beautiful score still puts a tear in my eyes.
This evokes a powerful feeling and is absolutely brilliant
The 21st century Mozart
Vexalord
I absolutely am... Mozart isn't anything special. Along with several other painter or musicians of the time. The right rich people liked their work and it got popular.
Now... because it's so easy to distribute music. The masses... common people can pick and chose. And numbers don't lie about who has more admires of their work.
Movies are seen by millions... and many top directors and productions studios (who made it there because of their work that had millions to keep coming back)...
Chose this guy.
Surgical Mozart isn't anything special? You must be joking!!
Frank Morfa he was a first of an era that made a name for himself yes... was he with out a doubt talented?
Absolutely.
Do I believe he is one of the best ever? No

If you do not grow up in a household with classical music where should anyone listen to classical music nowadays? There's pop music or maybe soundtrack music everywhere. I like Hans Zimmer's music, but it sometimes also seems very cheesy. With pictures of the ocean it is nice and it is a good background music. It's modern program music. And as far as I can tell his music isn't that complicated to play. It's all dramatic and dynamic.
Mozart's music seems simple but it isn't. I am speaking for myself and everyone has a different opinion. For me, Mozart touches deeply. At a more profound level. I think you cannot compare Zimmer with him.
@@starther complicated to play is not a synonym for good, if that's the case, XIX century virtuosos would be the ones making the best music.
I wouldn't put barroque music in this for example. Even if i like it, it's too complex for something like this that requires a more gentile and calm touch. I say they did a great job.
Also, no popular soundtrack is so complex you can't play them or are hard to play. Every popular tune, song and score in movies is more simple than classical or barroque music. From Disney to star wars to any popular franchise with popular scores, none of those are as complex as the music from the past. That's not the goal of movie soundtrack. The soundtrack tells you how to feel about what you see or tries to create a certain ambience or emotion. You can't always do that if the score is over the top with lots of arpeggios and crazy notes everywhere.
And we are talking about orchestral arrangements here. You can imitate the main melody on your instrument but in movie scores we listen to the combinations of lots of instruments making chords and variations. And that is what enhances the melody.
If i'm wrong then that means Disney's songs are not good because anyone can just sing them, and the same goes to any film score.
Modern people like it more simple. Easier to hum. All great scores from any movie series or videogame is easy to hum. It sticks in your head and you remember it. Is that easy to play? Absolutely. Does that make it bad instrumental music? Not at all.
I am privileged to live in this era where musicians like Hans Zimmer exists!
And high definition sound and recording studios and digital playback exists!
Simply breathtaking at 03:22
its sad that this godly orchestral soundtracks which takes immense efforts goes unnoticed while single digit substandard ghetto rap garbage gobble up billions of views
Degeneracy is being promoted over beauty and elegance.
When is the score going to be made available? It’s amazing
It is already aviable on Spotify and iTunes! :-)
David Molina you can download it on Apple tunes and watch on UA-cam.
I just want to watch them play... and listen OBVIOUSLY. 😢 it's beautiful.
Hans Zimmer is just complete brilliance.....the man is so incredibly gifted
Goosebumps, just goosebumps! Well done BBC EARTH
Two episodes in and I’m convinced this series is one of the more significant works of art in our time.
Wow, I get chills just listing to this music. Its really relaxing.
I've found myself watching this video over and over again ever since I've discovered it. It somehow really encapsulates the extremes of the human being. On one hand, we are capable of creating and precisely executing soul-crushingly beautiful music like this. On the other hand, the marine life so amazingly captured in these images is a sobering reminder of our capacity to destroy our very home. We must do way better!
Feelings of nature converted into music...:)
02:40 when a new life enters the world... Just absolutely beautiful and incredibly epic.
That was magical..
This sounds like a mix of the main theme of Planet Earth II and We Are the Designers from the Planet Earth II soundtrack-I'm in heaven
I believe The we are designers is part of the main Planet Earth 2 Suite so sounds plausible. Also i dont think the We are the designers was written by Hans.
I'm crying.
Simply amazing. The combination of the orchestra with the images was quite beautiful.
If, for the rest of my life, I was only allowed to watch one kind of genre, it would be BBC nature documentaries.
Score 10/10
I love how the music feels so strong and powerful, with the might of the ocean coursing through it. Yet at the same time there's an underlying, emotional fragility to it. I know that may sound like bs but the theme is oh so right for the documentary. It's beautiful!
I know what you mean
OMG. It's incredible. Love it. In combination with the visuals, it just gives me goosebumps to see the beauty of our natural world.
Varun A hey are you a christian? Just curious
The work of Zimmer and music production of this theme Is beyond great, i could easily compare this to the marvelous work of La Mer by Debussy.
ok, seriously, WHEN IS IT GONNA COME OUT?!?! CAUSE EVERY VIDEO YOU GUYS POST IS JUST SO DAMN BEAUTIFUL AND SO AMAZING THAT I JUST WANT TO BINGE THE WHOLE THING
That gave me chills
I love listening to this 'stripped back' version. Its amazing to hear what sounds like before the effects. I hope one day I can write music this well. This theme is most definitely my favourite film/'classical' (because we all know its more romantic period) piece :)
nothing competes with this
Chase Latouche Hans Zimmer’s Planet Earth II

Today I'm gonna watch the last episode, and in advance I miss this brilliant work. Thank you to Hanz Zimmer, all the crew, thank you BBC!
So very beautiful like our planet *
Hans zimmer and Ramin djawadi are gods
Absolutely stunning
Heaven played this after the angels have seen God creating the oceans (03:08)
From the perspective of a (sadly) retired symphony performer, that is truly wonderful symphonic music, perhaps equal to Debussy.
Absolutely Magical :)
Would love to have a piece with Thomas Bergersen, Ivan Torrent and Hans Zimmer.
Wow! Wonderful music no words to express.
just wow...
The blue planet, by far my favorite documentary. But I had no idea how much I enjoyed the soundtrack until now.
Hans Zimmer is just too good
Saw this live recently. Oooh how I bawled crying. 😬😃 amazing concert and setting in St Canice Cathedral Kilkenny
Absolutely beautiful, the imagery, the music, the playing, the creativity. That is the world we live in, we must do more for it, and each other. The music brings me in, and shows me so much more. Absolutely uplifting. Thank you to everyone involved. You are beautiful.
Best part 3:05

Hans is amazing but Jacob and David are also amazing composers❤️

3:11 is just amazing
This beautiful Theme gives me goosebumps. Very emotional xx
I'm in love with the music
It's my tempo.
Merinding dengarnya, mantap
2:13 reminds me of the soundtrack from the movie of "I am Legend" :O
Pure beauty ❤
The unofficial soundtrack of Darwin's Origin of Species...and his Beagle voyages.
It made me cry
Turn off the lights. Close your eyes... and clear your mind... and just listen.... Let the music work its way through your mind... It'll take you places you've never seen or imagined... Don't believe me?" :) Try it and see... It'll open your mind... guaranteed...
