SO HELPFUL! I did everything you did: dropped the same screws (x2), popped out the same metal brackets, and broke the same plastic piece. But that all was more funny than anything! Thanks so much!
This was perfect! We have a 1999 Sienna with the same problem. We are waiting on the replacement part from Amazon but we were able to go as far as removing the broken handle. Everything worked as shown and I was able to do it myself (I’m a 72 year old woman). You do need that 10mm nut wrench, which luckily we had. Otherwise, a screwdriver and pair of pliers were the only other tools. Thank you!
I really would like to thank you for your video! I struggled getting my wheelchair into my van because of my broken handle but not anymore!! I just finished fixing it and it was so easy. Thank you!
Got it done and didn't break or lose anything--then the top and side pieces of trim did not need to come out so I left them in place and just removed the large plastic panel. Thanks for your video, a great help!
Thanks for sharing this video, I have the same problem with my Sienna. Toyota quoted $1125.00 to replace it. After watching this video I think I can do it by myself. Thanks million 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanx for help/assistance, fixing my '98 sienna !! Especially with DETAIL Instructions on removing THE 3 inner- molding pieces to access work, SO HELPFUL!
Thank you for making this video. I have the exact same vehicle and the exact same thing just happened! Made me realize I can probably do it myself. Just got to go find the part
Anthony--his link goes right to Amazon--I just bought one and it will get here in 10 days or so--16.00 plus tax and shipping, 23.91. I found a few more and one was 11.00, and 14.00 but maybe this is is better one...
Thanks for this video. Very easy fix. You actually don't have to take the top and side panels off, so just a tiny time saver. p.s. - I also broke off the tab, but it is no problem.
Great video... no breaks on disassembly! $5 FIX : I took mine all apart and took a look at the broken plastic piece... took some CRAZY GLUE and a popsicle sticks to reenforce The broken plastic... sprinkled the wet CRAZY GLUE with baking soda and let every dry ! It still looked like it needed reenforcement so I took some epoxy stick I had in stock and coated everything ! Two hours later everything dry & put back together and better than NEW! Poor design on the original part thats for sure!
in need of help. I replaced handle, but now when I engage lock then unlock the door does not open. I have to pop out the cable pull the lock rod down then pop the latch all from the inside.
Wish you showed us how to pull out the back strap cap. I broke it because I didn't know that all you had to do was to press down. No serious damage done though.
Well, thank you, but I don’t think I can do that. Augh the Dealer want $1,200 to do this. I’m 82, a female w/a hip replacement & I did manage to get back in there🤣😂 Hope no one was watching🤪 u don’t happen to live near Chico Ca?😻👵🏻
I had no idea how to open my broken rear handle until I watched your video. Dont have to call a locksmith anymore. Thanks a million!

Great video. Just remember to oil the cable so it runs smooth again. that was probably why it broke in the first place.

Great help. You are real, as clumsy as I am. Therefore, I can identify with you. Love it!
That was a great video, it helped me a lot to replace that part. Thank you.
Great video. I like the fact that mistakes were made along the way, as I probably will have a few more. However, the final result is what counts.
is there a way to get the door open without the handle working. This is really bad timing for me!

Sadly no, but if you have a handyman in your life maybe show them this video and see what they think and buy the parts and slip em $100 to do it
