Glad to see you post again! I've had my 05' grand prix for about 3 years now, I really like the car and its a very zippy, reliable midsized car. Your videos definitely are very helpful when doing work on my car! Keep up the great work, I definitely look forward to seeing more content!
Glad you’re back!
Great to see you again!!
Btw your engine bay looks so cool.
Thanks. !!
Good video
Thanks
Looking forward to new Malibu content!
Besides a cam, e85 was the biggest hp gain mod I've done to my 3800. Only issue I had was the fuel filter clogged up a few times from e85 cleaning out damn near everything in the tank.
E85 was a big jump for me. I was able to increase timing advance and boost. I'm running 22° and 13-15psi (depending on temps)
If it's mostly going be a drag car, just keep it as is and invest in stickier tires. Will only be so long before that tranny goes.
Look forward to the upcoming weekly videos!
Great news on the video front buddy, on the videos, I'm super pumped for dragstrip videos. My car on E40 feels like it has 50 more hp so you should really see the benefits being that you have the intercooler and the big sticks. You might even be able to drop pulley sizes for more boost. Stickier tires sounds like the recipe for busted axles or output shaft to me haha. Keep up the good work buddy. On a side note, do you have any 44lb injectors laying around that could use a good home??
I have some 42.5s
@@SalemDoyle you have my interest

Decent idea for the wheels, see if you can find a set of Grand Prix/Bonneville GXP 18s out there. Got mine at $240 for a set of 4 and you can run 255/35r18 tires which is a common performance size.
Good idea
Unfortunately My 04 pontiac grand prix gt2 motors either blown a head gasket or intake. Looks like chocolate milk on the inside of the oil cap. And it's now got a lifter knock and smoking out of the exhaust. So it looks like it's getting scrapped or sold as a derby car. Which sucks cause it seems like a nice rust free one considering I live in the rust belt.
Hey. I noticed your side molding is gone off the right side. I have an 02 GTP 4 dr. All of my side molding has come off. Now all four doors have those white plastic anchors showing at the bottom. It looks stupid to me. I want to put the moldings back on but I'm not sure what to use that would last. Any ideas? Maybe a video if you find a solution.
Love the data you have on the E-85 switch.
Also I had to rebuild my tranny on this car. If you are thinking about putting in a shift kit, you might as well pull the trans and rebuild. The Achilles heal for the 4T65E pre-2003 was the 4th gear shaft. GM did not use hardened steel for them. The splines on mine were gone; literally gone.
I will definitely do a video on replacing this side moulding which I plan to do pretty soon
@@SalemDoylewell shoot my side molding don’t even line up properly anymore, someone put home made rockers on it it’s a shame cuz I can’t put ‘em on now
Just watched the E85 video, and am extremely interested in swapping my 97’ GTP. What I got from the video is all I need is 60 lb injectors and a Tune. I don’t have HP Tuners nor do I know how to tune. Does ZZP have a set tune for a stock GTP running on E85?
Yes, zzp can send you a tune
I have a 3800 sc and it have a random misfire but it’s not all the time it’s like when I turn off the car then come back and turn it on it will do it. what do you think it is
Could be several things but sounds like maybe an injector leaking
What are you doing in the way of transmission supporting mods?
So far, just the tune. Probably a shift kit soon
srry, did you do hotwire kit with the new pump ?
Not yet, but planning to
