I umpired Andrew in under 17, and under 19 games. He hit the ball really hard and once straight at me. One could see he was destined for greater things. As captain of Queensland in both competitions he was always a pleasure to talk to and never arrogant as some of his other colleagues I umpired. Very sad that he passed away so soon.
Roy thanks for being an inspiration, you definitely had an impact on who I am today. So glad I got to grow up seeing you play. Thanks big man you had a heart of gold!!!
RIP Legend. 2003 WC match vs Pakistan, he really snatched our day and again in 2005 in England vs Pakistan, he was the man to make the difference. Two great centuries.
That was fascinating. CA have constantly let Aussies down for money. I can't say what I think without having my comments deleted, but I think you all know what I think of CA.
This is pure garbage.. harbhajan just blabbered 'maa ki' .. which is very commonly spoken in north Indian hindi slang.. especially to friends or in frustration of tense situation like the english say s*it or f*ck.. symonds and australian team keep hearing it as 'monkey' in English as they don't understand hindi and blowing it out of proportion as a racial slur.

Someone like Roy it'd hit alot harder than others when he's not believed to care about the badge. You could tell he loved playing .. he reminds me of Dean Jones in that way.
I've always liked Sikhs and hold them in high regard. On the whole, very noble people. But I don't know what happened to Harbhajan Singh. Seriously, one of the least likeable cricketers I've seen. Who can forget him slapping of Sreesanth, his own teammate in the national side, in the IPL? You can argue "monkey" was not the word he used, but his other indiscretions suggest it probably was. He might have been a great guy off the field (?), but he had serious white line fever.

This is out of order! Actually makes me sick that that's all you've got to say. Roy's family may look at this, reading this would be crippling to them. Shame on you mate!!

Here he makes it sound like he was the victim of “Monkey Gate” but the reality was all through the series Symonds ALWAYS the one provoking people saying nasty $hit in their ears and at some point you say the wrong thing at the wrong time, you are going to get back in wyas you won’t like it. @@sharkslomberg It is almost like languages get confused, especially referring to said term.
Point: The Hindi word he thought was monkey was उड़ना. The word means fly as in the bug, most likely referred to as flies love heat
i see. that's why harbhajan singh apologised.
BS! Why did HS later apologize then?
Lol stop giving excuses. Harbhajan was very wrong in that kind of abuse. Symonds also shares the part of the blame for too much sledging. Full stop
Give it a rest, buddy. No one believes that he didn't call him a monkey.
Harbhajan done the right thing and they both apologised when they were playing together for the Mumbai Indians in the ipl
