Fantastic cricketer. How is it possible that an ex-athlete albeit a smoker and a drinker and a carbaholic, would not go for a heart check-up, or be forced to by his management team, as part of a general annual health check is beyond me. We waz robbed of a fantastic personality.
What a sensational player he was. I am So lucky that i met him in 1994 at Pindi Cricket Stadium Pakistan and request him for a picture and he accepts happily. RIP Warne
I'd put warney in the top 5 sportspeople who ever lived, let alone cricket. He IS exemplary, and his energy will never leave this planet. Wonderful person.
As a Kiwi, thought the dude was a dick head. However, after informing myself about the guy, I saw the doco "Shane' literally a month before he died. He comes across as a decent bloke. Moreover, his playing and coaching in the IPL was a real credit to him.
This definitely has to be one of the best interviews/documentaries I have ever seen of the great man!! Touched on all the controversies and spoke so clearly and honestly about each one of them. The cherry on top would have been his sporting relationship with India, winning the inaugural IPL, and his role in the Hundred. Thank you Sky Sports and thank you Idrees Yousafzi for this video. Will miss the King!
Not only best in his career he was such a honest or pure hearted man,no hypocrisy, left so many heart broken and must say Australian cricket board and media as well as English media were badly after him to bring him somehow down but he was Loved then ever before by his People( not only Australians but all cricket lovers),the worst is that all good people have to be through painful times of their lives 💔🤲
RIP legend. Spot on with what he said about it being too politically correct nowadays. It is. The fun police have too much to say. They can all get lost!!
36:30 is there room in the modern game for a Shane Warne or will it be knocked out of em?? The real answer is Yes. Yes there is room the fans love Warnie, we love our rockstars and cricket desperately needs a Warnie. Yes cricket Australia or all the cricket boards will absolutely knock it out of em. Remember “don’t blush baby” the most harmless thing ever and Chris Gail was forced from playing cricket in Australia. The answer to the question is yes.

Shane will always be the greatest, but so was that selection decision by Steve waugh. Like Shane admits going into 1999 WC he was searching for form. No one didn't believe in Warne but he was coming back from Injury and not quite there. McGill did the job. What's never featured in the docos is the 1995 semi final
I wish the 2 teams that had played in the 2005 Ashes also played in the 2006/07 Ashes. A fit and firing England with Vaughan and Simon Jones in the team against a hungry, angry and hurting Australian team would have been a brilliant series. Really competitive. Unfortunately it didn’t turn out like that.
@@JasonX2 I think most people in Sri Lanka love Murali because he is a national treasure, but I think deep-down, they already know that Warne was the better player, just because of his mentality, and brilliant cricketing brain.

He had the makings of being a better captain than Ponting just look at what he did with the Rajasthan royals in India took a team of young players to the top, 2005 even Freddy Flintoff admitted they cheated by putting sticky mints on the ball
The willingness for the great, historic and noble cricket team of England to cheat was, and to me still is, so very telling and a crying shame on their part. I recall the way they used (misused) the option of substitute fielders in the UK based ashes series. It said so much and not in a good way.
Never had much insight old Warne. Whinging about being dropped when he was out of form and they won with out him. Complaining when Afam Gilchrist is his replacement as vice captain.
