I like to learn different ones and I can incorporate some of my favorite plastics into them. Hopefully I get a chance to try them out this week.

Eastern Ky, I fish cave run lake, Grayson lake, Yatesville lake. Early Spring and Winter. I normally quit daytime fishing after the bluegill nest and the weather gets so hot. Tie my own jigs and do my own powder coating. I love to tie with squirrel tail. Getting ready to go to Lake Erie fir walleye this weekend fir a week.

That’s awesome James, I lived in Michigan in early 80’s and got to fish Erie once for walleye, was the best tasting fish I’ve ever had. Hope you catch a lot.

Just a suggestion….you should try a Clouser Minow for those crappie and bluegills. They are fun to tie and fish with. Happy fishing.

Southeast Georgia. Crappie is one of those hard to come by fish around. They’re in the rivers but difficult to target. Some ponds have them but by and large most people are chasing bream bass and catfish. Saltwater inshore is starting to fire up and we’ll be chasing the speckled trout bite till January or extreme cold sets in.

Really enjoy your videos about fishing. It would be great if you could let us know what fly or bug you used fly fishing for the bluegill. We have fly rods we used for 20 years in Montana for trout and will now use for crappie and bluegill fishing here. We also do tie our own flys, so that is nice to see some of the jigs you tie. . After living in Montana we moved to South Dakota and spent 25 years there where we fished for walleye and northern pike. We moved to Northeastern Alabama 1 and a half years ago to retire and hopefully get more southern fishing done. God Bless.

Really neat pattern, I'll have to tie some up. One thing that would make tying this pattern easier would be to turn the fly around and clamp the hook eye in your vice after you push the rubber body forward and clamp it off. This way you wouldn't have to make such big loops around your hemostats offering better thread control. Best of luck.
