Eric , That is a Beautiful Jig ! So glad Ai found it, and You making it ! I will try and get it close to how it looks ! I have been practicing and tying everyday ! I go until my hands start to Cramp up ! I am beginning to feel more comfortable at tying , each day ! I am already Hooked on Tying my own jigs ! Thank you so much for sharing and showing me how to tie them , waiting on some more materials now ! Take Care and Be Safe !
Hey I like the angle of your camera I sure do wish you'd put Willie and Waylon back on Waylon and Willie I love to watch you jigs I dabble in it. this is your prayer Warrior still praying for you brother keep up the great work😇😘
Another vote for that camera angle. Also I think if you coat over that eye with the sally hansen it will clear right up. Mine get hazy like that when I get super glue on them. Good video Eric.
@@SloMotion66 I glue on with a super glue gell, then Sally Henson for top coat. Use an exacto knife to stick into and remove the eye from the card and glue and place on the jig.
Very very nice jig Eric, never tried the UV glue yet. Buck tail deer hair is hollow, and if you pull it to tight at the beginning, it cinches the hair and causes it to flare upward. I had a hard time figuring that out. Someone on UA-cam helped me with that a few yrs ago. I think it was Smalljaw. Also the hair nearer the tip of a buck tail is less hollow than the other end. There is a big difference in where you get your buck tails as well. The key in my experience is to always start out with loose wraps using buck tail, then tighten up once wrapped in place. In my humble opinion. Nice camera angle to Eric.
Usually lay that way not always your right not all tails are the same some will tie different based on the color they have been dyed or how long they were boiled to achieve that color....black usually the toughest to tie with
That looks great. I tie something almost identical to that plane had Gold flash. My go-to colors are yellow and pink and yellow and orange I'm all out of Orange right now
Great video Eric. I like the back drop you got. That is sharp. Have you ever hit your jigs with your UV light. You don't need the glue, just the light. It really shows any fibers where you may not want it...Keep up the great videos, I am really enjoying them. Hope you get a chance to get out and get some line stretched my friend. Tight lines...
Great buck tail jig! Enjoyed the UV gloss finish. I've fished for crappie for 40+ years and never used a orange jig. How do you like using orange. I might give it a try!
I really like this camera angle. Shows all the details without all the distractions in the background.
I agree alot better thank you for watching I appreciate it

Very nice jig. I like your setup. Thanks for all the tutorials. Catch em all!
Thank you
I liked that camera angle against the black background,
I don't remember ever seeing an orange jig before, but I really like it. Great color combo.
You just gave me home work

I do the same Sir. Good point, I was thinking that as well.
I glue my eyes on with Sally's and then topcoat to secure.

great looking jig. I've been tying bucktail crappie jigs for a couple years now, haven't done an orange/chartreuse - I like that combination.
Great camera angle. So much easier to see.

The hairs at the bottom are hollow called guard hairs they bend at a 90 degree angle the hairs at the top lay straight

Really enjoyed the video. I could see what you were doing a lot better with the background being dark. Great looking jaw jerker of a jig.
Thank you...I agree much better that way
I like that with red and orange instead of the black thread
Is the uv light better than sun shine
No I don't think so I try and cure all mine in the sunlight
@@ericmasseyjigco thanks good to know
Great video and color combo. Opening pic made it look like a hot mess but really came together well!
Awesome looking jig
Very nice tie!
Thank you

I had lots of people this spring ordering that combo...I'd never thought of it myself
I like it!!
The orange blossom special
Another beauty
Have you checked out Midwest Bucktails LLC? They have some great buck tail colors.
I’ve talked to him niece but never went any further
I have seen people use super glue
Are you against that
It works but for me it’s messy
