- Sharing a quick garden/backyard tour for the year 2020. We have increased the number of beds in the garden as well as varieties. This year we are growing several varieties of beans, chilies, ridge gourd, banana, lime, mango, blueberries, mulberries, blackberries, tomatoes, babycorn, eggplants, okra and many more Especially in the current situation with Coronavirus/Covid-19 it is so fruitful and self sustainable. We are blessed to have this opportunity to have a beautiful space to grow the plants and relax in the garden. I hope you like this quick video ( last time I did a longer video and many people wanted it short).

Thanks so much! 😊
Beautiful garden! I wish I could’ve warned you about the mint! It will usually take over whatever it can reach! It does not play well with others, though it’s beautiful and smells nice. My plant professor in school called mint a “garden thug”😂
Big like thanks for sharing everything I like your video thanks 🙏
Thanks for liking.!
Subscribed! It grew so much from the last year tour. Congratulations! Everything looks so great
Thank you 😊❤️ yes growing so well each year 😀
Nice variety of raised bed, container gardening and borders. A suburban backyard is what a lot of people have including me. Experimenting and seeing what works is a big part of gardening success and it looks like you are doing great.

You should do harvesting videos too if your garden plants! Garden looks amazing by the way
Thank you so much 💕
Wonderful garden. It is very evident that you love your plants and are passionate about fresh food. What city in Texas is this garden in? We would like to move to Austin someday and I’d like to know what to expect to try.
Do you bring most pots into the house or a sunroom in winter?
It would be good to know what part of the garden survives winter. Or maybe I should not let the thought of winter stop me from planting in spring !
Thank you 😊 I am in Houston. We only bring aloevera and ajwain plants in winter .. Everything else stays outside. Don't know much about Austin though.
Hi Subbu! Ur garden looks soooo beautiful❤️where is this place? Texas? Where did u buy that compost bin? thank u dear

Hi ,beautiful garden👏👏👏.

Thank you, just get good soil and proper sunny location. Buy good quality seeds. Water as needed for the plants. Thats it.! You will learn as you grow 😊

Hi … nice garden where did u get the curry leaf seeds
Hi which part of Texas are you in , coz I m in Dallas ( Aubrey) so wanted to know if I can try growing all this in the ground coz we have clay ground
I am in Houston(zone 9a)
Hi, well maintained Backyard👌, in which city you are in Texas, I am from Plano Texas , here plants don’t survive in winter , and your huge curry plant is in the ground pls give some tips ..
Thank you 😊❤️ I am in Houston. For curry leaves plant, we just do basic care. Water and take care of any unwanted pests. We also add rice/Dal washed water to the plant
It thrives naturally in hot weather. If you want growth, trim the tops by 1 inch ..
Beautiful garden ...thank you for sharing. Would like to know where you got the compost bin from? If amazon can you please post the link. Thank you
Thank you.! Yes I got it from Amazon - amzn.to/3f1VI70

Hi there .I'm Lakshmi from Bangalore...you have such a beautiful garden...how do get rid of weeds in your garden? You have helpers to cultivate the land or you manage it all by yourself? It was such a pleasure to watch your garden tour!!
So nice of you.! We use thin card board boxes as weed preventers, just laying them on soil and weeds wont come no more.! No help at
all the hard work is done by my husband 😊
Nice garden. Where are you getting seeds or baby plants from to grow? Please share
Thank you.! plants from local nursery and lowes/homedepot. Seeds from friends and seedsofindia website.
what type of soil was used in planter?
Your garden was a treat to our eyes. Volume was very low though. Can you tell, from where did you get the garden beds? Please tell me how can I plant moringa, ridge gourd etc.,?
Thank you.! we made garden beds ourselves. smaller ones are made by construction workers. I got couple of seeds from a friend for moringa and ridge gourd. You can ask your friends to share or look seedsofindia website.
Thanks
In winter how ur plants lives they will stay as green colour
Very nice..Where to seed moringa, banana tree mango tree, jasmine?
Thank you 😊 banana and jasmine you have to get plants. Mango plant I got from home Depot (but you can grow from seed as well). Moringa you can grow from seed.
My name is padmaja. We are in Houston (near Alaina). Where do you live? Love your garden.
Hi Padmaja thank you and good to know .. I have friends in aliana 😊
Hi! From where you managed to buy tinda seeds??
Tindora is grown by cuttings, seeds are not available. So you need to find someone who is willing to share a cutting with you. I got from my friend a month ago.
Can you please mention where you getting indian plants and seeds. ?
You can get seeds from seedofindia dot com, plants I got from local garden center.
Just came across your videos will like to know where you buy your seeds?
Hi I got seeds from my friends and online. Amazon and local home depot for some seeds and seedsofindia website for Indian seeds.
How to protect the jasmine in winter.i live in australia.its too cold for us weather.
You can look into frost hardy varieties of Jasmine. Otherwise you have to protect it and keep inside for winters. So plant in a decent sized pot so that it's easy to move around. Hope this helps 😊
Ok thanks.😀😀
I live in Dallas. Can I plant curry leave plant outside
It's better to bring inside because in Dallas it gets freezing temperatures in winter.
why you didnt put Rose's in the ground?
what are the reasons for putting them in the pots ?
I would like to keep them in ground but they have thorns and future relocations would be difficult if I put them in ground. If they are in pots then its easy to move around according to our plans.
I did the same thing I grew them in pots since one year now moved them to new house, we also had few in the ground which we asked gardner to remove and plant them in new house. We are waiting to see how they will adjust in new house.
@@sugarartlover Awesome, I am sure they will survive, roses are tough ones 😊
@@SubbuCooks last night I trimmed the bushes of my rose plants which are not placed on the ground after moving them to new house, so far they are looking good...daily I'm praying pls survive dont die on me ani.
What are the size of the beds?
I have 4x8, two 3x6, 4x4
Where did get your sweet potatoes slips?
I didn't understand your question ?
Ohh I thought you were growing sweet potatoes so I was curious where you got the slips from.
@@shanaloyd2007 Ok I got it now, I think you are asking about the black bags I am growing the sweet potatoes. Those are grow bags I got from Amazon - you can check it here amzn.to/2TUlH7i
