    One small tip . Mint in the ground takes up the entire garden . That’s what happened to me in my garden as it roots go very deep . Try keeping them in pots .

    The berry bushes spread from roots.I will have to look for thornless ones. I had one plant and now I have many.Also early girl tomato plants only take 56 days to have tomato's. I have problems with groundhogs and chipmonks.Also have a lot of deer.

    • @SubbuCooks
      @SubbuCooks  4 роки тому

      Yes we got new growth for blackberry. Arapaho variety is thornless and that is what we have. Maybe use somekind of fencing to keep them away. Good luck.

      Thank you 😊 some plants do not survive in harsh winters.. you have to replant them next year .. if they are in pots you can try moving them inside garage and see if they survive.

      Yeah we also have clay soil in some area. For clay soil you can do soil amendments, by adding perlite, cocopeat etc to add drainage. Just google for more details. Hope this helps.

    the cardboard doesnt break down when it gets wet and soggy?? or does it just dry out again when the sun shines?

    • @SubbuCooks
      @SubbuCooks  4 роки тому

      Yes it does get wet and breakdown but since it's thick it takes a lot of time to completely degrade and decompose. Yes when the weather is hot, it dries out.. so it lasts longer. Hope this helps.

    How to grow mint

    • @SubbuCooks
      @SubbuCooks  4 роки тому +1

      You can get seeds and sow them in soil. You can also get a root from a friend or buy the plant from store. Mint is a low maintenance plant .. it is also very invasive plant and it spreads vigorously.. so it's better you grow in pots. Hope this helps.
