Gald you are able to find everything, S1 Rx8s is easier to find stuff for than S2 Rx8s like the one I have. I watched all the videos now and there are so many things I want to tell you before you continue this journey with this Rx8. The number 1 thing I want to say is to get a rotary compression tester and test the compression.

CHANGE: Coils (I have BlackHaloRacing) Spark Plugs Wires Battery Then ADD: SOHN Adapter Fan Control Kit Better Fans An all-aluminum Radiator Mid Pipe (for airflow, cats get clogged easy reason why the guy who sold the car probably did not have a cat) ECU flash/Tune Starter (see what starter you have, the starter from an S2 is better than S1) Rx8s heats up like crazy. Make sure you have enough airflow to cool the car off. The oil I recommend is IDEMITSU and ALWAYS PREMIX.
Hey so I really want an rx8 even though I know it's probably a bad decision. Once I have enough car knowledge I think it'd be awesome to use the rx8 as a shell and make something absolutely nuts out of it. One thought that I had is that I know I'd never use the old navigation system but you could take apart the pop up screen and remove everything besides the mechanisms that let it pop up and lock down and then 3d print a new face plate and use it as a place to put additional gauges and meters
Emily works like if she had an intern ship in a Germany, basically you learn to maintain the workshop. Clean organised workshop let's you work more efficiently. Oh #german_fan
OOf... they are super overpriced right now. Facebook marketplace or Craigslist are going to be your best bet! 3-4k is a good budget, anything more is a ripoff for the car's worth. They are great! But not THAT great.
Just got my rx8 do u think I could switch the whole radio I seen a few people do that’ll bc I have not seen if my motherboard is broken or if it’s just loose I hope it’s just loose but do you think I could just put in a aftermarket raido instead?
yea i will take it off and try to fix it that way first but if not i will look into a aftermarket but hey man i love your vids keep makeing them even more now sense we have the same car :3

Hey I also have a 2004 RX8, I’ve never seen that kind of Nav system before, where did you get that from? Did that come stock with the car?
It was an option from the factory, but not many had them. Ours had it when we bought it, but was pretty messed up, as you can see from the video.
Mine has one as well, and I’m deleting it. Mine will be for sale

I’ve seen lots of people swap out to an aftermarket unit. It is usually just the face plate that is making it not light up.
