🙏🏽😔Truth. I 100,000% agree Willard. This world IS a confusing, contrary and weird place. But, ALL we have.
    RIP Willard😔🙏🏽

Northern mountain girl here.. he lived like all the folks that settled for a few hundred years.. so funny how people think he lived so differently - he lived just how they all did. Mountain living is the best!!!

Interesting to find this video on-line. I'm on the video playing part of a song I wrote about him the evening before his memorial service. I played it at the service, and later recorded it, so it was played on the radio station in Pictou, Nova Scotia for a while. I loaned him some guitar books which were lost when his little cabin burned down. I took many friends to meet him, and one time we crawled through his window, the only way in, and sat talking to him with the warmth of his little wood stove, and when we left there was about 10 inches of new snow.

I went out to willard's/kitcher's place on a number of occasions.
    we traded books.
he even had me in his super tiny little shack on one occasion.

War. When young men who don't know each other go off to kill each other for old men who do know each other..
He was a brave man to make a stand for his values and religion.
    God bless you, Wilard.

First of all..Respect to this man..now on a personal note..l'm watching a documentary about a man that understood from apparently a early age that the outside world wasn't all that it's cracked up to be..and at the same time l'm being bombarded with worthless ads every 3 minutes during this presentation...Perfectly Ironic...

Willard back then was eligible for 800 CAD a month. The current Old Age Security is just over 600 per month. This wonderful man passed away 20 years ago. And to make it more simple, stuff was cheaper 20 years ago. Thoughts?

The government is robbing the people who built the country. I'm sure no politician enters heaven.

Kindof goes with the overall direction this story has taken us, which I'm no Mr Willard but l also never mush taken to my semblance, anyway, 800 back then 600 today..the common man is being pushed further and further into a corner..A good example today is happening in France..Even though the price of electricity is going down on the world market, French people will take an increase of 10 percent here in the very near future..This will all be explained by french politicians of course..Anyway, take care wherever you might be....

Hahahaaa…! What do you mean no heat ? What did your ancestors do, what do you do when you go camping ?
I don’t mean to detract from Mr Willard but come on, folks. My daughters great granny lived the same way until she was 101 . That was a mere 7 years ago.
Mr Willard, Rest In Peace. Sorry that so few understand that you Preferred the bush. 😊
    HOW is not the issue.
The fact that he had The Balls, now That’s epic

That Feller wheeler drag here kind of reminds me of me and a bunch of ways dang near like him don't like conflict don't mess with people too much but now if I had the opportunities there and Nova Scotia like he was living and that red house man of love it I love to be in the woods rather be in the woods than in any City anymore I'm getting a little older disabled now but don't like dealing with people I wish I could have met Willard that would have been awesome I live a long way I live in Alabama like I said he reminds me of me he was backwood

I believe Leroy WAS Willard's son, that DNA test must have been flawed IMO, they look to much alike, everyone says that.
