@@EnVoltage The light we would recomend is anything like a Streamlight TLR or Surefire X300. Those are both the real steel brands for the light, you can find various airsoft style lights of similar patterns out there. They tend to be better built and fare better than scout style lights for overseas manufactured things.
The pressure switch issue isn't tied to scout lights. It's tied to any repro light/switch. If the light came from Depot, TA, or China, the switch will die, and likely sooner than later. I've been running a M952V since about 2012? Not 100% sure, but it's been a long time, with no failures from the light or the switch. If it gets destroyed, or shot out in any way, surefire repairs/replaces it on their dime. I generally run my Systema Mk18, so I've also thrown my Streamlight TLR1 on it at times. Really comfortable and easy to operate. I really like that you touched on the validity of a pistol light on a carbine, a lot of people overlook the option entirely.
Very good point and I should have specified that for repro lights, the scout style stuff sucks but for real lights they are pretty much the gold standard of rifle lights. We will be doing a very comprehensive video series on lights/switches coming up but thank you for the input!
Mind doing vids on the two AK's on the background wall at some point? Or posting the breakdowns somewhere? I'm slowly working on a Cyma CM.045C and those look saucy. Great video btw!
