  • This Podcast focuses on The USPSA Divisions as a whole.
Firstly, I wanted to discuss the age old question "What Division should I Start in?"
My goal to demystify the "getting started" portion of USPSA and encourage those that think they arent ready, or need to "get ready"....to just jump in. We are a VERY community oriented bunch and as long as you are SAFE, we have plenty of time for you! We will let you try and see gear, and help you aloong the way. But getting started is the main thing...the learning really starts AT the match, not online.
After the niceties, I wanted to discuss my thoughts on the USPSA Divisions as they currently stand- The Good and The Bad. WHat changes are good, what suck, and what can be altered to better the sport.
That and I wanted to discuss my thoughts on how we handle Nationals and where I think we should head towards...

Hey dude! I’ve been shooting Glock without grips for a while (A class) recently shot a gun with talon grips and they were really nice but almost too aggressive for carry. You mentioned Handleit Grips. Which ones are you running? Looking for a nice happy medium for carry and USPSA. Thanks dude! Great video by the way.

@@PewBangPew I like the Handle It grips better but mostly because they stick for longer! I run the sandpaper grips and have to just wear an undershirt or put up with the little bit of rub lol

@ maybe I just need to man up and carry the sand paper ones. I think sumo wrestlers do that belly slapping for strength training 😂. Jk jk. Thanks for the reply dude! I’ll try them with an under shirt.

Tendonitis question; been trying out Glock as a uniplatform for ccw and USPSA after feeling inspired by you and Brantley. I’ve ramped up my practice with the full size grip lately and I’m noticing some minor tendonitis popping up for the first time-pretty regularly over the first few weeks of trying it.
Should I expect this to just be growing pains getting used to the new platform or am I likely one of those people (like Joel Park) who just get this issue on Glocks?
I prefer the Glock platform but don’t want to be battling tendonitis all the time.

all you gotta do is stretch homie! it will happen with literally any gun (or sport for that matter) with repeated, one-way tension with no training the other direction. Old school martial arts trick, shove a fist into a bag of rice and open your fingers slowly and methodically. New school- they sell some bands to put on your fingers to train extension (theyre like 5 bucks on amazon lol). That and just old school hand, forearms, wrist stretching before/after shooting and dryfire!

its very much not a "glock issue" btw lol it will happen to any serious shooter trying to make or maintain GM lol

@ thank you, I am relieved to hear I don’t have to sell my Glocks because I got bitch elbows. I will absolutely try that, very helpful to hear it can happen on any platform. Appreciate the advice!

@ hell yeah keep crushing! Don’t abandon Glock yet lol

@@slampat definitely didn’t want to abandon it. I think it’s happening now because I am focusing more on my grip and gripping harder than I did with my Shadow 2-the weight of which allowed me to cheat my grip slightly. Which looking back I think was to the detriment of my development since I was effectively cutting a corner in learning proper grip.
Now that I’m gripping properly I think it’s causing me to face the tendonitis for the first time. But now I have a roadmap to fix it, thanks again. Big help.

I’m kinda disappointed you’re doing open with a beretta and not a Roland special and a 6 second mount
