You are a beast with that rotary cutter..... thought I would suggest the shark rotary cutter since you make some smaller items. I know they have it at the Missouri star quilt company. It's a 10mm blade. We bought one for my husband who does leather work and he loves it. Just an idea for ya. Love your work and thanks for making more videos
Not sure if beast is a compliment or not... 🤔 I have a 10mm rotary cutter too but I found that the clearance was high enough and got caught on my ruler!
1. What tool are you using to make your marks? 2. What are you using to punch the holes and what size are the holes? Great project thanks for the idea!!
Just got an order for a check book cover so your tutorial was a big help. I have the same foot for my machine. How do you determine the 1/8" seam allowance using that foot as it's quite thick. The edge seems to be about 1/4" wide.
Great tute! I still Use my checkbook to keep track of debits on my register:). What width/length would you suggest for a snap tab? And probably double layer of cork?
First, I love the video and thank you so much for sharing. I have two questions. What size are the holes that were punching in the checkbook? What is the with of the vinyl used for the duplicate cover?
@@mrschrisljsr Honestly I'm not even sure the gauge. It's definitely a thicker vinyl to provide a sturdier surface for writing the checks. I'd get a flexible but thick vinyl.
Hi! Found you while looking for checkbook cover tutorials with duplicate divider. I've made a few (from cotton fabric) but each time I've made them different ways to see which was the best way to sew the vinyl divider on the pockets. I've been frustrated each time since it seems to be a bit fussy amd and finicky the ways I've done them. So, question, have you made them with cotton fabric with divider? And, if so, HOW did you do it...more easy way?? (Sorry if I'm being redundant & you've already got a tutorial here for it!)
Thanks, Nicole. Going to make this for myself.
Hope you like it!
Thank you so much. Love watching your videos.
Glad you enjoy the videos!
Great idea for the duplicate cover of the check books.
This looks like fun. I haven't written a check in 20 years but practice makes perfect.
I sell so many online, I’m always shocked 😂
@@SewGnar make that money!!!
Thanks 😊 my first time just found your channel
Welcome!
Thanks so much I just made one after watching this video a few times!
Thanks! Looks very easy. Love your videos.
Thanks Nicole.
Thanks for the free pattern! Looks very simple and straightforward! ❤️
So easy!
Thank you, Nicole! I love it.
Can you please post a tutorial on your wristlet clutch? I absolutely love your purses❤️
Hi Darlene, I do have a video on my wristlet clutch, the main photo is a purple bag with an orange paw cutout on it.
I made one of those and I just love it out of rainbow Corp.
Sorry I mean cork
So happy you like the tutorial!
Love it..you are so creative...love watching...
Great video! Looking forward to trying it👍🏻
Any one that makes these should get cork pens with their logo on them to resell. Bet they would sell like hot cakes
Great idea!
Thank you so much! I'm going to make one today!
Nice work Nicole. I can't wait to see more from you. I love your precision.
🥰🥰

Of course it was “meant” to be anyway 😀. I just thought I would mention it to you.
I love this and thank you for sharing your talents with all of us - I’m wondering what gauge clear vinyl you used?
Honestly I don’t even know, I just buy the thickest I can find!

A chalk pen and a radial hole punch, I’m not sure on the exact size, it’s the smallest setting on the punch (maybe 1/8” ?).
@@SewGnar thanks so much for your quick response! You are awesome! Can't wait to see more from you!!!

I just eyeball the 1/8". Its what I always sew with so I'm pretty good at just seeing it now.
Can you share the measurements without the spot for the pen? Nice video!
I suppose I would just shrink it height wise, so that's up to you. It's 7.75" tall in the video, so maybe 7"?
Great tute! I still

I do 1.75” wide by 2.75” tall, two layers

The hole I use is the smallest on my racial hand punch, probably about 1/16” of an inch or so. And the vinyl is 6” wide by 2.75” tall.
@@SewGnar Thank you! I want to apologize for asking about the second question, I wanted to know what is the thickness of the vinyl you use?

Hi Steff, I don’t usually work in cotton fabrics for my projects so no, I’ve never made one in fabric with a divider, I’m sorry!
when you "punch" your hole in this checkbook, what size punch are you using? your tool has multiple sizes and i cant find what size you use.
It’s a radial hole punch and it’s on the smallest setting, which is probably 1/8”? You can use any hole size you want really.
did you glue a black fabric to back of your cork? or did your cork come like that?
Came like that
Can you do this with fabric?
I’ve never tried! You’d have to seal the edges so they didn’t fray tho...
Do you still use that size needle?
I generally use a 14 or 16!
