The reputation of this beautiful creature is being more fully understood by your work, thank you for that.

Yet another example of the injustice of our court system. Oviraptor deserves justice for serving so many years as a false egg thief, and as does her family.

she still may have stolen somebody's eggs.

I take back my criticism; you have nailed it: they were really all over the place, so it *does* naturally follow that they'd be especially prevalent in Mongolia therefore.

Snapshot into the behavior of a prehistoric animal. By the way, I have difficulty communicating because I had a stroke in Broca’s area, the part of the brain that controls speech. 2/8/2021 but I lived again. (My wife helped me compose this.)

Ruby from the Land Before Time TV show was an oviraptor, I think.

Actually, now that we know what this animal was up to, it should be renamed "Ovicustos". ;-) As a modern day convergent counterpart, it resembled Guinea fowl or Casuaries.

Not to mention the *biggest* oviraptor species known: Gigantoraptor; this thing was *huge*, thirty-feet long *at least* and approximately as tall.

Its inportant to note it isnt wrong to show oviraptor eating eggs. Its still possible and quite likely. Its just not its main diet if it did so. Also as of recently its said to be more herbivorous eating hard seeds. But it may indeed be an omnivore.

True, but it is still bizzare they assumed oviraptor was stealing eggs instead of guarding them, when they first found skeleton. If I found dinosaur and eggs close to it, I would assume eggs belong to thus dinosaur.

@@pendragonsxskywalkers9518 thats cuzat the time people thought dinosaurs were could blooded, uncaring, reptiles that went extinct due to being inferior to mammals. Plus they couldnt check the eggs without destroying them.

@@dagoodboy6424 Even then, their way of thinking would be flawed as they are modern ectothermic reptiles who do care for their young.

    Oviraptor was calumniated.
It's not true what was said about it
Even it's name means egg thief 🐣
    Excellent images.
    Thanks for this video

You have it wrong; this animal had relative species/subspecies all over the northern hemisphere, if not all over the world.

I think your information about what Oviraptor and its relatives ate is a little incorrect. Most of the evidence we have suggests that they weren't true meat-eaters, but more like omnivores, eating both meat AND plants. And even then, a lot of scientists still think that it wouldn't pass up a chance to eat eggs as a free meal, because eggs are an extremely nutritious food.

But what they have been more carnivorous or more herbivorous, For example, snapping turtles are omnivorous but they have them mostly carnivorous/insectivorous diet and parrots are also omnivores but have a mostly plant/fruit eating diet. So what about oviraptor? And how could it ever eat fish clams and mollusks if it lived in a desert did he also get that wrong, I’m not trying to be sarcastic I’m just interested to find out what oviraptor mostly ate.
