We're traveling without a lot of the best muscle in the front five. It's very odd to be coming to NZ and think that we're better equipped in the backs than in the forwards. Hopefully we get parity in the pack and then we can all watch the backs do there thing. Apart from being pragmatic and a personality that can get great buy-in, Razor had the Crusaders playing like an NH Team, so I'm anticipating an AB team where we recognize the playing style.

As great as a coach as Robertson is im curious that if he loses the first few tests matches and fails to live up to the lofty expectations of kiwis, will he receive the same treatment as Foster? Will fans and 'experts' demand his head rolls, he is sacked and players dropped? Part of the reason for their poor result has been unavailability of some of those guys for a large part. And I dont know, but you have to have some doubts as to whether their coaching was up to scratch. So I think the coaches have to look at the bigger picture.

The midfield also has an abundance of talent available. JB and Ioane must be favored to start, but who provides cover and who misses out from (previous ABs) Lienert-Brown, Tupaea, McLeod, Havili .... or again despite all the existing talent do we see a new AB in Proctor and don't forget Aumua. Razor stole him from MP for the Crusaders before he left so much rate him. So what back 5 Crisis? Ridiculous!! Discuss who is the all critical halfback - 1st Five combo (and their back ups). Discuss who is the tight 5, particularly the locks. Discuss who are the loose forwards and what is the best combination / balance for the loosies. The issue is does Robertson a) stay with experience and only pick new players when he wants to experiment OR b) start picking new players off the bat to find his All Black team Lets hope he chooses (a)! No,NZ rugby had the best domestic comp in the wourld,that's what gave them the edge. And when the game went professional ,the northern hemisphere stripped it.That's why we are where we're at today.

We were professional in terms of aattitude and approach to the game.And that's it. Our NPC - was the best in the world,but it was an amateur comp,from an amateur era.The first NPC was in 1976. Northern hemisphrere types have gotthis ridiculous idea that we were only winning in that amateur era because we were all pro's.We weren't - it's just an excuse used to explain away why NZ was so good in that era.

Reuben Love was terrible in the semifinal. He's nowhere near international level on that performance alone and he's been average for the last few hurricanes games he's played.
No wasn't. You have to appreciate the Canes underperformed. Love played well, was solid and was one of the few who started some good moves. He took high balls 100%, solid on defence and was one of the few who didn't constantly kick the ball away. Jordie Barrett wasn't too flash and was one who kicked the ball away.

NZ rugby professionalised 20 years ahead of everyone and benefitted from that for a long while. Unfortunately for them, those days are OVER!!
