Which one would you rank as number 1?
number 2 easy, one of if not the most iconic try in rugby!
Lomu vs Catt... With Smithy commentating 😂
The one that was number 1. Such fantastic skills on display, and against the lions who are arguably the best team in the world. Did you miss him converting it too? There wont be another player better than Dan.
Agreed
the one with no.1 on it
12min of goosebumps and a tear of pride. i love the all blacks. 40yrs now.
Yep I love the AB’s as well. I have been following them since I was about 6 or 7,I’m 56 now but my love for the team remains and I never miss a game.
All of these could've been Lomu highlights, but I liked the video.
@@bgreen240 Love it!
@@AllBlacks you add TJ vs fuckin NAMIBIA but don't add Jeff Wilson chip and chase vs South Africa? Absolute dunce whoever made this
Best rugby try for me was 2013 against Ireland. That was an amazing team try. Best passage of play I've seen us play.
Lomu's try needed Keith Quinn's commentary
Yes, what's up with the All Blacks channel using south african commentary.
😂😂
Or maa nonu and Julian savea would be funny 😆🇳🇿🚀
It was priceless - Quinn was speechless for a few seconds after the collision: "Lomu... Oh... OH!!"
Who are the commentators in jonah lomu try in this video. Can you please tell me 😊
As a South African i can tell you this is the only team I have nightmares about there is no team that compares to the allblacks I feel there history... everytime they face up with the Boks it's very disturbing and a unsettling feeling comes over me and then that haka just makes me realise who we are facing...
Julian saveas try against france in worldcup QF is top 5, JKs try against Italy was pretty bad ass too. Waisake naholos return in worldcup was epic. So many great tries. Bender and beaudy, nehe, nonu even kaino 🙏🇳🇿
Oh, sounds like we need to do another video? 🤔🤔
@AllBlacks definitely, I'm surprised you didn't add that one in. Gets the ball on the 22 yard line and mows down 3 Frenchmen saving the biggest for last. That version of Savea was almost untouchable.
So many great AB's try's over the years. Hard to pick from them all. From that list my favourites are that Christian Cullen try due to the amazing set move to bamboozle the Aussies. I was bamboozled just watching it! Also Dan Carters #1. Dan in that Lions game was the most amazing individual performance I think I've ever seen.
Jonah Lomu's try against France in the 1999 RWC Semi where he ran through 7 French Players by himself is his best try.
0:09 Nehe Milner-Skudder vs 🇿🇦 (2017)
1:05 Joe Rokocoko vs 🇦🇺 (2005)
2:07 TJ Perenara vs 🇳🇦 (2019)
3:53 Luke Jacobsen vs 🇦🇷 (2023)
5:06 Israel Dagg vs 🇿🇦 (2010)
6:03 Doug Howlett vs 🇦🇺 (2005)
7:04 Christian Cullen vs 🇦🇺 (2000)
8:00 Josh Kronfeld vs 🇦🇷 (1997)
8:57 Jonah Lomu vs 🏴 (1995)
9:54 Daniel Carter vs 🇬🇧 & 🇮🇪 🦁 (2005)
Which one was your favourite?
@@AllBlacks I got 2 Christian Cullen & Israel Dagg. If I had to choose I'd pick Izzy's try.
@@AllBlacks Jeff Wilson
All great tries. Lomu against Australia in 2000 THAT GAME! Was at the Lions game, Carter was magical that night. Favourite is JK against Italy, Was there as a young 14 year old, Watched as he tore through them. That's my number 1.
The poster of this needs to find footage of Ian Kirkpatrick try against the 1971 Lions. A forward from either just inside the Lions half or possibly just inside the All Black half all the way to the try line by himself discarding defenders all the way. I think the greatest forward try in the last 70yrs, anywhere in the world.Stands above the famous Gareth Edward’s “forward pass “ try in my estimation, because it was one man through much of the opposition. Find it if you can, you wont be disappointed.
Kirkpatrick acknowledged that the try against the '71 Lions was probably his best-known but always considered his most important try was in the Second Test against the Springboks in 1970, when the Al Blacks won by one point.
The poetry of Johnny Wilkinson watching on helplessly as Dan Carter totally outclasses him.
Perfection!
These Tries Are Reminiscent To All Blacks Fans, Which Makes Rugby Such A Lovable Sport For Everyone To Enjoy
Dagg was so underrated. Would have been good in league too
How many all blacks do they name each year? like 28 or something I'm not sure. But if you live in a country with 5 million people and are selected in that small group of elite players multiple times to play the countries most important sport at the absolute highest level, you are rated.
@@gabrielking878 Yeah Dagg was correctly rated, he wasn't great wasn't awful
I know lists like this are subjective, but I think Beauden's try against France in New Plymouth in 2013 would fit in this list. It did get World Rugby try of the year after all...
Was that the Cruden offload off the deck .That was extraordinary
john kirwin's end of the world try...
Right? Lots of great tries missed from this. It’s a start at least at trying to actually use UA-cam to promote the game rather than shut everything down instantly.
Pom here. Wonderfully entertaining rugby.
ABs x France, RWC2015 QF .... Julian Savea scored one of the most spetacular tries of all time....that was really INSANE!
John Kirwan's 1987 Try!?
RE-EDIT! 😂
Wow wow and wow love watching the All Blacks
Best in the world by far (and im welsh😂)
Carter greatest individual performance in a Rugby game ever what 30 points v The Lions omg greatest player in History the GOAT
So wonderful!
Loved DC's try when the security guy's does the old fist pump,
Mike Catt getting steamrollered still makes me chuckle! RIP Lomu you legend!
All Blacks the only team the Springbok fans 'fear'. They demand respect.
Superb. They are the best
Jonah number 1. Goosebumps 95 rwc
Cullen against Aus back in 97 was one of the best ever in Rugby.
Great memories, love this team.
Love this
That was a small fraction of the great tries.
Could have had the same time slot but just Christian cullen tries,or Carter,Howlett,Umanga,Lomu, etc etc etc
Are you saying we need to make another video??
Number 4 - definitely the greatest try in All Black history. There are 2 that feature in Christian Cullen's show reel against Australia that I would rank in the top ten NZ tries ... one after a kick to Zinzan Brooke, who throws a long pass to Cullen who steps George Gregan a couple of times to score under the post. There's a long range try by John Kirwan against Australia that certainly ranks, and another where Andrew Mehrtens runs the blind side from a scrum in his own half and sets up a great try, again versus Australia.
Also! Jonah's try against France where he was black pinball bouncing off blue jerseys, including Benazzi, who Jonah throws off like a fly.
Desde España con toda mi admiración a los más grandes jugadores de rugby. !!!
Jonah running through the entire French pack at the 99 World Cup.
Haaanng on where's Cullen's try vs Aus at Carisbrook '97?? And so many more... Need an entire mini-series I think 🔥
ALL BLACKS THE BEST OF THE BEST FOR EVER AND EVER ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I LOVE YOU DAN❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
La grande classe . On ne peut avoir que du respect et de l'admiration 💪😉👍
Even if i am a Springbok supporter, I must say that the All Blacks have some of the best tries in history. They are the only team that makes me nervous and on the edge of my seat when they play South Africa. My 5 favourite All Black players of all time: J. Lomu, Carter, Cullen, Sony Bill Williams and Richie Mcaw ....
McCaw, Cullen and Carter. Three outstanding greats in a sea of great players.
All Blacks v Namibia in top ten is a bit like putting in a Globetrotter fast break in top ten fast breaks of all time
Okay, I'm English, so I was expecting Lomu against england to be 1.
However, my personal favorite try was Carlos Spencers through the leg pass.
John Kirwan v Fiji 1987 World Cup. Took ball on right wing, scored in the left corner
Lomu's try against France should be #1... The legend destroyed the entire French defence..
#4 try was one of the best set play tries. 2nd to Japans set play v SA in world cup
skudder had to be the slowest winger we ever had.
I think the 4 tries NZ V Scotland at Eden Park 1975 should be included
Would have put Jonah #1 purely because it’s so iconic and changed the game forever
Cullen 🔥
C'Mon NZR, they were good but you could have included some of our greats prior to the mid 90's and how was Cullen's effort v the Wallabies at the 'brook not included? Riddle me that......
Lomu was 6'5"? I knew he was a large human, i didn't know he was that tall.
Best try ever John Kirwin? Hands down
Rockogoko one was about 2 yds forward
can we get razor to try out number 4? Absolute poetry in motion.
Heeyyyy, where's that John Kirwan try where he ran through the ltaly team from one end of the field to the other
Has there ever been a more perfect player than Dan Carter?
How does the Tarinaki express only feature once!
How does Dan Carter only feature once is what you meant to say.
The set move finished by Christian Cullen
Nearly 10 years after we lost Lomu and to me he's still the greatest Rugby player of all time. And Im an Aussie
Good going forward, poor on defense.
Nonu try in 2011 wc vs Australia need to be in here mayn
How come there is no Cullem individual tries?
We need to do another video!
No tries from Jeff Wilson is a fuckin crime, what an absolute joke
Certainly one of the greatest. France Bunce punching through was always good to watch too.
Saw all of them live gang >
That’s what’s up.
LOMU! Oh! Ohhhh!
Try number 4 should of been number 1
What about the great try Danie Gerber scored against the AB - sure John Kirwin still has sleepless nights about the dummy pass
Im not sure JK remembers. He was in oxygen debt at the time like all the All Blacks who were playing at altitude for the very first time.
them tram lines are wicked
Can you please spare a couple for Parramatta.
Missing Jeff Wilson
Vision and skills are the key.
Whoever made this list was clearly born no earlier than 2023. Definitely NOT the definitive list of the greatest All Black tries. Still good though.
I have been blessed, a Wellingtonian, seeing the Paekak Express, Umaga, Beauden, Savias but also the old AB greats like Meads, Shelford, Lomu, the recent brilliance of Carter and McCaw duo.
But I'm a traitor. I much prefer watching the women now, the Black Ferns 15 and 7s. Same grit and determination, same skill level and success but they seem to love rugby more, have a real joy in playing the game, have so much fun. It is addictive.
Jaysus, you must be desperate mate.
Women's game has grown most definitely 🎉
Don’t forget Bernie Fraser
Not a rugby fan but no. 5 seemed very average to me. A simple 20 metre kick. Don't get it
Christian Cullen is the goat fullback
One of the absolute greats.
Without JKs try v Italy in 87, this list has no credibility.
What is it with SH rugby and forward passes? Why do they have different rules to the rest of us?
whinging pom - moan moan moan
No jk try? Am I missing something?
NUMBER ONE: ALL BLACKS FOR EVER.❤❤❤❤❤
DAN CARTER 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Weird, why not any maul tries? They make up 37% of tries in the last 3 years and yet not a single mention? Ridiculous list.
Because maul tries tend to not be flashy… which is what this video is about
Lomu's try at number 2 is alot better with Keith Quinns commentary.
´Legendary´ misuse of the word ´insane´ by UA-cam posters of sports videos, surely?
Loop😅
Memories Are Plenty Especially When You Have Class Acts Like The Carter's The Barrett's The Umangas The Cullen's The Lomus What More Can You Ask For .... Ruddy Gold Standard Class Acts Simply Ruddy Amazing
well well WELL 😳‼️⁉️
🥂
👊🔥
🪖
no keith quinn wonder call on #2 :(
Which are the two that are in mental hospitals?
skudder is the slowest winger in AB history
I see Cullen, I click…
CULLY!
I see Carter, I click...
I'm not really a big rugby person, but Cullen is a legend in my mind. I always watch him for the speed, skill, agility, athleticism.
This list is absolute bollocks, there's 10 all blacks tries alone from Cullen and Wilson that are better than 8 of these, letalone the others from lomu and umanga. The game basically died post 2015, try as you will to promote it, most of these so call best of are weak as.
No. 9 - That pass from Umaga to Smokin’ Joe was at least four meters forward.
8 - Perenara’s try is against Namibia…shouldn’t be in this list based on the lack of quality in the opposition.
6 - Izzy Dagg, unreal!!!
4 - Best backline set play try of ALL time!
3 - Kronfeld, involved three times…legend!
Umaga to Rokocoko isn't forward, go drop a ball out of a moving car, went backwards out of hand, this has been done to death, you are wrong.
@@rugga It’s definitely not, “backwards out the hand”…think you may need a trip to SpecSavers😂😂😂
@petasmith6258 OK, I expected that. I'll try and help you. Watch Tanas hands and the ball ONLY, and ABSOLUTELY ignore the ground and lines drawn on ground beneath them (it throws you off because of the angle the camera) Goodluck, if this doesn't help, you're probably a bit slow, all good.
@@petasmith6258If you want to better understand this, go back and watch the pass and push pause halfway through the pass, look where Tana is and look where Joe is......... , Checkmate
@@rugga Whole lot of excuses for a blatant forward pass…I know the supposed “science”.
It’s still, not “passed backward out of the hand”…I watched that try live at the stadium, on the replay screen at the stadium…& many times since.
When Union opened up the interruption of what constitutes a forward pass, these types of debates exploded ad nauseam. And it continues…
It’s still a blatant forward pass no matter how many words or responses you use to attempt to “justify” it.
This is a very average list 🤦♂️
better be a kiwi channel, and not a content thief.
TJ’s foot was in touch - try shouldn’t have been given unfortunately
What others call All Black Rugby MAGIC we kiwis call it SAME OLE SAME OLE.
Elder All Black and Kiwi, my heart goes out to Sid Going's family.
Any all blacks best of must have Jonathan Lomu
Milner- Skudder shouldn't be in here. Dude looks like Piri Weepu post AB's, had a 100m head start, on the field and on the pies - rubbish try 💩
The key is knowing Kiwis can fly.
It's no wonder we're only allowed to play all internationals with only 14 (13) men. Otherwise, the O.P will cwy and cwy and squeam "yah it just iz not fair yah?".
