- Here is a quick video replacing my old halogen bulbs with new led headlight bulbs on my 2000 Ford F250, and the modifications I had to do to make it work.

Hi, used the truck just last night. I have no regrets. Very bright. But as you know, almost anything is an improvement over the original oem light bulbs😄. I also bought the turtle wax headlight restorer kit. That made a huge improvement. Quite abit cheaper than replacing the lens. Ive used it on a '98 camry and a '09 honda fit. Amazing difference. I used an electric buffer and followed the instructions. Well worth the cost!

I bought a truck with the mod and just burnt out a front turn sig bulb on spyder led f250 headlight assy. So far it's a pain to access and bulb should have lasted more than 5,000 miles, for $55. Maybe running too hot, but supposedly no resistor needed... problems. I'd try replacing the factory headlight wiring before I'd mess with the LED scam. I replaced 1985 wiring in my antique vw golf diesel and saw 30% light output gains or more, it went from noticeably dim, to full normal and great in night/day, no more people pulling out in front of me, just from adding a new wiring harness for $50 off ebay, that plug and played in about 5-10m.
Sorry to hear about your lighting problems. I sold my old ford a little over a year ago. But I never had any issues with the headlights or turn signals. I really liked how bright the hi beam was, with the new lights.
Great video. I have a 2000 f250 and was able to install these lights without having to trim my locking ring. If you pull up on the new led wires and push the locking ring on there is barely enough room to slide it in without cutting. But it’s tight. Either way works just fine. These new leds on the truck look and function very good
Hi Nick, they are 1000% better than the old halogen bulbs. I was really happy with the improvement. My tabs were basically gone!😄.

Hey Pete, First, Very Nice Shop! I noticed Your Truck has the Fender Emblem of F450, is it really an F250.....asking for a Friend? 😉
That is the best upgrade I ever did to the truck. I did it as a prank on my older brother. We both ordered new fords back in 2000. He ordered a f350, I ordered a f250. But I ordered f450 emblems. And installed them the day I got the truck. A couple days later, I met up with the brother, and he swore I ordered a f250. And of course I lied to him, and said I ordered the 450. I played him for months before I finally told him the truth. He said he knew I was lying, but the emblems looked legit!! It has fooled ALOT of guys over the years. Good fun!!

Hi Alex. I put the grill on right after the truck was delivered, back in 2000. They were real popular back then. Cant even remember where I got it at. I did alot of stuff to the truck right after I got it. Put front leveling spacers on the coils. Painted all the handles, cowling and mirrors. Had all the factory orange peel buffed out, before I did the goddy pinstriping. But thats about it. Kept the original wheels. Glad I did that. Its been a great truck. That powerstroke 7.3 is hard to beat. I really appreciate you commenting and watching the video. Let me know if you have any other questions. Have a safe New Year!
@@retirementwithpete9859 thanks. Yeah, those are great trucks. My 7.3 should top the 400k mile mark this year or next. Mine was handed down to me after my uncle passed away. He used it as a farm truck and I've been slowly fixing things on it and upgrading things. I did the mirrors, next is the headlights, and maybe that grill if I can find it 🤣. That's one of those I didn't know I needed until I saw yours. That looks really good on there.
I looked on amazon, but all I could find are the billet style, which has the square ss bars. Looks ok, but I like the round tubes. 400,000 miles???

Do these just plug in or did you have to get an adapter?
Hey Zach, yes, they just plugged into my factory plug. Super easy to install, other than the locking ring. What year ford do you have?

Hi Matt, no I did not. The manufacturer didnt mention anything about the lights might be over powered. Ive been using them now for several months so far. No burned up wires or lights yet. What made you aware of that? Thanks for the heads up.😉

How are the brights?
Hi Dan, that was my biggest complaint about my old headlights. The highbeams almost were nonexistent. I am extremely pleased with the width of the highbeams on the new leds.
We live out in the country, and we really need good highbeams to avoid the wildlife. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@retirementwithpete9859 yep, I live pretty far away from street lights myself and need something better than stock, so I was thinking about led's, but some I've looked into don't have much a difference between the high and low beam. It's good to know Reese are a solid choice. Thanks for the video.
You just made me realize that I never added the description of the headlights. They are actually made by a company called Nilight. I used the 9007 50w 10,000 lumins, HB5 conversion kit 6000k cool white, mini size 2 pak. Found them on Amazon, $36. Im going to add a link in the video. Thanks for catching that.
What type of rig do you have?
