  • In this video is a 2023 BMW S1000RR on the dyno at the Ace Cafe in Orlando. This brand new bike is fitted with a full Akrapovic exhausst in Ti and also has a Bren Tune dowloaded on the computer. This is one sweet bike and would love to pick up one of these for myself in the future. #bmwmotorrad #bmws1000rr #bikelover #motorcyclelife #motorcyclist #bikelife #bikenight #musclebike

    Bren tunes does not 'tune' the engine. It just removes emissions restrictions. Bren is shit. It does not tune the fuel or timing. This bike is breathing way better, but without a fuel bump, its pointless. Engine is running lean so the knock sensors are pulling power.

    The hp numbers on spec sheet are always crank HP.The actual power on the wheel is always less .200 hp on the wheel with BT is very impressive

    I can tell you that I have a 2021 ZX10R tuned, full exhaust, etc. and my 23 s1k is waaay faster. Stage 2 Bren tune, full system, stacks, air box mod.

    Seems weird. They usually make between 188 and 192hp to the wheel when completely stock :) So for this to make less with a tune and exhaust is not good.
    Does the US get some detuned version? All EU spec S1000RR makes around 190 to the wheel.

    • @TRocksGarage777
      @TRocksGarage777  Рік тому

      We always get detuned versions here in the US. It's up to the owner to get it reflashed to European specs. Yes, that kind of sucks for us here in the US.

    Bren numbers are 5th gear pulls, not 6th (odd to me) like this dyno pull.

    • @TRocksGarage777
      @TRocksGarage777  Рік тому +2

      The guy that runs this dyno does not care what kind of tune the bike has. He will only do a sixth gear pull unless the customer requests a fifth gear pull. This is a portable dyno for tests only. Would be interesting to see a fifth gear pull on this bike. Good point.

    Did you know what the problem? Maybe fuel line compressed?

    • @TRocksGarage777
      @TRocksGarage777  3 місяці тому

      Well, in stock form they make around 174 HP at the rear wheel and 205 HP at the crank. With all the work done looks like he picked up 10 HP over stock at 183 HP. Lot of money spent for a 10 HP increase. I don't think a compressed fuel line is the issue here.
