John, I wear a bib when I watch your restoration project videos. I have a couple of back teeth that are gold and I am thinking of having them pulled so I can buy one of your restored bikes. I have to see a Vmax all pretty before the teeth come out. I had that old 1976 KZ900 and it had a frame that could not handle the power of those engines. Riding a KZ1000 in the twisties is kind of like riding a snake on a flowing stream. Lots of flex in those frames. Those "water tube" frames were pretty weak. I know the Vmax 1200 is not much better, but it has V-Boost, which makes a kick in the butt fun ride at 6,000 rpm.... Like injecting Nitros into the cylinders at 6,000 rpm. My heart is with the KZ's, but my bucket list to death bike is the Vmax 1200.... Now, were is that drool towel, I need to go clean up a bit... By from Shingletown.
Thanks for the video, sir.. I really like your approach on this project, specially nice to see that you went for the soda.. That finish was great, and your polishing did that engine pop.. This is gonna be a beautiful bike! Can't wait to see it again in the colour of black and gold.. PS. - your background music is the best possible!.. 👍
