Ford 7810 on double bale handler

- So the gear out that evening was:
A TM120 on a new mchale f5500
A 390T on a mchale 991B wrapper
An series 2 6610 2wd, AP cab on a single handler
Our own 566rz Renault with the loader and single handler
And of course, our newest purchase, a series 3 Ford 7810 on the double handler.
The 7810's are a grand tractor, just a shame they rust so much. Heading away to college now to be an agri-mechanic so no more videos for a long while. Doing a tig welding course as well in the meantime so hopefully that'll be handy in doing a bit of rust repair on the 7810. I want to try and fix the rust but it might be a bit of a big project. - Авто та транспорт

Well this one has got a turbo and a straight pipe since this video was taken so it sounds very different now. But yes, they sound alright👍

Thanks, yeah a full power shuttle is just beyond this tractor 😂. The renault is in a different class altogether. Enjoying the engine though, a gem of an engine 😍
Nice vid I personally if money wasn't a problem gone for a 40 series but still a very good tractor that with rust aside will go for many more years

i was a mech on these back in the late 80´s .... glorious sounding machine. Very versatile tractor, not to heavy and with its long wheelbase from the 6cyl. it does´nt lift off the front so easy like all these 4cyl. like 7610 which had similar power from turbo but need extra counterweight on the front axle when lifting a heavy machine. .
I never drove a 7610 but there is 480kg of weights on the tractor in this video and it is still light on the front! There's three things I hold against this tractor though, it's a bit slow and uncomfortable on the road, the cooling system is too small for the power and also the hydraulics are not as good as a modern closed centre system. Other than that, I really do like them as well.
@@WayneMescal yeah the 8210 was the real deal in the 100hp class when it comes to weight but the 7810 is still my favourite

@@kubanskiloewe yeah but thats not the 6.6 litre engine. Thats a modified 7.5 litre engine from the 8340 onwards with a bosch injection pump and holset turbo fitted. It makes over 300hp.
Oh god I feel a bit sick now. Hell you got some revs on to get the oil pump to go lol,, surprised to see she is bouncing even with the weights on. I see a 1056xl doing this job without any weights, she was up in the air badly on occasions, very amusing
Yeah I wish I could hold my head a bit steadier in these videos, they never come out the way I want them to. Grand tractor to lift dry bales but it was struggling on these wet ones. I don't have the optional second assistor ram as well which doesn't help.

It has the 3 sticker and I do believe it's correct. The registration says it's from 1990.
Could the 7810s do 40k by any chance??
Some of the last ones could but this one doesn't. It was pretty rare for them.

Bit light on the front for double bale handler, same as my 1135 MF
Ah it was only hopping because I was going over covered up drains. It's quite planted usually. Must fit a second assistor ram to it though, it would be less hard on itself. My cross shaft would be under way less pressure with that too.
I must look up a 1135, I know nothing about them. What are they like?

They weren’t too common in Ireland, she was bought new in the 70’s in Carlow, I got her a few years back for tractor runs and stuff, but she can do a days work too, but needs a restoration

Caper? But yeah I do plenty bale lifting with this tractor. A second assistor ram is needed. I've tested the pump pressures and both front and rear pumps are in good condition. Lift seals are good, it would be jumping if they weren't i think. There is still a problem somewhere but a second ram would negate the problem I think
