That center situation and playing third string lately no good rotation really screwed us up. It starts up front “literally “. Put Ten in that situation and they wouldn’t be saying “we woulda put up 50 on Houston”. We are just n a tough game but now with these key spots shoring up. I’m excited to see …ten is good but they aren’t 80’s hurricanes or tommie Frazier coming to town!

I don't think anyone is missing that. OU fans and pods have said all week that Tenn's offense is stacked. The reality is that young QBs are still young QBs and our defense is good enough to force mistakes so long as we play how we are supposed to.

@paulh3176 I'm not talking about the hurry up. What made Art Briles offense unique, and what Heupal does, is the wide splits. WRs way out past the numbers, it creates spacing and plenty of room to run. It forces the defense to show their hand by either bringing players into the box to stop the run, or leaving a light box to defend the pass. It becomes a numbers game for the offense where if it's a light box they run, if it's not they throw to the outside, if the safeties come down in run support they throw over the top. It's pick your poison basically. It's designed to put playmakers in 1v1 matchups. When you add tempo to that then it becomes very difficult for the defense to stay disciplined and it's pretty much impossible to disguise the defensive coverage because there's no time, and the offensive system won't allow it. BV loves to disguise coverage basically every play by the way, he's not gonna be able to do it. It's not at all a standard Big12 spread, air raid, or even what Oregon, Clemson, and Auburn have done in recent years which is a run-first power spread, read option system. It's a version of Art Briles veer and shoot, but more balanced and physical

OU would beat Huston by 50.... if they were healthy. But OU was missing several key starters for that game. We might be getting a few back for Saturdays game. Without them, I'd say it's going to be a somewhat close game. With them, Tennessee is on upset alert.
