This is the first year of the new SEC scheduling format that requires every SEC school to play every other SEC school at least two times within four years so things will even out.
Can’t soundly beat Houston, but yall are going to soundly beat the Vols? You getting a new offensive line? Cause the dline the Vols are bringing into the palace on the prairie is going to live in your backfield all night, and our linebackers are going to make Jackson Arnold pay for running the ball. Your D is good, but they will get tired. Only way you win the game is if you can stop the run with light box. I think your D is good enough to do that for a half, maybe 3 quarters, but Dylan Sampson is going to bust one or two late, Nico is going to hurt you on the ground and through the air. And in the end, Heupel is going to get his well deserved and ice cold revenge.
I don’t think that’s actually true. But if you have evidence that says Heupel wanted to leave everything he built at Tennessee after building up a successful program, and OU snubbed him to go get Venables in the course of like 2 weeks… I’ll gladly look into it and tell you you’re right.
What happened is that the SEC couldn’t hype both new teams, so the SEC chose UT to market and give an easier schedule. I’ve listened to several SEC shows, and the league almost despises OU while they are hands off onnUT. Strange. The marketing assumed that UT dominated the Big 12. It wasn’t even close. OU dwarfed UT in championships and Heisman trophies. There has been this fiction by the SEC. Very strange. I think when it came down to it, one was going to be marketed and one flushed. The existing members wouldn’t have allowed the league pitching both of the two new teams. I think most people view this as unfair, but it seemed to placate the existing schools. OU is hobbled, and they are still getting the hate from the league.

The scedules went off the past ten years on how many wins the team has abd thats why texas has a week scedule and oklahomas us si tough
OU always has major injuries start of season. might need to do no tackling in spring. I had more faith when we beat Saban's Bama team. We gonna lose this game because our offense is awful.
This game comes down to GREAT offense from Tenn vs good defense from Oklahoma. Tenn has too many weapons for Oklahoma to deal with is my statement i'll make here. They'll have the crowd behind them, but im sure Heupel knows a bit of how the beast in Norman works a bit, he'll use that to his advantage. Tenn wins it 38-21.
Josh was joking when he said it would be quiet…
Hey Oklahoma is not Chattanooga, not NC State, Or Kent State. It’s gonna be 28-24 OU
I have no problem with the schedule. It will only make us tougher in the future. We will take our lumps but OU is a legendary program with a history of championships second to none. Enjoy it while you can. BOOMER!!!!
Legendary program hasn't won a title since 2000
Good take my guy 😎
@@Saltytacozlol and the last time UT was in SEC championship was 1998 lol lol lol lol lol GTFOH.
OU has one of the worst offenses in a lot of the analytics.
TN has one of the best in a lot of the analytics.
OU and TN has one if the best defenses when measured by these same analytics.
Special teams i cant find as much data on with either team but i would give the edge to TN with the punters and kickers ive seen.
Tn by 20.5 and Nico doesn't play the whole 4th quarter.
They’re not “searching” for offensive linemen everyone is hurt so they’re shuffling to fill spots
What power 5 team have they played outside of sorry NC state? At least Houston is Power 5 and Tulane might as well be borderline power 5 as well.
That offense is in for a rude awakening they havent seen a Dline or secondary (this is #2 in takeaways) like this since they played Bama last year.
BV has been shutting down Riley, Sark, Day etc with his defenses. If you think tennesse is scoring 42 pointa period you are on copium.
Georgia too? Also ou is not bama, not even close...we played bama at home and dropped 20 on em in the first half with a subpar qb.
I know we've had a easy schedule. Our schedule was made years ago (and then got changed as a result of the merger of OU and Texas..... Can't hold that against us - It has kept us healthy and work out the bugs for OU...... We've been playing VANILLA.) BUT, I think we just have too many ways to score quickly...... 3 DEEP in running backs and 6-7 different receivers..... We can just score too many ways.... Not to mention the D-Line that we have...... We may beat them by 17-20 or more.....
The irony of saying other people are on copium but then acting like Tulane and Houston are somehow decent opponents is laughable
Calling a 2-1 NC State "sorry" when they're better than anyone OU has played this season is certainly a card to play..
@@jmill1334
Tulane would walk NC State today, tomorrow, and the next!!
Have you not heard of Sooner magic? You’re about to see it. Boomer Sooner!
Oh yes, Sooner Magic? Getting that rabbit back in the hat after Tennessee pulls it out would be magic indeed. “And for my next act…” 🐇🪄
They have to get healthy!
Who has Tennessee played?
Bro, get off of Mizzou's back. Texas schedule is even more of a cupcake that Mizzou's.
OU been injured in the wide receiver core top 4 outta 5 haven’t played a game you know that’s why the offense is struggling Joel I hate when yall get on here make statements and leave out Y when it’s obvious reasons plain as day 🤨
No way OU covers . . . Their OL is more than just suspect, its horrible. Second, UT tempo will wear down OU D-line quickly, they are not deep beyond the 2's. UT by 17 . . . GBO
I know we've had a easy schedule. BUT, I think we just have too many ways to score quickly...... 3 DEEP in running backs and 6-7 different receivers..... We can just score too many ways.... Not to mention the D-Line that we have...... We may beat them by 20 or more.....
@Sterlingrecruitment-m7p I'm sure they will . . . About Monday afternoon after a second round of treatment and finally catching their breath after sprinting up and down the field all night long!
Tennessee wins by 10 + points
OU by 7
21-20??? OMG stop
Ya it will be 21 - 27
In a shocking move (not really), Klatt picks Texas, USC, and Colorado to win the OU vs. Tennessee game. 🤮
Sounds about right.
Sooners absolutely got s____ed on the schedule and it isn't right, 😮
This is the first year of the new SEC scheduling format that requires every SEC school to play every other SEC school at least two times within four years so things will even out.
Welcome to the SEC
Joe calm down, every SEC school is required to play every other SEC school at least 2 times every 4 years. Things will even out.
OUs defense isn't quality!! We haven't played anyone!!
Josh isn’t playing
Tennessee 48-23
OU soundly beats Tennessee! Tennessee will not be able to run the ball!
Let’s not ignore Tennessee head coach is a OU alum who didn’t get the job. He will pound them and show them why they should’ve hired him.
I don’t think that’s actually true.
But if you have evidence that says Heupel wanted to leave everything he built at Tennessee after building up a successful program, and OU snubbed him to go get Venables in the course of like 2 weeks… I’ll gladly look into it and tell you you’re right.
They fired him back in 2014 when he was their OC. 😂😂
They fired him because Stoops wouldn't fire his brother and there had to be a scapegoat.
@@Jacobfr69420 Tennessee covered the -7 👀
Tennessee win by 27 point easy
Given the opportunity CJH will absolutely run up the score a bit.
Remember Mizz from 2022?
Mizzou is a con artist. Doing whatever they can to lowball their way to a 10-2😂 If they played OU’s schedule they’d be 8-4 at best.
Turn those sour grapes into wine and throw a party when OU upsets one of those big dogs. Wait for it…
What happened is that the SEC couldn’t hype both new teams, so the SEC chose UT to market and give an easier schedule.
The strength of schedule was based on your success in the last five years.
Well doesn't apply to UT...we gotta play UGA and BAMA every year
I’m not sure that word “vibe” means what you think it means…
LOL. score is a joke...for like 41-20 Tenn
I know we've had a easy schedule. Our schedule was made years ago (and then got changed as a result of the SEC merger of OU and Texas..... Can't hold that against us - It has kept us healthy and allowed us to work out the bugs for OU...... ) We've been playing VANILLA on Offense and Defense with a sprinkle here and there. BUT, I think we just have too many ways to score quickly...... 3 DEEP in running backs and 6-7 different receivers..... We can just score too many ways.... Not to mention the D-Line that we have...... We may beat them by 17-20 or more.....
OU fans attacking Tennessee's schedule like OU has played ANYBODY is certainly the wildest thing i've seen in the lead up to this game.. OU fans.. Your opponents are a combined 2-7 and so are Tennessees.. You have no room to be shafting anyones schedule.. Especially when Tenn's resume has a ranked win which is better than anyone you've played.. You both haven't played anyone cosidered a true playoff contender.. Stop pretending your week 1-3 was Texas, Georgia and Ohio State or something..
Prove it on the field that's all I got to say
I think what you just typed was a straw man.
Questions about how your stats will look against a better defense compared to previous opponents doesn’t imply any OU fans are claiming anything about their own schedule.
I think it’s just a face value question… Will Tennessee look equally dominant against tougher defenses?
The same question is true for OU’s defense against Tennessee’s offense.
@dannycallahan3156 yep, they both need to. But I don't see Tenn fans pretending they had a wildly better schedule.
@Jacobfr69420 any yet it seems only OU fans are crowing about schedule. They both gotta prove it.
Oklahoma 48
Tennessee 37
48 😳
What u smoking 😮
Oklahoma will struggle to score more than 20
All talk. If you believe that, then bet that.
They should've put one in the east division and the other in west and kept the sec the way it was
Vols will win by 20
He is going to cover and klatt is bad at gambling
Tennessee by 1? Blahahaha
The Vols are going to destroy the Sooners
😂 we’ll see
Josh would never throttle his old team.
Ou has no OL .ou fan here but tennesse by 20
Hmm??? Wanna loose money go with him!!! Tn Vols by 17 not being rude but gotta call out B.S when I see or smell it
There should be a law that any major sports show that predicts a score for a big game has to bet on it and prove it. Guarantee Joel Klatt wouldn’t put a $1000 on OU to cover -6.5. They just spout out nonsense after not intently watching both teams games for the year
Hey Joel, your words are true. My thought is if TN’s defense is maturer than OU’s offense, then Arnold is in trouble. Plus Huepel knows the mind of his former DC. My Sooners may be in trouble.
My sooners going to lose bad😢
Bro what are you talking about? The number 1 offense and the number 2 defense going up against OU’s offense is not going to be pretty! No way OU gets to 20 points. UT 41 OU 13
Trust me. It will not be this close
Tennessee - 178
OU - 3
47-10 GBO
This. Is. O.U! 🦵
OU is gonna get curb stomped. Arnold is garbage at QB.
No his 1,2 receivers have been injured and the 3 and 4 as well
Tennessee beat up terrible teams. It won’t be that easy against real competition.
@@taylorsmith9629 and pray tell what world beaters OU has had to deal with that showcase their excellence? 3 teams with a combined 2-7 record? Difference has been Tenn has beat up their cupcakes and destroyed a borderline top 25. OU's barely been able to handle 2 of their cupcakes. NC State alone compared to any OU opponent invalidates your argument.
@@taylorsmith9629 Oklahoma barely beat trash teams the past 2 weeks. So…… Tennessee will smash OU by at least 20. OU isn’t real competition in the SEC, maybe in the BIG 12, but they are below average for a real conference.
@@saburrashid5566 with that being considered he looks like a deer in the headlights against very below average teams the past 2 weeks. He can’t throw at all. Tennessee is a real team in a real conference. OU will lose at least 4-5 games this season in the SEC.
