ive watched 19 episodes now, and I've still got a year to go.
good subjects, good content and the right amount of commentary with humour.

This is so useful, great video! I was about to order a regular rubber one for my GTV 3.0 24v, but a friend suggested to use the polly one and here you are injecting even more conviction to follow the advice. Awesome stuff!!!

Just a heads-up and something to keep an eye on. Unfortunately the PU bushes do not hold as it should be. Really depends on the application of course but I've gone trough 3 sets of them on my track car. Just after a day of testing the outer edge shears off. Especially with the bigger end at the engine side (tried both sides) due to the fact that the washer is a bit smaller than the bushing itself.
On my relatively standard "Sunday's" car it does held up though. But that doesn't see any track time and only spirited drives.

Hi, love the videos, there’s no need to support the engine when removing this stabiliser, I’ve just done mine and it stays put. (Although I moved my feet from under the car when I did it 😅)

Great video Rick. That's my next job for my V6. Where did you buy the kit? Also, where did you get the replacement plastic cover for the fuel line and electric cables just to the right of your engine mount, the one on the left hand side edge of the upper aluminium engine cover.

Thank you, Sir. There is a link in the description for the bush kit. As for the rest……they are all original, just cleaned up. The plastic cover for the fuel line still has one broken clip but still closes fine with the other. You can’t tell when it’s closed. If I find any replacements online then I’ll replace it but I Haven’t seen any available yet

is it true poly bushes get creaky as they get old & dusty and have to be removed from time to time for cleaning & lubrication ?

Bought this set of bushes only to find out that my PH1 916 has a different engine stabilizer mount... Which only very few websites mention and when they do, without pictures..

Are there any cheap rubber bushing I can push in? Cheaper (hopefully) and I'd rather stick with rubber.

A safer way, no cut fingers or brace, is to use the 30mm socket, a few nuts, washers and a length of threaded rod and pull the bush out a-la Edd China.

    • @_RicksGarage

Yep, wind them out. I’ve done that many times in the past. In fact I have a tool specifically for doing it too

Cool, wish I had that tool when I replaced the entire bush set with Powerflex on my 156. I spent ages rooting around my garage for threaded rod and nuts that fit each other 😖
