Great location we'll have to have to consider. We were at war with CA earlier this year, threatening to put us in jail over unpaid 2017 taxes. I moved in 1998, my wife in 2011, give us a break! We won, but for awhile it put a bad taste in our mouth about vacationing there. The dreaded scale, haha. The average person gains 7 lbs on a cruise. I bet that's not the case in a timeshare, where people are cooking themselves. On a cruise I used the stairs instead of the elevator, and mostly eat fish and veggies, so I gain nothing. I met one guy on a Carnival cruise who ate Boston Pie for breakfast, hamburgers for lunch, and pizza for dinner, all 14 nights!
Marbrisa is one of my favorite locations. Yes, cooking for yourself somehow instills self restraint. Cruise eating sounds too easy to lose self control
@@timesharetraveler Cruise eating is dangerous without restraint. On my first cruise, I got used to a midnight burger or pizza. This is a bad habit I took off the ship. The following cruises, I have reinforced healthy diet to maintain or lose weight. On that 14 night cruise, several even mocked me. "You're on a cruise, you're going to gain weight anyways, we're on vacation so enjoy!" Maybe in moderation, but these people want everyone else to eat junk every meal like them. They must eat crap at home or they wouldn't be able to stand it for long.
I prefer to manage my diet and be healthy.... Vacation is not a roman orgy to me. It is a time to reflect, not indulge... I agree with you about being careful what you eat.
I don't think so... I was staying in the newest of the buildings in the "Point" network. Marbrisa was opened around 2011 so I suspect some of the rooms in the older areas will need a refresh soon.

Are all the rooms newly renovated?
