Paint brush... why didn't I consider that? No fumes (well... almost none), and less waste. I have a CC fabricated deck. The mower needed work. I got it running, but haven't been able to spend any time on the deck. Sounds like a good winter project. BTW, this belongs in the "Oddly satisfying" Reddit sub.
Nice work. I have a new to me Cub Cadet that needs this done. The big problem is grass stays trapped under the pulley guards allowing moisture to collect so I run with them off so I can blow compressed air across the deck and clean it off. I will disassemble and take it to a sandblaster, you worked harder than I want to.
Got the same Deck on my Huskee Supreme 26hp 54" from Tractor Supply it's an MTD Deck they make them for many different brands in many sizes mine is an exact duplicate of this one but red instead of yellow
Good morning. I am working on a 38” john deere deck that i just picked up and was wondering why you brushed this deck instead of rattle cans? Im thinking of new spindles also because i don’t see a grease fitting? Thank you and have a good day
Good morning. I use brush to access everywhere and to get a thicker layer of paint. but to get a better finish, rattle cans is better. New spindles sounds like a good idea so you are sure it can be greased. but som deck dont have grease fittings. Thanks and have a good day
@@Larssons-Garage Good morning. Ok i was just wondering and have rattle cans in a bunch of cover but wanna take a wire brush to is first-i did see yesterday that there are grease fittings-maybe i will just replace the bearings- i have watched some videos on that and how to put a vent hole in the spindle and remove 1 side of the bearing cover and face them inwards so they get grease! Kinda makes a lot of sense! Thank you and have a good day
@@setdown2 Hi. Looked again at this deck and do see a grease fitting on each spindle. They don’t wobble so thinking of replacing the bearings. Thank you for your help. Hope you have a good day
I just did mine last summer, same looking deck except mine’s a 50”. Not even 3 mows in this year and the paint started flaking off exposing rust underneath. What a PITA it was the first time, and I used rattle cans but I didn’t convert/treat the rust. Not that it’ll fix it forever but it slows down the rust. So I stripped it all back down to bare metal and put a rust reformer paint on it(w/spray gun) this time, then sprayed some really thick paint on it. Waiting on a few more parts to put it back together. Seriously wish I’d bought a mower w/fabricated deck as that’d actually be worth repairing. Best case scenario, this deck will be flaking off in 2-3 years again. Anyone know of a good clear spray or coating that’ll help keep the grass and dirt from sticking so bad?
Nice work and great detail! I did the underside of a JD LX255 and came out great with the brush and paint.
One of the best cutting decks in the market!
Is that a CC LT1050 deck?

That is so fast, I wish I can do it too. 😊.

You invent something that works to keep the grass and dirt from sticking and you will become a very rich person in no time.
Slip plate
Brukte du Rust Master som grunning? Smart! Da trenger jeg ikke sandblåse. :)
Precis👍 Det funkade för mig :)
Whats your location? I got a 72 in groundsmaster in NJ needs overhaul
Hey!

Why not slow down video?
Hey! Thought the clip got too long at normal speed.
All steps are included, although in hi speed
You know... you CAN play it in slow motion.
