Brilliant video, I had completely missed that Rook had the knife, and after watching the gameplay trailer and how it ends I wonder if they end up picking it up later on in that scene. Solas was using it to open the veil so I wonder if we’ll use it in a similar way. That the veil though not torn down completely has been torn enough by the ritual so maybe Rook can use it to travel into the Fade more easily than ever before. It may even be tied to a sort of fast travel system, like a cross between the Inquisitor’s anchor and the eluvians and it’s how Rook and their companions evade the two figures that are emerging from the Fade at the end.
I think it is worth mentioning that the knife that Rook is holding in the art is much bigger than the knife that Solas has, they are different knives or rather yours is more of a short sword.
Solas should stop making ridiculously powerful artifacts. Oh, his orb, yeah, corypheus got it. What his super powerful knife, Yeah, he dropped it and rooke got it. For gods sake, solas pay attention.
Hmmm... I'm wondering in the end of this game do we suddenly realize we've been helping Solas the whole time? and that he actually does manage to destroy Thedas and maybe if our Inquisitor did end up binding themselves to an ancient elven god in their story they end up serving him?? I know its a bit outlandish but i'm so conscience of our MC being betrayed that i feel like something like that would be the worst betrayal of the series - especially if somehow Solas gets his claws into our romance option in DATV 😱?
Solas absorbed or merged with Flemeth/Mythal. The well of Sorrows was Mythals so whoever drank from it got massive knowledge and arcane power but they were bound to Mythals will, who now is a part of Solas. That means if you as Inquisitor drank from the well you are bound to Solas/Mythal. Or Morrigan is..
Well Ive already decided on my characters name, Allston Rook, I think it has a nice ring to it. My previous characters we're Robert Cousland, Ethan Hawke, and Alec Trevelyan.
I haven't decided yet for my Rook, but I'm probably going to choose Shadow Dragon as a background - and my previous canon characters are Miriel Tabris, Eleanor Hawke and Latheia Lavellan :)
@@LordFoxxyFoxingtonI’ve got a feeling the gryphon from the trailer will be filling the dog companion slot this time, but hopefully we’ll get both. If not, I can’t complain since we’ve finally got a gryphon if nothing else
So got a few thoughts. Solas absorbed Flemeth/ Mythals soul and possibly the Archdemons as well along with their power. So hypothetically who ever drank from the well of sorrows could become a minion of the Solas/Flemeth/ Mythal/Archdemon entity. It could also explain Solas comment about they always die during the game play release as coming from the demon aspect. So your Inquisitor may become a thrall or minion of the Dreadwolf, or Morrigan if you let her drink at the well. That would definitely complicate things..
15 years into Dragon Age and they finally give us an official Murder Knife, that's hilarious
Would love to somehow steal it from solas
Rook is depicted holding it in some of the official images, so I’m pretty sure you’ll get your knife!

The knife reminds me of something from the jaws of hakkon
