The banter between Lucanis and Emmerich was adorable. I romanced Lucanis in my first playthrough and brought him on a lot of missions. After recruiting Emmerich he also grew heavily on me so he'll be saved for my second run through. The mutual respect between Emmerich and Lucanis is so refreshing to watch.
Emmrich desperately trying not to admit that King Markus is probably undead is great but I'm listening to Spite being DISTURBED/CONFUSED/OFFENDED by Manfred having his own limbs over and over again 😂 "It has. *Hands."* and "Curiosity. Has. Feet!" are taking me out on a loop but Lucanis's "We have enough feet!" is potentially the line-read of the whole game
As a member of the Mourn Watch you get some great dialogue about King Markus. 😂 But as a member in good standing, I feel it's my duty to say... *cough* he is definitely, for sure, alive and well and any reports to the contrary are propaganda by his enemies and should be ignored.
Cool to see Emmrich mention his dating history with an Orlesian woman! Trying to pry any of that kind of info out of him in his companion quests doesn’t work, so it’s nice to see that characterization
As a Mourn Watcher, you get some fun dialogue about him. 😅 He's definitely alive. Don't even worry about it. He's a very spry man for his advanced years, and the staff necromancers at the palace are there for entirely unrelated reasons.
For me, it was a breath of fresh air to play a party based RPG where every "dispute" is mostly drama free and solved like adults and everyone is mature enough to realize the main story arc is more important than bickering among themselves.
@@mandu6665 It's hilarious how many people are complaining about the party not having any friction, and I'm like, First of all, they do. They REALLY do at first. And second, maybe they just realize there's a little more at stake.
1:21 love that Lucanis’ writer confirmed that Lucanis is demisexual and panromantic and the romance scene between Rook and Lucanis was Lucanis’ first time :)
It makes me sad that so many people hate on this game for a handful of scenes. I personally don’t like that they had those scenes because I don’t feel that they belong in a fantasy game but this game is fantastic beyond that.
Inquisition's full head of hair love interests: a drug addict who enjoyed torturing mages and a charlatan too cowardly to admit his mistake of killing women and children for money and a poser Grey Warden. Veilguard's "balding" romance options: an older scholar with a once in a generation talent who has a high level of apprecation for things of the unknown and a coffee loving contract killer who can also cook his ass off. I'll take balding. Only wimps care about hair.
I never thought of Lucanis as balding. Loads of young people naturally have hairlines like that, but if anything these characters are hotter for actually looking like men their age. And Emmrich would absolutely not pull off his horror-movie inspired look without his hair. I love it. Screw Cullen and his stuck-on-looking doll hair. Blackwall looks better to me.
vealguard banter is weak compaired to past DA titles...Viv and Sara in inqusition is hilarious better than Jack and Maranda from mass effect2 and thats saying alot. I miss Merrille and Varics banter
Lucanis's comment to Emmrich about his first relationship is different when he's romancing Rook. He says something to the effect of "all one of them, I'll let you know. I don't know what she (Rook) sees in me but I'm happy just being around her" 🥲❤ Maker I love Lucanis sm he's absolutely my perma romance in Veilguard!
Bring them both to Blackthorne Mannor the first time and Spite asks if he can eat the self lighting candles.
YESS lol he loves fire
Lucanis learning how to cook so he would know how to make churros is a big mood
It's definitely Viago, isn't it.
I believe so.
I feel like Viago was the Crows most eligible bachelor for a long time before Teia snagged him
Totally Viago...I mean look at Viago the man is gorgeous
Apparently Viago would risk it with Vorgoth. He’s definitely up for it 😂
Poor Viago doesn't know what he will expect if he sees that hulking floating cape vape.
I wish Rook could have interacted more with these banters

Was about to romance Lucanis but Emmrich snatched the spotlight. He was a really sweet romance. Doing Lucanis for my 2nd, so opposite to you haha

Emmrich 'The only good nobility is DEAD nobility' Volkarin is growing closer and closer to my heart.
I appreciate the tidbit about King Markus of Nevarra xD Dear Maker 20 contracts, 7 poisonings. He's not spry or blessed, he's a damned Highlander.
Na he's. Uh. Just not bothered by that sort of thing.
Lucanis' little "really?" when Emmrich says his knife suggestion worked melts my heart, he's too wholesome for his own good
it has
FEET
That "waste of hard work" line made me spit out my drink.
I love Emmrich so much. 10/10 best romance.
I love spite hes like a child learning
to me the best was Lucanis teaching Taash how to be a Crow
Yeah that one is interesting, or Davrin & Lucanis rivalry banter xD
Their banter is adorable
I always had these two in my party in my first playthrough. I was romancing Lucanis and love both these guys.
they two have surprisingly similar hairlines
King Markus Pentaghast is STILL ALIVE? He was elderly and feeble over a decade ago in Inquisition
Pretty sure they're implying something else lol.
They're implying he's a risen undead.
As a Mourn Watcher, you get some fun dialogue about him. 😅
He's definitely alive. Don't even worry about it. He's a very spry man for his advanced years, and the staff necromancers at the palace are there for entirely unrelated reasons.
I swear id buy thus game just for the companion interactions😂

These banters are actually really fun, especially once Spite joins the conversation 😂
"You both like finding the strangest magical thing you can... And poking it"
This is everything I needed, thank you for the time spent wandering waiting for conversations lol
Emmrich and Lucanis banter is the best
1:21 love that Lucanis’ writer confirmed that Lucanis is demisexual and panromantic and the romance scene between Rook and Lucanis was Lucanis’ first time :)
Sad you didn't include the banter if you chose Emmrich to become a Lich. Spite is asking about Manfred then
I couldn't let go of Manfred, but I plan to do Lich Emmrich run and check the banter.
Ahh the Experienced Parent and the Relucant Parent
It seems indeed much more interesting than other companions lol. I stop watchong to prevent spoilers. My favorite banters remain Inquisition 😊
Their voice 😳, so tender and sweet
Fun fact: In LatAm there's a massive campaign for people to NOT make churros at home because they can produce bad oil burns.
It makes me sad that so many people hate on this game for a handful of scenes. I personally don’t like that they had those scenes because I don’t feel that they belong in a fantasy game but this game is fantastic beyond that.
I would have accepted the knife. Knifes are cool
who is the Crow he gave a knife to? or tried to?
Popular theory and implication is that it was Viago.
@@starberry_lemonade and years later he goes for another de riva 🙈
Viago. "You met him" gives it away. As well as "from another house" (de Riva). the only male Crow from another house that Emmrich has met is Viago
@@diorvage Lucanis also describes the recipient of the knife and Viago as having "peculiar taste."
Interesting since Viago has a wonderful chemistry with Theia.
What does Lucanis mean with Antivans dead not making deals?
Emmerich is the most.. not irritating much companion for me)
So what's going on with Emmerich and Spite? Are they together?? And is Lucanis third wheeling that? This game is so weird haha
Emmerich starts a relationship with Strife, not Spite.
No, Strife is an elf from the Veil Jumpers
Strife is a Veil Jumper. Spite is the demon in Lucanis. Not the same.
@@onomatophobia327it sounds like Rook is involved in helping with that. I didn’t get any of that in my play through
I actually am glad someone else made this mistake, i was confused for quite awhile😅
Why are 2 out of 3 male love interests in this game balding wtf BioWare
But people loved Solas and he's straight up fully bald

I can see the criticisms about the dialogue and banter. It is abit painful to sit through.

Well, his writer did confirm that he is demisexual and panromantic and that he had never been physically intimate with someone before Rook :)
