Such a fan of this man. He’s passionate, persistent, creative productive and possesses all kinds of skills. He seems to pursue music for the best heartfelt reasons. And how about that Albert system? Bravo!
Hi Robert, I'm in Edinburgh, a city with a long tradition of producing jazz musicians. I get paid for playing gigs and also earn a tiny amount from the ads that appear on these videos. So keep watching! Stick in with that sax, it's a great joy to play and to hear.
GREAT APPLAUSE … 💐 Love your videos. Subscribed. May I ask a question? I want to do what you are doing. At 75, I bought an upgraded Biffett R13 new. This is the best clarinet I could afford and love playing long deep notes. Generations ago, I took lessons with a cheap Conn student model and two reeds. I alway struggled with the mouthpiece on clarinet. Now, with a wide variety of reeds and mouthpieces, I’m in seventh heaven taking Zoom lessons with Klezmer clarinet from Robin Zeletsky … that said …
Great to hear from you. I play in my own band The Joys of Swing and another 2 bands as well. I'm currently trying to get to grips with Take Five on my new Yana alto sax. I'm 78. Keep on blowin` Rob
Awesome Ian... Ian where do you live? Do you play for a living or just for fun? I ask because I'm retired from the crazy world of working and have picked back up my passion of playing the sax. I played in the navy band years ago, but had to get a career to support family. I love your sound Ian. Bob

Grandioso, un bel tema e improvvisazione da favola, penso che il tema è un'improvvisazione 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
So great! I read somewhere that the perfect improvisation is when you can't tell what is written composition or improv. This is a perfect example.
Beautiful jazz clarinet tone.
Beautiful my mate

🙏What is your mic set up? It looks impressive. Is it expensive? My best, Rob in the USVI w/a spare room for music & guests.

I use a Sampson G track mic which is good value.
