Thank you for the video! You are completely right with the F3.5 problem in burst mode! This is the only thing i really hate about the A77ii. Now I don't have the camera, but i think that the F3.5 lock is also in video mode with AF, isn't it? Due to the SLT technology, the camera already has a lower photosensitivity. And now you cannot even take faster lenses to compensate the problem. I don't think that sony will make a firmware update, because the old A77 has also the same issues. (sorry for my bad english, but i hope you know what i mean)
I pretty sure the aperture was stopped at 3.5 during burst mode because there is no way that the camera/lens can adjust the aperture between shots at 12 fps - which it would need to be able to do in order to call it a "full auto at 12 fps"... The camera can do the metering and adjust the shutter speed and also the focus during burst... But adjusting aperture is much slower... Of course they could have gotten around that by just demanding that the aperture was dialed in before you started shooting the burst and it was locked for the whole burst at wherever you set it.
