We had a lot of fun that day. My Ford truck is a good old truck I bought from the guy that had put every mile it had been driven. It's been a good one. I would like to go bigger at some point with a dual wheel. I've run out of room in this one.
When I did the tank holes, I just dig me a ramp to walk in. I don’t have the tremble earthworks, and then I don’t have to climb in and out on the ladder by myself, but just make a ramp to walk down . Enjoyed the video as always.

I don’t mean this in a bad way but, for me, I have found it hard to find someone willing to help me like that. A lot of em I know are busy. I got a couple good friends that do different dirt work and they have stayed slammed and thank the Lord for that and for them and their families. I’ve volunteered you know to work for em for free for the help and experience but it’s just tough. And I get it. But I keep looking around, asking and praying. 😅

He’s right. When putting in septics that the engineers design” it makes sense if you don’t think about it.” Especially in my area. We have grown water problems so all the septics are switching over to IA systems and you gotta be a scientist to understand them 🤦♂️. Great video Sam !

It's a challenge digging fairly deep from late fall to early spring. The shadows that's cast from the low sun make it really hard to see what your digging, especially as my eyes get older and older, lol
You ain't a kidding. Lots more easier than the old lateral lines with rock n pipes. We installed 220' in no time and the cost to install is way cheaper

I need a good laugh after this neck surgery. Oh maybe I don't because the Dr cut me from the middle of my neck down to between my shoulders blades. Got a bunch of staples. A 1 half hour surgery turned into 3 half hours. He said it's going to be 2 months of recovery and 8 months to a year before the bones completely heal. This is the most painful surgery I've had and I've had 12 or 13. This was my 3rd neck surgery and I've had rods and screws put in my lower back. Getting Old Ain't For Sissies!! 🤣🤣 Be Safe Out There and GOD BLESS!!

How long has that Arc Chamber been around? I remember my father had to rebuild a leach field at the house I grew up in. If I remember right they used 4" perforated pipe in gravel for the leach field.
Hey Sam just wanted to hear your thoughts on this: what do you do when digging a deep trench and the bucket keeps getting stuck on the sides and doesnt want to dig lower? only way i can dig lower is if i widen the trench... uaually happens on 4-5+ foot deep straight line trenches
I was told by a manufacturer of septic tanks (concrete) that in the State of Georgia only a licensed contractor can install a septic tank and system. I realize you are not in Georgia but do you know if I can at least dig my own tank hole and leach field?
In TN a land owner can install their own system. Best way to find out about GA is call the state inspector on the permit and ask them if it is permissible in GA.
I did a job in Ringgold for a church as a favor to them but I actually don’t have insurance and DOT authority on trucks to come into GA. Where are you located?

To keep the tank from floating here in Pa we put straps across the tank and connect them to concrete bumper blocks before we backfill
That is a good way to do that! We do that on buried storm shelters…

Yeah, that is about all you can do is make it a little wider. Side cutters on the bucket should help with that a lot though.
