All the facts he pulls together, and the smallest details that I have missed, despite my numerous times watching these older episodes, is fantastic.
If you loved the music of this episode definitely check out "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics" season 3 episode. The whole episode is just musical segment after musical segment. The episode even spawned a studio album with more songs not featured in the episode!
The episode has no story behind it, but it's a christmas tradition in my home. But i don't how good this would work to react to it. I would be down though.
That's my fav SP Christmas episode. Garrison's song is great.
The songs for that special is very hit or miss though. The dradel song is one of the most catchy songs in the series though
I feel like copyright would be a massive pain to deal with, though

Aside from being a great Officer Barbrady centered episode: it's also where a famous catchphrase came to life 😂
14:23 During filming of the live-action Mr. Hankey commercial, the baby originally held the Mr. Hankey stool (actually chocolate) and took a bite out of it. Comedy Central officials would not allow the scene in the episode and it was changed to portray the idea that the baby had already eaten the stool off-camera, which Trey Parker said he felt was actually funnier.
On the season 3 episode “Mr Hankey’s Christmas Classics”, Mr Garrison sings a song that teaches about Christmas all over the world. In it he explains that in Japan all they do on Christmas is eat a cake.
The very first South Park episode I ever saw! I was nine years old flipping through channels and just happened to come across singing Christmas Poo! 😂

I gave a Jewish friend one of the Christmas tree candles I made for Christmas presents that year and he got all choked up and looked like he was going to cry. He said no one ever gave him a Christmas present before. He still has that candle on display in house all year long.
I'm usually pretty constipated (I drop one like 3 times a week on avg) and today I pooped twice, both of them pretty soft too. Truly a Christmas miracle, Merry Christmas everybody 🎉😊🎉

Merry Christmas Dash! I've said this before and I'll say it again: you are without a doubt the best reactor I have ever seen on UA-cam! I mean, you don't even just react, you add so much to these episodes that us South Park fans have probably rewatched hundreds of times and still manage to miss the subtle details and references that you seem to catch! I think you've stumbled upon an incredibly rare and powerful niche in the UA-cam reactor space, and you know that people like me are thrilled that you still have sooooooo many episodes to react and add stuff to. I'm a Korean who lived abroad my entire life, but now living in Korea, and as a lifelong fan of South Park, the differences in culture and sense of humor between the west and the east are such that I find it incredibly hard to explain my favorite South Park moments to some of my Korean friends. I think for me personally, you fill my desire to share one of my all time favorite adult cartoons with people I know. So keep on reacting Dash, and again, have a Merry Christmas, and hopefully you keep this up for next year! Cheers!
i thought south koreans had a similar sense of humour when i watched "Aachi & Ssipak" (아치와 씨팍) back in 2006. A worthwhile adult animated film to check out
@@billiambillionaire2813 Lol I've never heard of this movie! I'd have to ask my Korean friends about if they've heard of it. Generally though, South Park style adult humor, or even stuff like Rick and Morty, Ricky Gervais, Bill Burr, isn't widely accepted in Korea because it's a relatively conservative country where taboo topics are treated seriously and not considered funny. Like, I wouldn't be able to joke about abortion without coming off like a complete lunatic in most cases, for example.

South Park always gets so many details right, and I’m always surprised about Mary’s husband being identified as Joseph of Arimathea.
Mary was married to a man named Joseph, but Joseph of Arimathea doesn’t show up in the Gospels until the crucifixion story. They were two different men.
J of A donates the tomb to hold Jesus’ body as He’s hurriedly taken down from the cross so that He won’t be left up there during the sabbath.
That’s the sort of detail they usually get right, but it got past them this time.

This was the episode that hooked me on Southpark. I RAN OUT & started buying the stuffed collectibles ( including a Mr. Hankey w/a Santa hat ). And the songs were clever too. I THINK mR. hanky showed up in 2 more episodes.

I remember when I still had broadcast tv channels FOX were pushing all this war on christmas stuff. At the same time my iraqi friend was showing me how the mayor of Baghdad was busy building the biggest christmas tree in the world.
In the original episode, the philip glass music had someone chanting "happy happy happy, everybody's happy" in a deep voice, but for some reason they dropped it in the remaster.

4:48 So this is most likely before Starbucks gave those little green stopper things to put in coffee. Because I will admit, it is annoying to drive with coffee in the cup holder as stuff can spill out of that little hole on the lid, even when the lid is on. I’ve gotten many a stain on my seats that way.
Pro tip. Order a medium size potion but ask them to put it in a large cup.
Or dump some of the coffee out in the parking lot. That's what I do.

South park did a whole Christmas album/episode with various characters singing. Like Mr Mackey singing Carol of the Bells, but with his Mkay inserted. And an extended version of the Mr Hankey song, and Carman's O Holy Night :-)

@@dash.reactsThere is an episode where they made little musical segments for most of the songs on the album. It's one of the final episodes of Season 3.
If I remember right, the album was recorded during down time sessions during the development of Bigger Longer and Uncut. It is actually not the first South Park album as there's also Chef Aid which ties into an episode from Season 2 which I also recommend.
However both the episode and album is sadly marked by tragedy as it features the final audio recordings of previous lead voice actress Mary Kay Bergman prior to her death. The episode has a tiny tribute to her during the final music segment which always stood out to me as a child watching but it wasn't until I was older that I learned about that moment.
The album is available on Spotify so it isn't too hard to track down. However due to the many artists featuring on Chef Aid and the rights issues involved, that one is a little trickier to find but should be on UA-cam
Not sure if they're still included these days but the home releases of the first few seasons had a live action skit before every episode. Some of them were pretty wild
I bought the season 1-5 on BluRay and they are still there.

Also, I do remember having an imaginary friend as a child called Viktor; I was very lonely as a kid so I guess he was kind of a coping mechanism. I kept on having Viktor by my side at all times until I was in what you may refer to as middle school and I started getting real friends
My city is BIG on Christmas and Hanukkah. No one has ever complained about the Menorah on the same street area with a huge tree for Christmas. Also, we have a large Hispanic population, so we also have decorations for Dia De Los Muertos with Halloween, and 3 Kings Day after Christmas.

I've always really liked Kyle's song in this episode. "Showcasing that musical talent" is spot on. That song was my moment of "damn these South Park dudes are more than just toilet humor comedy. They are good at music." Tune-wise, it's great and lyrically it tugs at the heartstrings.
