First time watcher from UK and sadly the more I see reviews of this figure the less impressed I become. The size of the upper torso in both mode is a tad too blocky and large for my taste and even after the very strange size choice of the Earthrise mould trailer it looks like they still haven’t got it right, it’s still a tad too small compared to the cab. In saying that it looks like the core figure could be Leader class which just throws out everything else in the CHUG range, so if they could have kept the core bot scale to Voyager he would be have been darn near perfect, I mean KBB managed it with MP10V so it is possible. Now I know Hasbro distribution policies cause all sorts of issues in both the US and UK and as nations we see different figures and have different gripes but my opinions are kind of moot as unless you’re one of the elite collectors here in the UK you’re not going to see this figure. Yes he’s supposedly main line and yes he was listed on Hasbro Pulse UK and he’s listed on the only UK chain store for toys in the UK called Smyths but unless you pre ordered him well in advance your not getting one, he certainly won’t have stock on shelves ever and as I say unless you pre order with Pulse or a number of on line independent retailers here in the UK (whose prices will be above standard retail) then we have to look at US or Japanese retailers which with additional shipping fees and import taxes make this an even more expensive figure, now those collectors in the UK that do get their hands on one are a mix of UA-cam reviewers or big wigs in the fandom from the many Reddit or Facebook groups and of course the scalpers who buy multiples and sell them immediately on eBay for over inflated prices. As of now (New years eve) the only place I see it listed in stock is AliExpress. Go figure!!!. To be fair this is very similar across the board with many official main line figures, if you’re a casual buyer with funds available at limited times and can’t pre order or constantly scan Pulse or other outlets you have no chance. Example, here in the UK we’ve ever had on the shelf releases for SS Bumblebee Prime, ROTB Prime or Primal, I managed to pre order SS86 Bumblebee only to have it cancelled due to no stock 2 days before release and again never seen any physical stock on shelves despite people claiming there was and I live in a city/urban area where supply and variation isn’t an issue, it sucks man, anyway thanks for reading if you do and hope you enjoy the figure. I have Siege and Earthrise figures for my Chug collection and TE01 for my masterpiece, just need to get a trailer 😊
Hey thanks for the comment! You might have more to say about Optimus than I did! I think if you had him in hand you'd probably feel differently, but we all have to make justifications for our collections!
This looks absolutely amazing!
It is. It really is.
Don't forget to fold the 2 panels on the lower back in robot mode.
Yes. Already fixed! Thanks for watching!
If i do get this i wont display it with other characters and let earthrise version do that as it scales better
I agree!
