I've worked with John via Skype. I recommend doing so. John has great insight and experience on so many aspects of creating a role, script analysis etc. and I am sure that with John's help you will find more than the answers you were looking for in your quest to give the best performance you can.

I am trusting the unquestionable force of fate and I just want to say thank you for your guidance. As a trainee theatre director this advice is invaluable…..enables me to also improve my work when working and observing as an AD…many thanks….I am aiming higher when watching your videos!
I find the most difficult part of Directing is Casting: finding actors who know how to 'do' it,,and have something inside them - however small - which is like the part! Then everything can be fun and easy. And if not then to what they CAN do. John.
@@NewYorkActingCoach John so sorry so late in reply. I was AD over the summer on Antigone, hard work and I learnt so much. Still feeling a bit overwhelmed by the responsibility but taking your advice. I find the most creative part for me is a sense of exploration of character with a beginning idea of where to start but observing and learning from what the actors might offer….hope you are well over there across the pond!
