    I've had the large cordless Ryobi for years.Recently purchased the Dremel mini-glue gun. Heats up incredibly fast and has an even smaller footprint than the Ryobi mini.

    I have the original. It is perfect for dent pulling. I used to have to unplug the gun to go to the car. Now, I just work at the car and the high temp is great for the stronger holding sticks.

    I've never seen anything like it with the docking heat station and the super small handy cordless. That is trick as hell. And you could use with a battery adapter to say Milwaukee if you didn't have any Ryobi batteries and because it's all at the remote base station it wouldn't even need annoying with the adapter! Badass!

Surprisingly both fixes are still holding up. I was wrong for thinking glue guns are for arts and crafts only 🤣

    Haha, I bought the little mini one after eyeballing is for maybe a day. I really mostly use Ridgid through so it's on a Badaptor battery adapter which works great. Super handy I must say since I don't need to shuffle around and find an outlet.

      As long as it's flat, I think it will work. Now that Ryobi is on their third version of cordless glue gun, you'd think other tool brands would figure out they need to make them too!

      yes, other tool brands should make cool tools like this one, but, what is worrying is the price, maybe Milwaukee would put out M12 glue gun for $99 bare tool, and for M18 like $149 something! Lol

  • @7628739
    @7628739 2 роки тому +1

    Issue is the larger 305 gets way to hot, you end up turning off the 305 repeated times i use it for tracking low voltage wires, not sure what you. Need all of the heat for. But the smaller one would be good for about 90 percent of the jobs you have. If you need a true professional heat manager glue gun for making boxes or atta hments , buy the 3m gun but it is about 450 dollars

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  2 роки тому

      Yeah, the P305 can get a little hot. If I'm just tacking something temporarily, I often get it up to temp and just turn it off. If you do that kind of thing often, the new dual temp gun might be better.

    Hi Bud, just a quick question after watching this great review I have recently purchased the compact mini glue guns , I would to ask you a question , once finished using the hot glue does the unit need to be cleaned from tip of the gun where the glue is dispersed especially? Or do you simply leave it after pulling the trigger ,
    Also how long does yours take to heat up on the base station ? Thank you so much 👍👍

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  2 роки тому +2

      You don't need to clean after use. Most I do is pull off any residual on the tip after the gun has cooled. Heat up time is pretty fast - I probably timed it in the video but I don't remember off the top of my head.

    For the P305, do you have to have that big battery attached in order to use it, or is it just charging the glue gun?

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  3 роки тому +1

      The P305 needs a battery attached to run. However, you can use a slim pack like the 2Ah, which is a lot lighter.

    Would be nice if they fit a small battery in it just to keep it heated up

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  Рік тому

      I'm sure they considered that design option. But then you'd be limited by charge/discharge rate of that small battery. After extended use you'd eventually reach the point where the small internal battery was completely drained because its charging rate is too slow, then you'd have to stop working and wait for it to recharge.
      The way they actually decided on is better since you can work indefinitely long if you have just two 18V batteries and a rapid charger.

    • @JamesWakley
      @JamesWakley 2 місяці тому

      @@DoresoomReviews I think he meant to have a small battery inside the handle to keep the temp up while applying glue, and keep putting it back in the holder between trigger pressing as intended. That way it acts like a buffer to keep the heat more stable - tho not having used it maybe that's a moot point.

    • @RovexHD
      @RovexHD Місяць тому

      I think for crafts, you mostly wouldn't need constant gluing. It's easy to pop it back on the charger now and again to keep it heated.

    • @DoresoomReviews
      @DoresoomReviews  Рік тому

      I've never had a glue gun clog. Does heating it up not allow you to clear out the glue inside it? You may want to check and make sure the glue gun is positioned on the base properly with the red light on. If it still won't heat up and unclog, then it may be defective.
