- I found this Oak off cut in our lumber storage and thought it would make a great platter and it had a big crack in it but instead of filling it with epoxy I made some Ash inlays. Some of the inlays doesn't fit perfectly so there is some gaps but overall I think it turned out pretty good

Beautiful Design.... Masterful Execution.... Fantastic Outcome....
Thank you very much!!
Beautiful, creative, masterful, as always. I hope someone can translate this for you. I follow many wood turners and you are one of the best, possibly the best. The others have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. The only difference is they have commentary or narration in English for a much wider audience. Perhaps you could find someone to help with that. Maybe even another UA-cam channel in Sweden. I think that you could have a million subscribers if the UA-cam computer system recommended you to more viewers. I am one of your subscribers and am always glad to see a new video. This time I was viewer #133. All the best for the new year from Tacoma Washington, USA.
Thank you very much Steve!! The reason that I don’t have commentary on my videos is because I personally don’t enjoy those videos and I want to make videos that I enjoy watching. Happy new year
@@EliasKlingvall That's a fair point, but remember many of your viewers are not only looking for ideas but instruction on HOW to do something. As a compromise, perhaps limited commentary on particularly complex points, or written type overlays. For instance, indicate how you decided the proper bend angles for shaping the ash inlays (presumably to match the bend of the circle). Some less experienced viewers could benefit from that.
At any rate, this project was AWESOME.
Отличная работа!
Very beautiful!
Thank you Carol!! Happy new year

Thank you very much Peter!! Happy new year
Maravilha de projeto, parabéns.
The wifi signal is very strong here!!! Very nice!!! I would buy it!!
Where there are the gaps at the ends of inlays, a common trick is to collect saw dust from the same wood piece...find dust...mix a cup of wood glue and the saw dust into a slurry or thick past. When you put the inlays in have that paste applied at the ends or gaps very thick...let it all dry and you sand away as usual...the slurry or paste should try to look just like the wood and Voila! no gaps visible. It's an awesome piece though and nice work!!!
Thank you very much!!
Real cool design, nice,y done!
Thank you Tom!!
Superb!!!
Wow! That is amazing! I love the simplicity of the design yet it is so complex. I will like and subscribe!!!
Thank you very much Samuel!!
Outstanding!!
Thank you Frankie!! Happy new year
Nice work of art! Did you per-finish the edge of the Ash insert first?
Amazing!!
Beautiful platter, would grace any table.👌
From a kitchen point-of-view, rather than a woodworker's take on it; will it not be a bit of a bugger to clean.😬
That Jointer is TeRrIfYiNg @!!@
Speechless! ❤❤❤ It!
Thank you Shawna!! Happy new year
Happy New Year to you Sweetie!
Awesome! Bravo!

Thank you!!
super nice work
Great video. Thanks. Subscribed!
Thank you Jared!!
Awesom 👍💯
WOW! Love this beautiful piece... wonder where you get these ideas from? A Gotland muse of Valkyrie status?
Thank you very much!! I get the ideas from different places in this case it was the big crack in the piece of oak that made me want to do something with it
Sure wish I had had your genius while I was turning.
The more you turn, the more creative they get, you start to run out of ideas and that's when the real creativity comes through!!!
Nice work, but does that design serve any purpose other looking odd?
It would be a awesome coffee table top
Amazing craftsman ship.
Thank you Asif!!
Pretty Good 👍 Does the ash need to be steam(?) treated to keep the bend ? -Mike
Thank you Mike!! Bent laminations hold the bend really well so no need to use steam unless you want to make it out of a solid piece. Happy new year
Amazing 😍 work
Thank you!!
I couldn’t quite read it, what kind of planer was used? Cool piece!
A beautiful work, thank you for share.
But its psychedelic to watch the video :)
It's a beautiful :)
