Yeah - I really wanted to make sure people knew to bring a battery. You wouldn’t be able to do much with it after you bought it without a way to charge it. Thanks for watching!
If you buy it when you get your tickets )which is way cheaper then if you buy in the park or online) it ships to your house. And it comes with a little pamphlet that tells you to charge it fully, update, and pair with your phone before you get to the park. They also print your name on the inside of the band so it is packaged differently
Great tips! i’ve been binge watching your videos all day and love them! Can you do a video about the essentials you bring to the parks in addition to the battery pack? i saw in other videos you have an umbrella and rain coat. Sorry if you already have a video on this topic and i missed it!
Thanks Jessica! We’ve gotten that request before and it’s definitely on our list to cover in a future video. Thanks so much for watching and sharing this suggestion. 😃
I just came across your videos. We will be at the MNSSHP in October. Can you tell me what amperage the MB+ needs to charge at? I am not able to find this online. I am looking at various portable phone chargers with multiple outputs. If I get a portable phone charger I want to ensure it has enough juice to charge the MB+. Thanks.
Hello! Sorry for the delay in responding. We haven’t had an issue with lots of updates. I would say very occasionally in my experience. Of course, it also could be that we don’t check very often. 😂
Should you wait until you get to Disney to get the magic band+ or should you order ahead? I would assume there's more choices there than on the Disney website.
Hello - great question. It depends on whether you have a Disney hotel stay. When you stay at a Disney Hotel, they will email you an offer to get a discounted MagicBand that will be cheaper than you will find when you arrive. Otherwise, I would wait until you can pick one out in person. Thanks for watching! 😃
@Ear Scouts thanks for the heads up. I always like to be prepared before I go somewhere and was going to buy prior but now I'll wait to hear from Boardwalk. Hope to see you in the park to thank you in person for all the tips!
Hi Kyle! There will definitely be new designs by then. That said, some of the limited edition ones will be gone, so grab those now if you really love one of them. Thanks for watching! 😃
Hey Rob, how do you pair a new band for an underage child without a phone? Will it allow you to add it to parents? Thanks in advance, and we love your content.
Hi Samuel! When you open My Disney Experience and go to Magic Bands and More in the main menu, it will show you everyone you can manage MagicBands for. Your child should appear there if they have park tickets, annual passes or a resort stay that is linked to yours. Thanks for watching!
Does the Mickey Mouse image seem like it would scratch off easily? I'm trying to decide which one I want and I'm torn between that and the Grogu one. ^_^ Thanks
Good question - we’ll be doing a full-length video about that soon, but the short answer is that it interacts with things in the park like the 50th Anniversary gold statues and allows you to play games like the Bounty Hunter mission in Galaxy’s Edge. It also does all the normal stuff a MagicBand does (open your hotel room door, replaces your park ticket to get into the park or badge in for Lightning Lanes, etc)
Sorry for the lengthy delay in responding - we were at D23 Expo in Anaheim and it was a crazy week. Here is the current version that is closest to ours. Note that we make a small commission if you buy through this link: amzn.to/3wywQxX Thanks for watching!
Glad you liked it - we are really excited to try out all of the new features over the next few days. Headed to MK tonight to experience Enchantment with it. We’ll do a full video soon all about MagicBands and MagicBand+. Thanks for watching!
Hi Malia! Believe it or not, Disney is just now starting to make MagicBands an option for Disneyland with the new MagicBand plus. It hasn’t started yet though, so right now you actually can’t use a MagicBand there. Thanks for watching. 😃

do you need a magicband to enter the park? because we bought tickets to hollywood studios and my family is wondering what to do so do i need it? and how do u get them aswell
Hello! MagicBands are optional. You can also use a plastic park ticket that they will give you for free or you can set up “Magic Mobile” through the app on your phone. It is a little finicky, but when it works correctly, it allows your smartphone and/or smartwatch to do the same things as a MagicBand. MagicBand Plus (what we show in this video) allows you to interact with the 50th anniversary statues by waving at them and to play a bounty hunter game in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Wow… thanks for the warnings. Disney should probably warn people that all of this set up is required! Appreciate the visuals about how to do this.

That's the one I want. So gorgeous. Thanks for the tips.
Erick picked this one and it looks really great in person. I ordered the Partners statue version and I can’t wait for it to arrive. 😃
I have to say the Magic Band + is just epic
I can't get mine to sync up 😢
All great tips! Thanks!
Thank YOU for watching! 😃
Watch is the magic band for?

Are you able to purchase a magic band at any of the Disney parks?
I wonder if you can use this in HongKong Disney or Japan, etc
How often do I need to update after the initial one? Is it daily? Thanks so much

I never had that. I wish I had it on my birthday.
I like It, I just wish I didn’t always forget to charge it. 😂
We're planning to go in January '24! Do you think there will be new designs released before then? Not sure if I should just wait.

It looks pretty durable to me. I don’t think it would easily come off.
What does it do

What Anker charger is that? I didn't see it in the description.

@@EarScouts appreciate you responding no matter how long it takes. 💜
That was excellent. I've seen a lot of negativity today about the bands. Being prepared is always best.

It’s the parks post COVID everyone’s unhappy.
Do you also need a magic band for Disneyland in California?

How long should I charge it?
Please!
You can get enough charge to use it after about 30 minutes. I think it takes a few hours to go from empty to full.

Can you buy them in Disney Springs? Thanks!
Hello again - you sure can! They have the best selection at Pin Traders near Once Upon a Toy.
@@EarScouts thanks so much! You’ve taken so much of the anxiousness out of this trip for me!
Cool. What is it?
Hi Mauricio! We actually made a whole video answering that question: ua-cam.com/video/W-LGzSeIhrI/v-deo.html
Can you turn off the magicband or does it turn off on its own?
Hi Kirby! The new MagicBand Plus version can be turned off, but I always forget to. 😅 There’s a button on the back.
ohhhhh i thought that button was only there to pair it 😅 is it one press or you have to hold press the button?
@@KirbyEmanuelyou hold the button on the back to turn it off, and you’re good to go my dude 😎
👏👏👏👏
Thank you!
If I have the plastic card , what do I have to do ? Do you need to link them on my disney experience app? Thanks in advance 😊
