Was there last night and it was sooooooo GOOD!! Too bad it was too short a ride. I personally prefer the night ride because the whole outdoor dome is lit up with the electric blue and orange lights. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!!
I love it. I just wish it were a little bit longer.
The launch on this ride is more intense than I thought and I have ridden tons of launch coasters. I think it is due to how you are seated like in a bike so the sensation is different as opposed to the usual sitting.
That's exactly why. When you're watching it from the entrance to the ride it looks like a fast take off but nothing crazy. But when you're actually on the ride... WOW... so awesome!!!

Yea yea cos you're hunched down so you increase the aerodynamics making it feel faster. I LOVE THIS RIDE!!!

I don't know if it's just me, but I've been on this ride several times and I feel like the further back you're seated, the longer and more intense the launch feels. I've been on the front and I don't feel it as intense, unless I've already gotten used to the ride?
Thank you for uploading this!! I can't ride coasters anymore due to a medical condition. Last time I was at the park, my dad got to ride this but I wasn't able to. So now I get to experience it a little bit

I'm sorry to hear about your medical condition. I have a suggestion I would like to offer you.
The Meta Quest 2 & 3 have several differen't VR roller coaster programs and I can tell you, they are about as real as you can get without actually being on one. Put a fan in front of you while in the program and you will enhance the experience.
The Meta 2 has really dropped in price and you can get one for under $200 even at Walmart.
I really hope this is something that can help you once again enjoy coasters.

I see @Steven already said this.. but was going to tell you either on VR or on the PC (Steam) you can find Planet Coaster which has a "ride" mode that is fun to use. Sadly Planet Coaster still doesn't support VR even though its game engine is used by Elite Dangerous another space sim game that does work in VR. But there are a few decent VR coaster options as well.

Outstanding ride! Got on just before 11pm and after doing the entire park…was exhausted….but this ride completely reenergized me! So much so that I had a really hard time falling asleep once getting back to our hotel. Well done Disney! And great job filming this video! Thank you
What I loved was the intensity of the experience- from the sights, sounds, movements and stellar engineering. Came together in one sweet ride.
Such a fun ride. Rode it twice this week, once during the day and once at night. At night, you get a slightly better experience since the structure outside is all lit up. Though if you only have to time to ride it during the day you still get 95% of the awesome experience.
To anyone who gets scared of big roller coasters, just know that theres no stomach drop feeling or whipping motions. Just high exhilarating speed! The harnesses on the cycles also feels super secure (maybe too secure? Your chest feels a bit crushed into the front).
Also the reveal once you get inside is MIND BLOWING. The first time I rode, the screen went transparent right as a group was getting launched. My mouth was agape!
That launch 🚀 is out of this world. Then brings you back to reality like 🤩 👌
now thats a ride i can do. no crazy heights and drops. just a fast ride :)

@@TZ57definitely it isn't bad ,you only really feel the drop when you sitting in the front row but Yikes the suspense there @ the top before it drops it's the worts lol and the drop itself it's inteeeeeense ,iam always out of breath when it drops .The most epic thing about the Tower of terror it's the pictures,the Terror in our faces ,it really lives up to its name 🙌👌🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Next fall, a new Tron movie is coming out! And Jeff Bridges will reprise his role!
I'm sure you know by now Tron Ares starring Jared Leto. Jeff Bridges is in it too, of course. Scheduled release October 2025. Over 42 years after the release of Disney's first science fiction movie.
A new Tron movie is coming out with Nine Inch Nails doing the soundtrack (Daft Punk broke up) that said Trent Reznor, the lead singer on the band actually did the Soul Soundtrack.

@@adrianeelise3849 i don’t believe that their is a difference on open day other than perhaps the atmosphere but I had booked my trip there before the opening day was announced and I simply got very lucky that it coincided with my stay

No one talks about the unexpected floater airtime moments on this ride that are SO good, especially on the first brake run right as you’re headed into the dark. The bike adds another layer to the sensation in a really cool way. worth experiencing at least once if you love rollercoasters!

❤ I rode this in august and the line was insane even after virtual que! Be patient! It’s worth the wait! I’m 58 and requested a seat towards the back cuz motion sickness and I found the ride very comfortable! Seats felt secure and safe! The launch is super fast and iinside part is intense! I didn’t think the ride was that short because it’s intense but I can see the argument that it is. It’s a gorgeous coaster but I was very scared to ride it! Lol
There is no invert on this ride. At all.
My bad I guess it’s like a helix sort of… I thought that was an invert! Sorry!

I edited out the helix part so I won’t confuse anyone… so sorry about that. yes it goes sideways before entering the inside and that gave a tinge of motion 🤢

This ride is amazing! I rode it this past summer with my sister, and it was so much fun! I wish it weren't over before you know it. That's the only problem with this ride. It should've been about 15 or 30 seconds longer. But that's ok, it's still a fun ride!

Sidenote! If you want to ride this you HAVE to schedule yourself in through the Lightening Lane or through the Virtual Que, If you don't you will NOT be getting on this ride. I saw so many people just walking up to the line ready to ride not knowing that they had to schedule themselves in for the Virtual Que, and walking away PISSED because the Virtual Que had already filled up for the day! Also, this ride WILL mess with your back!

And you have buy a reservation on the ride. It's usually about $15 a person if you can even get a reservation. It's absolutely ridiculous!

Back three rows are the best, you have more speed coming out of the brake zones, I work at Tron and can confirm. Sitting up front, you notice the loss of speed everytime you enter a brake zone. And leaving the zone feels slow.
Almost all roller coasters are better in the back row.

Rode this today and don't let the video fool you, the take off is definitely strong and the turns in the dark will get you sick if you are prone to motion sickness. I will say though that the ride was smooth but videos definitely don't do it justice.

Is this good for a beginner that has never gone on roller coasters and tends to get motion sickness?
I would say yes. You do not get any stomach drop feeling like you'd get on a more traditional coaster. Just pure speed. My girlfriend gets queasy very easily from thrill rides, but she still rode it twice and had fun. Her first time she felt a little queasy afterward due to the nerves, but second run was much more enjoyable for her.
If you want something even more tame to start, you can try riding Slinky Dog Dash at Hollywood Studios. It's more family friendly, but great fun nonetheless. That will give you a basic feel for launch coasters.
So I technically rode it just a couple of hours ago, but admittedly, I closed my eyes for the whole thing. I think I passed out too. I’m not a thrill seeker and my husband talked me into getting on, swearing it doesn’t feel like a rollercoaster. My nine year old has gone on three times now. She loves it and was pissed that I closed my eyes the entire time. I came on here and I’ve watched what I missed. Does it count? 😅
How Scary was this ?? I am not a roller coaster person at all and Hagrids motorbike made me cry lol i dont want to get on freak out and not be able to get off lol
@@jennifercardinal9654 I'm probably too late, but I'll just add that if you've done Hagrids then you can definitely take on Tron. The initial launch is faster, but it's way smoother. Hagrids is much jerkier by design to simulate the magical motorbike feeling. There's also no reversing or drops like on Hagrids.
I live in Orlando and I have the annual pass since 2013. I’m still thinking in ride this😬, my stomach is very sensitive and I use to throw up every time I go on rides like that, so probably I will not try it 😬
Me too and I’m 59 but rode this in august this year and it wasn’t nearly as scary as it looks. I sat in the back and kept my head down during the launch! The seats are super comfy and the ride is short and smooth.❤ hope that helps in case you decide to ride! The invert after the launch was a lil woozy but not too bad.

I tried it, thinking I'd be ok after watching videos. It looks reasonably tame in all these videos and even when you're outside watching the cars come outside.
Lies. The only thing I can agree is that this is the smoothest ride I've ever been on, but that launch messed me up for a couple hours afterwards and it doesn't let up until the very end when it's done. 0-60mph in 2 seconds intense.
Just saying. Try it if you want the experience for yourself, but don't be fooled by these videos.
