She had been making the sound for a couple days. I was leading her with phrases that would warrant an appropriate "I know" response because it was cute and gave me a giggle. She wasn't actually responding with words. It's been her go-to sound lately. That being said, she's been super chatty recently making all kinds of sounds when she gets excited. There's a vlog coming up where she's especially vocal.

I am having issues with my mail too! I ordered from Shutterfly a phone case and USPS lost it. Our mail people at the post office are rude. I think they are worse then the DMV people.
I’m a new subscriber. Everyone is so supportive of Abbie and pushes her where she needs it. Despite Abbie’s ‘tantrums’ she did amazing at Walmart and at the post office. I work with teens & adults with autism and really you all are doing such a great job with Abbie!! Go Abbie!!
It’s been awhile since I’ve watched your videos but I found you again and remembered how much I love these videos! Also I really love how you guys gave Abbie a moment before going to send mail and made sure she was okay to do that. It’s hard to know when kids (specifically with special needs) are able to complete a task or if they really just can’t at that moment. You do so well understanding her and I can really see her improvement in communication and understanding because of that.

I feel ya Priscilla with the obsessing. Last summer, mine was like that with his boat. Now it’s his motorcycle. I haven’t gone 1 Day this week without hearing the words “ my motorcycle “ 🙄🤯 He doesn’t have a license yet, and is scared to ride it. Yesterday he said “ I can do 45, I don’t mind going slow, but going fast scares me” I replied “ Yeah, because people get motorcycles to go slow” 😆 He got so mad, haha haha!
I just need to say, being a sibling with a family member who requires extreme amounts of compassion, care and patience demands sooooo much more maturity and responsibility as that sibling. This demand can cause the sibling to respond negatively by acting out or respond positively by stepping it up and rising to the responsibility. ISAIAH, you sir STEP UP TO THE PLATE! What an amazing example of ability far beyond your age. I love the way you play and tease her back in a typical sibling relationship but also become the care taker when necessary. Your entire family doesn't just show up for the game, you play hard and give all as a team and it's truly inspiring to many.
I think Abbie just didn’t want to do the work and she knows that if she cries you (most likely) won’t make her do it lol but that attempt failed Abbie! Gotta work harder sweetie! Manipulate them more! 🤣 I’m kidding of course. I think she just wasn’t feeling good and was tired. But pushing her to do it anyway is the best for her in the long run. Your mail lady must know our mailman. He will not get out of his mail truck unless you literally show him your home and watching him. I watched him literally stand at the back of his truck debate wether or not he should deliver the package that was too big to shove in the box , i could see if i had tons of steps but i dont have any at all. he is the worst, and than the holidays come which i get the fustration there holiday rush and all that but dang guy get your stuff together. Though of recent times they switched out the mailman for a mail lady who rushes the street *so basically we got speed racer for a replacement. 😔

Awesome honesty. I love it. One advantage big guy and grandma had when Kaidale came along was vast experience and we were young enough still to help. First time parents and dealing with autism is a load. I love your channel so much I gotta comment but please don't feel like you have to respond. Last thing you need is any more pressure. Really I think Abby might just like his hair down. That's another thing too Isiah hanging like he does is a load on a kid but he's going to be so far ahead in life and he knows he's loved and valued.
My roommate and I sous vide and love it! It's like that old commercial set it and forget it. Plus it keeps food hot and ready for a couple of hours so we can eat at different times but only have one easy prep.
Every child is soooo different and every child on the spectrum is even more different. You just try to follow your gut and what you’ve learned through therapy and love them through life. Y’all are hella amazing!

I don’t know if this would work for Abbie or if you have tried it, but an old camp trick that I use all the time to stop crying is to make campers drink water. For some reason, people can’t cry while they drink, and it forces deeper breathing! I have never had it not work 😊
Oh my goodness Asa, I feel your pain with the mail lady situation. My mail lady will dump my packages on the porch step, rain or shine 🤦🏻♀️. If she sees someone outside as she’s coming up our road, she lays on the horn to let them know she’s coming trying to get them to freeze until she gets there....she has even given my packages to my neighbors if they had packages as well, and tell them to give it to me for her.....😡

Every time I see y’all taking Abs to school and pass the apartments by the Drs office(right before her school) or when I pass them going to a Drs visit, I think about how perfect it would be if JSA could purchase those apartments and use them for assisted residential living for adult age students....the location is perfect and they are currently remodeling them.....so maybe one day!
This may have been a bit of a hard day but it seemed like Abbie’s receptive listening was really on point. She immediately followed a lot of commands that day on the first request! “Say thank you” “blow a kiss” “hold this.” Nice work guys! Also the part at the end with the bikes made me literally lol, we do that kind of stuff all the time in my family. 😂
I have an issue with my mail carrier too. Sooooo annoying! Today I actually almost broke the key to my mailbox due to some boxes shoved in there however there was also a notice that a package needed to be picked up from P.O! First of all, they could've left it on my porch. Second, if he's gonna make me drive across town to pickup one package then why shove the others in there to the point I had difficulty unlocking the box! Uggghhh this was just today. It's constant nonsense

Every time I see y’all taking Abs to school and pass the apartments by the Drs office(right before her school) or when I pass them going to a Drs visit, I think about how perfect it would be if JSA could purchase those apartments and use them for assisted residential living for adult age students....the location is perfect and they are currently remodeling them.....so maybe one day!
This may have been a bit of a hard day but it seemed like Abbie’s receptive listening was really on point. She immediately followed a lot of commands that day on the first request! “Say thank you” “blow a kiss” “hold this.” Nice work guys!
Also the part at the end with the bikes made me literally lol, we do that kind of stuff all the time in my family. 😂

I have an issue with my mail carrier too. Sooooo annoying! Today I actually almost broke the key to my mailbox due to some boxes shoved in there however there was also a notice that a package needed to be picked up from P.O! First of all, they could've left it on my porch. Second, if he's gonna make me drive across town to pickup one package then why shove the others in there to the point I had difficulty unlocking the box! Uggghhh this was just today. It's constant nonsense
