[MINOR SPOLERS]: This was essentially what I did for the Gibdo fight in Gerudo town. At first I was really excited to set up turrets at the three entrances before the battle started... then I learned that the game decided to de-spawn all zonai devices I laid down once I initiated the battle -_- ISTG this game sometimes...
With how much they mentioned preparation you’d imagine that would be an option 🤦🏻♂️ I wonder if you auto-built some turrets or homing cart units once it began if they’d despawn when you went to other points on the map during that event.
Yes i tried the same thing and it's really annoying. The reason the contraptions despawned is not because you initiated the battle, but because you were too far away from them. I know this is an exploit, but attaching dragon parts to your devices greatly extends the maximum distance between them and Link before despawning
@@tylernorman8745 I assume it works because normally when you shoot a dragon, its scale/horn/fang covers some horizontal distance before landing. It makes sense why they increased the max distance for these items in particular. Also, they have a property of glowing when you're not near them to let you know where they are, which can make it easier to spot your vehicle from afar
The editing in this video 😭😭😭 masterful. I am not the best at building with Zonai stuff so I sort of forget it, and now I’m inspired to think outside the box.
@@DaveNodon im on the 4th major area, i have all the tear memories, did all the stable quests, full 3 stamina wheels and like 22 hearts, and still only 1 homing cart i found in a chest somewhere lol
YES! THANK YOU! I haven't played TotK yet, since I haven't beaten BotW yet (I got distracted by other games), but I've seen plenty of videos! I'm 2000% eager to build my own army once I get around to playing TotK, so this video really helps.
Man using logical energy efficient builds to take out enemies. Me, burning through resources because I put 3 heads on a stabilizer attached to a homing cart, and then applied 16 beam emitters distributed across the heads, fusion limit reached, but also, it can kill a flux construct III in under 8 seconds, so there's that. Nice video though, it's good to know that it is possible to win with constructs that don't cost 63 Zonaite to make, lol
@DaveNodon there's a fairly large deposit in the spirit temple, Yunobo breaks rocks relatively quickly without burning resources, Frox's (including the mini ones) are probably the most fun way. The other factor is that I don't use it super frequently if it can be helped. Use a mix of capsules Zonaite in your autobuilds to cut down on costs when possible. Figure out your favorite Zonai capsule drops and try to find a Zonai gumball machine (forgot what they're called) that gives you your favorites so you don't waste as many resources on things you're less likely to use (it shows their drops on the map) Also, when acquiring crystallized charges, don't buy them unless you have large Zonaite and get large crystallized charges, some bosses in the depths will drop them, it's slower progression, but large Zonaite doesn't work on autobuild, so that's your abandoned mine currency, normal Zonaite should be saved for autobuilds, and autobuilds should be saved for special occasions I suppose the secret is just being a horder in the depths
Thank you I have been wondering how about how to use smaller units like these because every video I see it’s just some giant tank thanks for the help because I was clueless before this video.
There's nothing worse than betting a lynor boss monster and/or kies sworm and then a blood moon happens and then it's round 2 (thank goodness blood moons don't reset monster heath because I was fighting a white lynor and then boom blood moon and I should really stop saying that)
Great video! i was wondering if you could make a game builder garage tutorial for botw/totk style sprinting, where you have to use stamina and when it runs out you can no longer sprint and go a little slower.

Finally someone else noticed that the homing cart is literally the real bonbchus from Majoras Mask down to the teeth
Right?!
The what from major's mask? Sorry the only zelda games I've really played is botw and totk

I still need to find a gumball machine that gives me homing carts lol
I take them for granted because i feel like I’ve always had them 😆 I think the easiest is the gimbal machine on the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago
