No they are NOT underrated (this word is far too overused and frankly needs to be ditched and torn from the music dictionary! It also annoys me when people say the Cult are underrated! The most underrated rock band in history. I will never understand why The Cult didn't get as huge as Guns or AC/DC... pure rock in it's best definition. Countless times I have put their songs in parties and there's always the "I love that song!, who plays it!" comment... sigh.

When I got my hands on the cassette around 1992, it gave me goose pimples and I never thought I'd get tired of it. It was like I had it flowing in my blood stream. It was like a drug I needed every day.

Unfortunately, this was about the only song that resembled the sound of Sonic Temple album.Ceremony was not a good album to follow up their biggest selling album. They could have been huge for a while, but this album killed it for them. This song however, is excellent and the band look and sound in top form.
LEGENDARY..I agree with what dragonfly said. This band defined my college experience, and that was when U2 was on MTV every 6 minutes. Ian Astbury's voice and swagger has only been matched by a few (Plant, Daltrey, Morrison, etc.), and Billy Duffy could shred with the best ever. I NEVER get tired of listening to their music, it plays as well today as it did in the late '80s and early/mid '90s. Wild hearted boys, the Sun King rules..
@@MochaMela The perks of living in one of the few cities The Cult finds worthy of for a tour. They do not come to Columbus Ohio. And the one time they did I simply couldn't go.

In some ways he's the most underrated lead singer (frontman) in the history of rock. This guy is a bad ass boss.
@mike f the band in general is highly underrated. Ian’s such a great vocalist and lyricist, Duffy kills on guitar, Jamie stewart kicking ass on bass, plus Les Warner AND Matt sorum on drums? Get outta town...
We saw them in Brisbane in November 2024, still amazing . Love the Cult ,listening since 1987
still sounds good 2024 gives me hope
I was born well after this song came out and didn't discover it until high school, but it is my favorite, hands down.
Oh, my... I think I 've been resuscitated. Good music never dies.
Just saw them play the entire Sonic Temple album. Epic.
TheStones1965- Is that true? Would love it if they played the entire Ceremony album!🔥🥰🙏💯
Jaykee the Wolf: we have seen them not once, but twice at House of Blues, Houston, Texas.
Luis: Long Live Rock & Roll! Amazing!!
@@MochaMela The perks of living in one of the few cities The Cult finds worthy of for a tour. They do not come to Columbus Ohio. And the one time they did I simply couldn't go.
OMG one of my absolute favs since the first time I heard Ian in….1988? No idea. Legendary! EXCELLENT in concert!!!
I have only 3 words - Awesome, awesome, awesome.
Loved 'em then, loving them still TTD 😊
What a handsome man!!! It makes me fall in love
I don't believe there is a Cult video I don't like, but this one is my favorite. Those moves are awe-inspiring!
Saw them in concert at Orlando's House of Blues for the Electric 13, great time!
beautiful man
Lord. Ian's stage presence is INTOXICATING . . . AND THAT VOICE❣️ IF HE AND DANZIG COLLABORATED . . . I WOULD BE IN ROCK HEAVEN . . . 🔥🔥🔥 DANCE INSPIRING!!!
Come back to Argentina, thank you eternally for continuing...
Just saw the Cult Dec. 2019. One of my all time favorite bands. And one of the best shows of them I've seen recently.'They were great. Ian's voice was excellent and can still move not like the old days but who can. Billy was awesome. They will be coming back to the east coast in 2020. Make sure to see them if you can.
Stacy Lindsey- It’s encouraging that you say Ian’s voice was great because I’ve played a video of a recent performance (past year or two), and his voice was absolutely shot.
@@bradss1000 I saw them a couple of years ago in New Haven at The college music Hall. He sounded good then but much better at the Capital theater. Can't wait to see them again when they come around. Happy to know there's still a lot of Cult fans
Wild hearted son
Baby, the world didn't want me to run
To try and break me down to my knees, yeah
Wild hearted, yeah yeah
Yeah
Well now
You know, I shoot from the hip now
My fist raised in the air
I'm a whirlwind dreamer, baby
With my head high in the clouds, yeah
Ow, don't take me too lightly
I got the blues power, baby
I'm just a breed of society
I'm pushin' hard and stealin' free
Don't you try to lay no trip on me, yeah
I'm a wild hearted son
I'm comin' down like a rolling stone
Wild hearted son, yeah
I'm a wild hearted son
Hey mama, the world didn't want me to run
Wild hearted son
Ow, I was born to the city
But I longed to roam free
Got a screaming horse in my belly
Scar on my heart
I live outside of convention
You know the people who stare
I'm just a breed of society
I'm pushin' hard and I'm stealin' free
Don't try to lay no trip on me, whoa
'Cause I'm a wild hearted son
I'm comin' down like a rolling stone, yeah
Wild hearted son
I'm a wild hearted son
Lil' honey, the world didn't want me to run, yeah
Wild hearted son
Baby, baby, yeah yeah
Wild hearted son, yeah
The world didn't want me to run
Try to break me down, down down down down
I'm a wild hearted son
I'm comin' down like a rolling stone, oh yeah
Wild hearted son
I'm a wild hearted son
Lil' honey, the world didn't want me to run
Wild hearted son, son, baby, yeah
Oh oh
