YES
Can't wait!!
@@just_some_internet_guy it's already out bro lol
This is the single biggest power bump I’ve seen for a facelift. They literally added more than 150hp, hella impressive
656 hp rwd is pretty much unusable
@@Tomoyo0827yah, say that to McLarens
As someone who likes to rev out a car on the road I'm disappointed by that.
@@Tomoyo0827 Mclaren and Ferrari are able to put down even more power than that
New Taycan Turbo S got 188bhp lol
Regardless of how it drives, it's absolutely gorgeous. Finally an Aston with the right proportions that looks great from every angle. In my opinion the best looking Aston since the 2004 DB9
I love the One-77 styling cues ❤
what like pool? cheeky mon key
@@michaelfraser5723what are you even talking about? 😁😁😁
I swear Aston’s are truly the prettiest cars in the world just glorious ❤
Finally some decent interior design, decent real buttons to press, seats are nice too👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Excited for last gen to be 60k
Will you pick one up?
Hope so!
@@briang.3442 That would be awesome! Good luck mate!
First time I've been surprised by a power bump in a while. At 15k less than a Porsche 911 turbo s somehow Aston have made something that's "good value for money" 😂
I'm a life-long diehard Porsche nut, but man - if you have the cash for a hyper fast GT daily driver, this car sure pushes all the buttons. The Porsche turbo is a premium, superfast and reliable ride, but it wouldn't even get noticed parked alongside this beauty.
@@993mike The Aston is likely to be less reliable, and surely will depreciate at a much higher rate. In its favor, you can likely walk into an Aston dealership and order one right away, instead of playing the Porsche dealership games.
@@stanlee3619 if you have a lot of money than you don't care about it
@@stefanomantese2341 If you have more money than sense, yes.
Until you go to trade it 😂
Love it. I'll be getting one. Thank god they didn't go hybrid. Loved my last Vantage
“Compact tension” is a great way to describe it. I like it.
Sweet mama joe. A thing of beauty.
Jethro = legend! One of the best automotive journalist of all time. This video is a perfect example.
compared to previous Vantage this is a Huge improvement!!! need to see the weight specs
Check out Harry’s Garage …..it’s 1600kg dry, 👍
One of the best looking Astons I've ever seen. If a manual does come , then for me it's then a very special car indeed.
Always love it when Jethro does his take on any vehicle.
Cheers mate! Merci! 👍💪✌
Beautiful spec on this one. Be nice to see it do well.
Great work,JB! I loving this AMR Vantage. ❤️😉
Finally an Aston is buyable now the interior has been modernised. Beautiful
Should have put a manual transmission option in it since it’s clearly not all about the stats which I appreciate as stat sheets are overrated. Make a drivers car out of the Vantage. Jethro is hilarious with 500% quote.
I think they're rationalising about using an auto gearbox - developing a twin clutch gearbox would cost too much given the numbers.
Stunning!!! Well done Aston!🤩🤩🤩
Jethro was talking about technical stuff but I wasn't listening, because that green paint is so gorgeous. I'll take mine with bronze-coloured wheels like some of the DB12 press cars / publicity photos.
Previous gen was good looking if you managed to avoid fish lips spec.
This is about perfect, digital violet or storm purple please🙏
It jumped out at me that Aston pined for a bespoke tyre programme on this, yet Gordon Murray specified off-the-rack tyres for the T.50 so owners aren’t lumped with massive bills or unobtainable rubber. I think Gordon’s got the right idea there.
He has the right idea full stop. Manual only, too😉
Serious looking motor!!! Aston smashed it with this. Upped their game.
well done! - perhaps in the future, you will attend to the difference in volume between studio mic and with car mic.
Beautiful car and it's slick with performance etc
Marek slapped the DBS when he took over from the DB9 team, but has been in the shadows since then. With the DB12 and Vantage, he has really announced his legacy at Aston. Both cars are going to age well and WILL be classics in the future.
Shame about the engineering decision to drop the manual though. The new vantage with a manual gearbox would have been THE perfect car.
0:45 That's savage lol 😲
SWEET ride! Well done Aston!
Looks gorgeous they really step it up ❤
What a beautiful car. And they focused on driving enjoyment thumbs up from me!
Nice to see Aston being able to take the fight to Porsche and Ferrari! And good to have Jethro back at evo!
Hello? Ferrari? Hi, yeah, about my deposit in the Roma....
What is the curb weight? It's cool that they improve everything but it doesn't sound like weight improvement (I mean weight loss)
Amazing looks like the one 77 👌
Gorgeous car love it. Not convinced about the continued choice or reason for it of auto box over DCT though. Plenty of high powered high torque cars running DCT, Ferrari Roma, 296, SF99, Acura/NSX, Lamborghini Reveulto, Mercedes AMG GT etc. Don’t think its anything to do with power, toque or character more to do with cost.
Do away with it all together. Manual only please - like the GMA T.50
I wish the voiceover volume level better matched the rest of the video.
Stunning colour
Whats the difference between this model and DB12?
Kinda wish they went all in on the mid engine layout
Nup. It might be the best format for ultimate performance, but it’s not Aston’s thing - most of their cars have been front engined. Like 911’s are always rear engined - I also like the aesthetic of a long nose - mid engined cars always look awkward to me, and don’t excite me at all.
Aston has something that elevates it above ALL others,.....Bond, James Bond!
They’re not always the best, but they are always one of the prettiest….
Hello, what colors this car?
One of my favorite things with a new car launch is to hear the designers talk about the details and the decisions they made. Would have love to have heard that designer crap on. Or did you say crack on?
Looks similar to the current Toyota Supra to me in shape.
What an absolute beast!
We want a Turbo S vs Vantage soon
Everything on this facelift is great but it needed a buttlift as well. The rear bumper design is the same and well, the rear is just as important as the front because it’s what most drivers will be seeing. Maybe it’s just me but it seems to not flow with the rest of the car.
Must admit I was distracted by him dropping his Ts. Aston Mar-in?
M177 engine always had more power except Aston couldn't bump up the power before due to their agreement with AMG. It is only because an adjustment of AMG partnership that allowed them to tune it in house. The face lift on the other hand is trying too hard to build in the one-77 design element which the original vantage was not built for. The original Vantage based off the DB10 which is so much sleeker... It looks more nose heavy... Not to mention the lack of a manual makes this car fairly quick to become obsolete which is commensurate with the depreciation of AM cars right now...
Shoes to match Jethro👍
Beauty 😮
While I think it's the best FR configuration car in the world, the amount of computer assistance is a bit of a turn off. If there's a button to shut off EVERYTHING that's an assistance off, I'd rather have that and would likely drive it like that most of the time. Real feel of man and machine....don't kill that.
Probably the sexiest car ever built
There is a thing in common between Porsche and Aston - they both release the same cars with slight alterations for ages!
590ft lbs is massive! That must truly haul a$$!
It's a cute little beast
That's a lot of car for the price compared to some brands, and it looks better than 95% of ALL sports and hyper cars, the biggest change for me is the interior, the extra power could always be added with a tune and other mods but you almost had to keep that old dated 2nd class dash and infotainment. I would take it over the equivalent Porsche anyday, the Porsche is a master piece but you see so many about nowadays, I'm just wondering how close to the £200,000 you need to get with extras, upgrades and add ons in the car configurator to get one that looks this good?? I'm sure this version here isn't base...
Aston has always looked better than the Porsche but paying customers go with Porsche. Porsche builds great drivers cars that are dependable.
McLaren should take some learnings from this. - This is a heavy facelift, exterior and interior. It obviously resembles the car it replaces but the changes are there and evident. What have McLaren done with the 750S, it looks almost identical to the 720S 😂
Plus agressive, plus puissante, plus moderne, la Vantage est une vraie alternative à la Porsche 911.
It’s a beautiful car
Aston should really look into F1 team for more. I hope this will be enough to fight refreshed 911 Turbo (when it comes out), and carry own weight. Ferrari and McLaren already gone hybrid, Porsche about too, hopefully Aston can keep up.
i really hope they DONT go hybrid !
@@jase6370 When Mercedes own a chunk of Aston and use their Engines and tech its only a matter of time
Aston Martin/ most people need to change the way the view/promote the Vantage. It is no longer an entry car, it is the Sports version against the DB12 which is GT version. Yes, it might cost less, but it has a different vision and cost is cost.
It looks great, the idea sounds great, but I agree, I will only buy one with a manual. You are cutting out a whole market and customer base.
Just wish they hadn’t changed the headlights.
I will buy it as my first car. Done
Nice car, shame it looks like they have nicked the headlights out of a Ford Puma
My god is this a stunner
nice green shirt math the car
rumors on the new DBS?
I think the next one should be Vanquish (since they alternate flagship names) but apparently the model based on the Vanquish Concept has been cancelled :/
Why the grille so damned big?
this car will probably look a lot better in black. same thing with the new BMWs.
@sirgeorgioalastrata4104 I agree on the color, but let's be honest, BMW isn't even in the same conversation when it comes to design these days.
@@sirgeorgioalastrata4104silver matte or black matte look stunning.
very true@@alechall7082
Lot of vent going on. All the vents are open. Related to the Area package on the car.
Way better looking than the 911 Turbos IMO
Where does the front numberplate go?? Needs to go at the bottom so not to interfere with the looks, but thats where the radars are ... ummmm ??!??!!!!!
These cars are absolutely crazy . Uk you can only do 70 mph. What are you going to do.leave it in first gear
One thing new cars are good at is curing insomnia...
why is there no dual clutch gearbox? cost. it's cheaper to use an automatic. forget all the bullcrap they spurt out about torque t. what's his and that. it's because it's cheaper. car looks rad though. what's also impressive is the marketing essay and how good they make the car sound.
I missed the bit where Jethro said how much lighter it was? I thought that was evo magazine after all?
It isn’t lighter. I think it actually weighs slightly more than before
A much better 911 competitor vs. the Benz SL and not an obvious copy like the SL either. Hmm, might be something I take a closer look at when I tire of my 992...
But only if manual is available...
Wait, didn't an entirely new one come out just a few years ago? So that was a dud, and needed a complete redesign?
Porsche, every day.
Its so beautiful but no V12 ?
Did they only change the badge on the steering wheel....for THAT price! Hehehe.
It’s a completely different steering wheel, the old one was a strange Square shaped thing
@@Stokemeaclipper42 it's a Mercedes steering wheel with a Aston Martin badge on it
911 or new Vantage? Last week it was a given but now I rather the Vantage😮
Baby One-77
Watch this at 1.25x it flows better
Doug DeMuro keeps going on about Ferrari not offering a manual and leaving all that money on the table. Seems like you're doing a disservice to the shareholders by not making a limited run and charging all the money in the world for them
The 24' Vantage is still bloated then bc it has more horsepower then a Giulia Quadrifoglio and a similar 0-60 and top speed.
GET THOSE ARMS OUT, 'JETHRO' TOLL IT LIKE IT AINT 0:25
Still feels like an old mans brand. Will date and drop in price faster than Katy Price would spend a lottery win.
3.4s 911 turbo rival? I doubt.
Why not focus on making it fun to drive, instead of faster? I don't understand why you'd buy this over it's many competitor which have better dynamics inherently. At least it's exterior is still pretty, though I'd rather look at a gauge then another screen that'll look ancient in 3 years.
Because this is not a Mazda Miata
because fun to drive factor is more important , for better numbers you can buy Porsche or Tesla ))))
If you watch other coverage - half of the promo materials for the journalists was about how the car is about playful character. Even here it was mentioned about “at and beyond the limit”
April test drives would be highly anticipated
In agreement. I would prefer the vantage to have analog dials , less or non steering wheel buttons and the manual gearbox they just ditched.
It’s funny how everyone criticises Porsche for “every 911 looks the same as the last one” 😂
"Aston says..." value motoring for the masses and the missus.
Awesome, but still waiting to see what F1 racing 🏎 collaboration with Honda do for collaboration with roads vehicles...2 of my favourite brand
Where is ECOTY 2023?
front engine /rear drive ,it will never be a mid /hi 2 second 0-60 is never in cards, that's ok, but everything else is awesome.
Less $$ than a Turbo S is amazing
I would absolutely smash in this thing. Come on sports betting take me to the promise land
WOW....didn't even make it past the opening remarks before comparing it to a Porsche. The Porsche GB marketing wing, aka EVO, still in full swing. The absolute shamelessness of it.
Not letting the designer speak about it because "they point out the obvious " is such an arrogant take mate.
You're clearly a triggered designer 😂
Well congratulation Aston - this makes the 911 look ugly and I am a porsche owner
