Thank you so much for your explanation. You told me the spinning direction of the bulb and I made it. At first I turned in the wrong direction and couldn't get it down. My strenth is not strong and I thought maybe the bulb was too tight. I almost gave up when I watch your reel again and got the tip. I'm so happy I get it done and saved $200. You have a great day!
Great video. One guy in UA-cam was removing all kinds of stuff to gain access. I literally just changed both my bulbs to LED'S with 10 minutes both sides. Thanks again for this video. 🙂🙂
Have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it is much harder than what you show, having a larger brace/structure directly in front of the wheel-well-hole. Tom Wheatley did a similar video, but because of his 'sausage fingers' (his words, not mine), he had to remove items from within the engine compartment to get to the bulb. For me, marrying a nurse with strong, small hands, was the key. She was able to use your method to finally get the job done. Love her to death! Thanks for the video
im glad I found this video. I had no freaking clue of the access in the wheel well. I would have done it who knows how. Thanks buddy saved me time and great headaches.
Yup, Im gonna do mine in the AM, I Love Doin my own handy work if I truly can instead of taking it in to a shop, especially for something simple like this.. Clap clap clap for us women doin our own work on our cars And homes😊👌🏽👏🏽🙌🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Great video. Easy and to the point. Just changed both sides in around 15 min total. Other videos had me thinking I practically needed to remove either the enter front end or the entire engine (practically) to access headlights. Some videos also suggested i would "cut up my hands" doing it the way you demonstrated. So wrong. This was so much easier than i thought it would be. So glad i found this video, years after you made it 😁
Good information, thank you! I agree with everyone that the design is poor with horrendous access. With my larger hands, I found it helpful to remove the ECM (3 bolts and two large wire connectors) allowing more free access from the top. (I was changing the passenger side). Then, using a combination of top and bottom approach through the wheel well aperture, as well as using a small tool as a lever to break free the bulb holder, I was successful. (I couldn't get a good grip to turn it loose without the lever). It took me about an hour 😠
As painful as this process is (mostly to the right hand and forearm - for the driver side headlamp!), this video helped me get it done for my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Kudos!
Thank you for the video helped a ton, definitely tighter if you have the 2012 model, killed my wrists but eventually got it to turn right to unsnap from caseing. Had to do the top/ bottom back n forth to make it work. Small hands are advised.
Great video on how to change the high beam bulb even though it’s so easy that you don’t really need any help or information. Too bad you couldn’t do one for the low beam bulb like you said you were doing.
Went to Firestone, they were giving me a discount for $115.I decided to go to Walmart, payeunless than 10 bucks and saved over a $100.Thanks for the video
Unlike most light assemblies I’ve encountered in the past where the bulb only goes in the correct hole, this assembly has a space between the headlamp assembly wall and the cone area where the build goes. Put the electrical connector on first or you can accidentally push the bulb underneath where it’s supposed to fit and you will potentially lose it within the lamp assembly - as I did. One more bulb later and connecting the electrical connector saved me from repeating my error. Otherwise, great vid! Thank you
Great tutorial. I must ask you will this work if I need to change the turn signal bulb?? Can I go underneath and use that hole or would I have to take the whole headlight out under the hood??
So does this change your driving lights or is it the actual headlight. My headlights are led and supposably cost $500 to replace. So if this is for the headlights and not running lights that would be great!
Not knocking the video just passing off my experience with this process. I just replaced mine and had a heck of a time I ended up having to pull the airbox and was able to slide the coolant reservoir out of the way with the hoses connected to get more clearance. 10mm for the reservoir two up top and one lower on the inside and a flat head to remove the intake hose clamp then pull the box off of the grommets. There is another piece attached to the bottom airbox that will need to come out as well. Just my two cents. Good luck I'm cheap and like doing it myself but these were a mofo for sure and would gladly pay to have it done
This like all the other videos on UA-cam is not helpful for a 2011 Jeep grand Cherokee Overland. The headlight itself is encased in a mechanism that explains how to remove. Wish you or somebody else could make a video on specifically the Jeep grand Cherokee Overland.
Great video my dude. 5 years ago... You made a video and it helped me today. Made me (and my partner's) day.
AFTER SEARCHING 3 days you have the best video I’ve seen thank you
Fun fact. I bought this Grand cherokee one month later! Still have it, runs like new! Shoutout to Gmotorsusa!

Yeah, I saw that video....
Great Video.
For a bit more space, turn the wheel all the way left for the right bulb, and all the way right for the left bulb.
For it being such a tight space your camera work is impressive. Thank you.

I told my heaved. Husband to let me try!! His hands are all scraped up
im glad I found this video. I had no freaking clue of the access in the wheel well. I would have done it who knows how. Thanks buddy saved me time and great headaches.
Made it easy to just change at home rather than going to the shop. For a girl they will always make it seem its complicated and charge more. Thanks

Remember! Do not touch the bulb glass with your bare fingers as this can leave residue that will create a hot spot and shorten the life of the bulb.
ie. wear gloves
Oh dam that's great advice cuz I never knew that! Thanks
I had NO clue how to remove the headlight blub, Thank you I never would have figured that one out.
He said it was for the lower bulb. Is it the same for the actual headlight?
As painful as this process is (mostly to the right hand and forearm - for the driver side headlamp!), this video helped me get it done for my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Kudos!
I'll be attempting to change mine this weekend on a 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited.
beza511 how did that turn out? I’m attempting that on my 2014 grand Cherokee limited tomorrow evening
Thank you for the video helped a ton, definitely tighter if you have the 2012 model, killed my wrists but eventually got it to turn right to unsnap from caseing. Had to do the top/ bottom back n forth to make it work. Small hands are advised.
Wow! Thanks for this video. Your instructions were very clear and camera view was excellent!
You're very welcome!
I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Thank you for this video it saved me 40 bucks !

Your method works well on both sides of the car. It is tight and hard to maneuver but it doesn;t take long to change out both low beams.
This is a great video! Showed the easiest way to change the bulb, I changed it in 10 mins.
You just saved me $70 , thanks man.
thanks just change mine.. simple and straight to the point instructions. Thank You!!!
This helped me out today, thanks my guy 👍
I changed this bulb before.... Without knowing about that opening.... It was very difficult... Now it should be a breeze thanks.
this was super helpful man thanks
excellent video! comical subtitles! :) i appreciate you!
i have same truck this was very helpful saving money is best thing i could do ty for the video i also installed jbls in my trunk more bass awsome

F THE MECHANIC ILL FIX MY OWN BULB !!! Lol Thanks a lot for this video! DIY! I just need to figure out with bulb I need!!!
Best video for this task! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing... you are the best.God bless you. this video helps a lot.
That was good video, Auto Zone said it had to be replaced by the Dealer.
Very good! Thanks for posting this.
Perhaps there was little room to film, but there was more than enough to show me what to do and how to do. Great! Thank you!
Great video, just what I needed to know, thanks 👍
It took me a lot longer than 3:51 but I got it. I don’t know how you got your hands in and out of there so easily.
Thank you for the advice. Helped me tons.
Great vid 👍 thanks for saving me some 4 letter words
Thanks. Man that engine is clean!
There's a HUGE difference between the passenger side and the driver's one. So, technically, you should've done TWO videos :))
Is this the same for the drivers side bulb?
Simple and good video 👍
Thanks so much for sharing, helped me heaps very grateful!
You said spin it? Like counterclockwise?
I never would have figured this out on my own, thanks a bunch!
If you're having a problem putting the bulb back in. Put the new bulb in and then plug in the wire harness
Thank You this is a very good video.
Is this for overland as well
Thanks for the video! This helped a lot!!
Standard part H11 @ 2:26 $3.99 on Amazon free shipping. :)
simple easy elegant thanx for this video
what year was that Jeep. That's totally not doable on my 2011. the bulb is behind a brace and it's extremely difficult to get to
Thanks very much! Super helpful👍
Which one is the headlight? The far end at the end of the bumper or is it the inside one?
what is the globe type?
Great video. Thank you.
it better be that easy when i go to change mine this weekend 🤣😂
2017 model is way tighter not as easy to get at. I wish it was easy like this to get at. Bulb is recessed in further on 2017
What were you able to do to finally get it out?
Late comment but just remove the air fllter box and should be way easier
Mike, what did you finally do on your 2017? I can’t access the low beams on mine no matter what I remove.
Thank You!!!! I needed this today :-)
Amajla Mya Okanovic did it work the way he did it?
Good job 👍🏽. Thanks
Whats the name of the piece that you twist around the wheel?
How did you even get the original bulb out of the socket?? I can’t even get the bulb to come out of the hole itself. It’s like stuck right in there
thanks bro for this video. very helpfull
Thank you sir for the tutorial!
Won't be that easy on a 2015. Much less room. When you take off that first round cover, you can't even see the bulb.
How much is this replacement bulb? Is this the LED bulb?
2015 JGC: Impossible to get to headlight bulbs from the wheel well hole. Giant brace in the way. Will try removing airbox next.
Thank you. I will replace today
Great tutorial.
I must ask you will this work if I need to change the turn signal bulb?? Can I go underneath and use that hole or would I have to take the whole headlight out under the hood??
The turn signal bulb is the closest to the outside of the car and is actually the easiest to reach.
Can you show how to do the hid from underneath the fender well
Very helpful, thank you
i have a jeep compass and the lights are too dim for night driving. Which bulbs du u recommend I buy? tks
Rob Rob osram night breaker unlimited
Thank you so much!
So does this change your driving lights or is it the actual headlight. My headlights are led and supposably cost $500 to replace. So if this is for the headlights and not running lights that would be great!
I'm wondering the same thing.
Que tipo de focos lleva? . Se me fundió el del lado izquierdo pero no se que tipo de foco es.
I cant remove mine, is so tight ! Any tips ? 😪
Just did it. Got it out through the hole. But then put it back in way easier by moving a little box
Great video

Thanks for the video
saved my ass at the shop lol thanks
This sounds silly but I discovered that you release the black clips on the sides of the bulb, not the grey clips.
Great Done👍
But what about the high beams? Cuz you just changed one bulb on each side
you the best
This is just the HIGH beam bulb. That should be in the description! I removed the wrong bulb AND it's different part #!
The video was fine.
That's what she said at 1:45
Yes it is!
Easier said than done. Tight fit and a hand mangler for sure.
thank you a lot
awesome thank you
on mine the wire was stuck so I had some trouble spinning the light bulb case to take it out
This like all the other videos on UA-cam is not helpful for a 2011 Jeep grand Cherokee Overland. The headlight itself is encased in a mechanism that explains how to remove. Wish you or somebody else could make a video on specifically the Jeep grand Cherokee Overland.
thanks!!
Thank you
Can you show me where the light is on the driver's side? The only bulb I see is for the yellow side light.
kevin t Cramer it's under a rubber cap
Best video
Yeah I got a 17 and the space is not the same, like the concept is, but when I tell you the bulb case is tighter it is jeez
