Once you understand that object and you understand perspective and how everything is made of basic shapes and how they move in perspective , you can render that object in whatever manner you want!! It just takes repetition. Start simple and work your way up!! Its really cool what you can do!!

so what i undrestood out of this is to break down the shape to a simple form and assosiate it whit something you know in this case snickers. then look at the proportion then look for the function of the part and why it has to be that shape example revolvers bullet chamber placement. then keep adding details whit the undrestand of their funtion. so most importaint thing is to remember the gun there for knowing its function is more likly to ground the information to the brain and alow you to recall it in a later date. i am happy to know that kim jung gi tought the same way as when it comes to learning. .D
Define I agree...I’ve noticed over the years that different art teachers use different references....one of my teachers was such a foodie that every shape was referred to some sort of food...others referenced mechanical objects...like you said, reference something that YOU know. It tells you a lot about a person and what’s on their mind...Paging Dr. Fraud !
I think if you drew as much as he did from childhood, you would be relaxed too. I imagine at least half of his waking life was spent drawing, and the other half observing things so he could draw them. He has also said in interviews he draws in order to relax.
@@aznemeril also its his pen that he uses, in order to get thin lines he has to be super light on the hand, when im drawing something that im comfortable with i can kinda get the calm feeling, but since i use pencil its impossible to reach his level of bob ross chill because to get dark lines i gotta apply pressure

Amazing, clear video tutorial! 11:02 some modern handguns can hold up to 20 rounds (or more) in a single magazine. It really depends on the model and caliber. The *Glock17* for example typically holds *17* rounds, like its name implies, and the 1980's classic, the Beretta M9, has a 15 round mag usually. The older guns often held less ammo, like only 7 or 8 shots for Colt 1911, 8 shots for the Luger and the Makarov PM, or 13 shots for the Browning Hi-Power (M35).
I think one of the best solid things to learn before trying this or at the same time is perspective. Master Kim Jung Gi it's so good with perspective, that's what makes gun look better and more real. And on12:45 take a look on the drawings on his left, the angle and the proportions are perfect with the perspective.

Guns are actually really easy to draw. Especially if you know about or have the firearm(s) you are drawing. It's easy, just use basic shapes and go from there.

OK, since I've seen a lot (I mean a hell lot) of people making some same mistakes over and over (including pro artists), I will throw in some tip regarding guns: 1. Don't mirror a gun drawing. Left and right side of a gun have many differences. 2. Snipers don't use laser pointer. Please, never do that. 3. Grenades (most types nowadays) are armed after the lever has been released, NOT after you pull the pin. After the release, the lever will spring out to let the striker inside hit the primer. Don't draw your grenade being thrown with the lever still stuck on. 4. Again about grenade, they only contain a small amount of explosive, which is used to send the fragments flying out. Don't draw the blast like it's the 6th of August 1945 in Hiroshima
KJG just showed me that I need to learn things about what I want to draw, not just what it looks like.

thats why i almost cant watchh any youtube videos about drawing because i try and then i feel like shit after the first few lines

I think a Kel-Tec PMR 30 can even hold 30 rounds in it.
