THANK YOU FOR WATCHING MY HOW TO VIDEO ON CLEANING YOUR TOYOTA SEQUOIA A/C COIL. MINE WAS COVERED IN A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF HARI AND DEBRIS, WITH A LITTLE BIT OF TIME- A BRUSH AND SOME COIL CLEANER YOU CAN FEEL THE DIFRENCE. 10 DEGREES THAT IS. IM SO GLAD I DID THIS SIMPLE CLEAN TO GET A MUCH BETTER WORKING A/C.
THANK YOU MUNNDAY86
2004 TOYOTA SEQUOIA COIL CLEAN. #automobile #toyota #mechanic - Авто та транспорт
Just did this to my 04 tundra. It works like a charm. AC is much colder now.
Great video. I use a shop vac with a soft nozzle instead of a dryer brush in order to make sure I don’t bend the fins. I also use it to retrieve the foam. Then I do a final water rinse from a 1-gallon Chaplin-style sprayer (it drips out the bottom onto the street).
Also, wipe off the blades on the blower fan. They’re usually filthy and you’ll get a lot more air movement when they’re cleaned.
Thank you for the content
Good video, Im going to give that a try. Thanks for the video.
Use a shop vac with a small hose to go thru the hole cut the end of the hose at a 45 to clean the face of the condenser
4 sure. Was thinking the same.
Good video, I would like to do the same but also use a shop vac to get the debris out of the box that I knock off with the brush.
Thank you!!! I’m gonna do it tomorrow
Let me know how it goes
Done today. Thanks for posting the links.
How did it work out for you. Any cooler?
Great video thank you.
Your welcome.
Thank you for this. My sequoia does fine but i wouldn’t mind cleaning that up
I thought my air was good, until I cleaned this. It freezes me out now. ..
Perfect car bro
Thank you
Thank you Sir 🫡
Thanks man , I’m gonna go ahead and try it with my sequoia
Works like a charm.. mine had lots of dog hair from the previous owner stuck in there
What do you do about the air condition system in the back how do you clean it
Any idea if the 03 Tundra has this kind of set up?
I am going to do this as soon as those skinny brushes arrive. I bet mine looks dirty as that for being 22 years old. Thank you sir!
Your welcome, yes I think everyone's is dirty we just didnt know it
I love your videos boss I need to fix my 2002 Toyota sequoia and your a great help man I appreciate you!!!!!!
Thank you that means alot. What's wrong with your sequoia?
@@munnday86sadly I have been lacking on maintaining the car. the check engine light has been on for a very long time but it might be multiple reasons, the car still tuns like there’s nothing wrong tho so I’m kind of stumped.
@@assertive415 did you put a scanner on it to see what codes are coming ?
@@munnday86 I’ll recheck that and get back to you
its p0440 evaporative emission system :( @@munnday86
how about the rear AC system?
just pick up an 04 sequoia, car drive amazing, ac is cold but now after watching this i will clean it out and hopefully ac is gonna be even colder ! just recieved my 4 rows aluminum radiator, this car is gonna be awesome!
Nice you will love the sequoia
Good buy! I still have my 03 Sequoia I bought brand new in 2002. 319k miles and it still runs great. I will be doing this ac cleaning soon as it started stinking really bad the last few days. I will try to remove all the housing around it and it it brakes, there is always gorilla tape an epoxy :) Have fun with your Sequoia!
Mine has automatic controls. With it set to 70 my duct temperature is about 60. I’ll check this and do the cleaning if needed. I seen that you had yours set on Max cold.
Cant seem to get my connector out. Any tips?
Hey dude! Thank you so much for doing a video “write up” on how to do this. The wifey has been saying her sequoia is running a little warmer this summer so looks like I’m going to tackle this on Saturday 😅😂. Just a quick question, is there any need to flush that coil cleaner off? Thank you again!
Your welcome. I would recommend the coil clean. I can image it helps alittle bit probably cleans off the dirt and debris and potential mold or bacteria living in the dark and wet environment in there.
There is a guy on Instagram 3d printing a cabin air filter for gen 1. Really helps to not get this buildup
Can you give me the info on the blueprint
Hi what size are your tires ?
what are those tires and rims? sizes?
i liked it for the Lets go Brandon sticker
I’m betting my 04 will appreciate this sort of attention ;)
Yes it will. AC will work alot better too
Very nice! Will do this to my '01 Seq too
Nice hope it works out for you. Mine runs much better.
Can you do a video like this for the sport Trac?
I have too look into it
Have you done this on your sport trac? Mine is 20 years old now. The AC still kicks butt but anything helps a far as a cleaning goes.
I gotta look into it. The A/C in the sport trac still blows colder than the Sequoia. But I will definitely look into it. Hopefully there is access to the coil..
Good question. My 07 trac is starting to lose its cool. @munnday86 is the man!
used your links, hope you make a buck, thanks for the vid
Thank you. Ever little bit helps. It goes right back into the channel. Let me know how the Cleaning goes for you..
@munnday86 Friday is the day! I'm I'm arizona, its hit 117 last week lol need it haha
@@brianmasters8348I feel ya. Florida is humid as hell. And the heat index is brutal. Make sure your topped off on A/C refrigerant aswell.
I wonder if there is a way to remove the plastic housing around the evap. I did what you did today just because it wasn’t blowing cold and my blower motor went out on me. I took the motor off the fan and lubed it up. The fan blows much faster now. You might want to check that. And I cleand the evap. But there are so much leafs and debris at the way bottom that you cannot see. It seems simple to take off but I don’t know. Also be careful make sure you don’t dent your evap fins.
There is a way. But I think it will break the housing if you try to drop it all the way down.. you can get to the blower motor easy.
@@munnday86 I was able to get all the debris out of the evap housing bye connecting a pretty small hose to a shop vac. And it sucked it all out.
I had cracked the housing so I put it back together and called it a day. you can get it loose and use an shop air gun attachment and blow it out pretty good.@@munnday86
Off topic, but where did you get those floor mats? I’ve been looking for some to put in my first gen sequoia.
I got them from weather tech
Will this help the rear AC as well?
I believe there's a second condenser on the right side where there would be a compartment like the left side
Last time i did that it left a funky smell for months
The coil cleaner I'm using is lemon scented and smells great.. what did you end up using?
Is there any way to do this with a 5.7 tundra or sequoia?
If I had one I would look. Does it have a. Cabin filter?
@@munnday86 yes it does
@@huntsonora the cabin filter should keep all the hair dirt and debris out. The 1st gen tundra and sequoias dont have a cabin filter
'promo sm' ✔️
Because Toyota not install a air cabin filter
That is correct :).. I dont know why they didnt.
