Every time I fly I'm just amazed at all the hydraulic systems that work on jet planes. This video is a great view of all the flaps (whatever they're called) that open and make the wing bigger with more surface for air to travel over...so the plane can be flown at slower speeds. Amazing...just amazing!
I have watched several different videos of Lufthansa's landing ( I know they were all different because at different airports) and I noticed one common theme for them all. Very smooth landings! Those Lufthansa pilots are fantastic.

I thought the same. The 747-8, they didn't add the 0's because the plane uses tech from the 787. I learnt that a couple weeks ago when I went down to Everett, Washington where the 747-8 and the 787 were being built. The tour guild told me :P
