My husband and I are 26 and 24. We came out of college with $60,000 in debt, and we realized we would never be able to afford our bills and have a kid. We stumbled across Dave Ramsey on complete accident, and we paid off all our debt in 19 months. Now we have a baby on the way AND financial security. Thank you Dave Ramsey!

Question: if you were able to pay off $60,000 in 19 months then why did you think youd never be able to afford bills or a kid? Geez i can afford a kid and it would take me a decade or more to pay off 60 grand..

Congratulations!!! We also stumbled on Dave Ramsey by accident! We paid of $76K in 17 months 5 years ago! We're on track to pay off our mortgage in 7 years before our 40s! I'm so thankful for Dave and his information 🙏

@@amattson6578 We worked extra jobs, worked overtime, and sold so much stuff that we didn't need. There's nothing special about Dave's advice. He just motivated us with knowledge and we took action. 5 years later we do not regret it! 17 months was such a short sacrifice in the grand scheme of things

well not so bad. Many people don't make decent money until they are in their 30s. The issue is did they avoid the debt? If you avoid debt then your still ok because most younger people don't really have money to invest. Harder to invest when making 20k as opposed to 50k+. so 30s still gives you 30 some odd years before retirement

I’m 15 years old watching, currently saving up money, selling random stuff I don’t need. Planning on not paying debt in college(I know I things don’t go as planned), but I have a high GPA and am a D1 athlete. I’m still unsure what I’m going to study but that’s okay and God can guide me through that. I’m going to buy a used car and everything. My parents had to put their life on hold because of the weight of their debt. At this point, I don’t care about what these girls my age will think of me and how I love, but at least I value my own well being and success over looking good to people who don’t care about me. PERIODTTT

The method he teaches works! I've cleared about $22000 in debt in 15 months using these steps. I sold off possessions (including a new car), rented out a room in my house, slashed my household expenses and put myself on a $3 to $4 a day food budget. I still have $15000 to go, but watching this video makes me feel energized. I can do this! So can you!

This guy is gonna change my life. My whole life I was broke making between 18k-22k a yr. I qualified for a state funded scholarship to acquire a cdl class a and became a truck driver. My first 2 years I built experience, made 60k and upgraded my license to cdl A with hazmat. Now I work in a union job making 70k and building a pension. I'm still living almost check to check because of stupid spending and trying to be like everyone else and build a credit score to be normal. Well now that changes. In about 15-18 months I will be debt free. Forget debt, my money is now going to work for me. I'm 36 yrs old and plan to retire a millionaire! It's good to be weird😁

Love Dave Ramsey and his teachings. This is stuff WORKS. My wife and I paid $50,000 in debt in 18 months (from April 2018 to November 2019). During those 18 months there was lots of sacrifice. I was working 3 jobs and was working 70 to 75 hrs a week. It was so WORTH IT. Now, I only focus on my main job, I work about 40 to 45 hours a week, and I sleep very well :). Because of my hard work, I’m getting ready for a promotion this year. We are in step number 5.
In the 24 months that we have been working on this plan, our progress financially and as a married couple, has been so much more than what we have done in 10 years of marriage. I’m 37 years old.

I want to thank you Dave. My wife and I were in deep financial trouble in the early 1990'S. We bought Financial Peace shortly after it was released and it truly changed our lives. Today due to that book and 7 steps we have been debt free for close to 12 years. And believe me when I say it was NOT easy for us to start the process. NOW No debt, buy our pre-owned cars with cash, use credit cards as cash and can do what we want when we want to do it. What saddens me is that not enough people follow your advise. I have 3 people, 2 family members, i've given your books to over the years that were in deep financial trouble and not one took the advise. They continue to do the wrong things financially. Again, thank you Dave Ramsey.

Emily, just posted this comment to another young lady's comment :
'You are so far ahead of your classmates. I've been doing financial planning for forty years, and ended up with plenty of money. The first trick is to start early. You've got that down. Continue to discipline yourself financially, and get the same feeling of well-being by saving money, that other folks get by spending money.
As you become more financially curious, spend some time closely considering the process of asset allocation. Will be one of the most important decisions you'll make in your life.'
I was in management for a few years. I would do new employee orientation. After I talked about all of the 'company stuff', I told them I was about to talk to them about something that would change their lives. They got all 'wide eyed'. Then I'd spend ten minutes talking a little about the importance of financial planning, including the most important part...START EARLY! You've started way early. Now you've got to maintain, and even build, your financial discipline. If you do that you'll be very financially comfortable at a young age.

You can do it! Gazelle international a must. We too are in our 40's. Debt free a year, now on bs3b! Sacrifice for your future be it retirement or kingdom building(us) or both.😉 Set financial goals and reset mental boundaries. Humble baby steps. God is able, we must be willing. God bless you

This time last year I was $38k in debt. Sold my car, garage sale, quit my job, got a higher paying job.
Currently debt free, 12k invested, and looking at buying a house soon.

I’ve been hearing so much of Dave Ramsey from the you tubers that I watch and decided I should see what the fuss is all about. I’m totally gonna do this. I’m gonna get to step 3 by my birthday.

Absolutely life-changing plan. We've been doing this for a few years now. BS 2 feels like it takes forever, but we just keep going. I come back to watch this video periodically for motivation. THIS PLAN WORKS.

I wish this had been a required class in highschool.
I'm 21, don't have any debt yet and I'm working the family cattle ranch beside my father. I'm saving to buy my own place since our ranch doesn't have room for me to grow my herd anymore. I would have gone and put myself in major debt if it had not been for Dave Ramsey and my dad hadn't cautioned me so much against it. I still need to take out a loan for the land, but I'm not doing that until I can pay at least a third to half in cash while maintaining my emergency fund. We've never had much money and I grew up I knowing how to pinch pennies to make the groceries last. I'm so glad I found this man that lays it out plain and simple. The app he designed for budgeting, every dollar, is absolutely amazing.

    We're on baby steps 4 & 6 (bs#5 is n/a for us).
We are focused. We work hard. We communicate. We have a peace of mind that is priceless and we don't take it for granted.
