Man I've run into so many untitled bikes with mileage. Original owner sold to a 2nd owner and then a 3rd with no title. The DMV is allowing the county to handle the process but sometimes they are wrong. They want to tax the original price of the bike rather than what its actually worth. I have one where the 2nd owner pawned the bike and never got the title change and I had to get a new title.
Why would you ever trade your MCO for a certificate of title? You're giving up ownership of the motorcycle to the state when you do so. With an MCO you don't have to register, put plates on, smog or pay fees like you do with a title.
You gotta pay the tax man if you wanna ride on public roads and not get arrested or ticketed. This feels like a troll comment , am I right? Not that what you said was untrue because it is true.
the dmv confiscated my mco in nyc. I went there with the mco, bill of sale, and my insurance card, with all of the form from the dmv. they looked at the mco took it in the back then came back and said they have to keep it for further investigation

so i have the mco for a bd125-10 i bought off facebook marketplace but the tax office is saying i need a bill of sale for it in order to get it tagged and titled and have no way of getting in contact with the guy who ordered it off amazon originally, i have no clue what to do, what should i do any help would be greatly appreciated
@@ryanconlan3584 You have two choices from what I can see. Keep in mind im in Texas. You can type up your own bill of sale for what the transaction was for and sign it for the guy. If you are honest and do not want to go that route you can go to a title bondsman and get a title bond. That will allow you to register the bike for a bonded title. You can also do reserach on the vermont loophole. Not sure if it will work in this case but atleast you can take a look and see if it will work.
I have a question I went to the clerk's office. They put in the Vin number of my bike. They put it twice, they can't find it from the computer, so she said she wanted to call Frankfurt And get information from them Did that happen to you?When you want to register your bike

That's sales tax, the tax you pay at the tax office is for registering the bike. Different tax. Kind of makes you wonder about the whole "Double taxation" thing. 1. Your paycheck gets raked for taxes 2. what's left gets sales tax 3. if you have to register the bike you get taxed again. Sorry im lat on this.

From the assembly line straight to you. meaning it’s YOURS 100000%. When you register it, gvt will take the mco and give you the “certificate of title”. This will confirm that an mco exists but instead they are now the holders of it & are giving you the “privilege” of driving what used to be your vehicle as long as you keep paying registration fees. Exactly right in South Carolina when your taxes come due if you don't pay them they suspend your license even if you're not driving the vehicle just sitting in the backyard when that comes around you better pay if not you'll get a paper in the mail asking for your license
I am unsure, but I know in TX you can legal a dirt bike by adding things and then doing this. There is some kind of place you have to go to get it certified to be on the road first tho. I am not sure.
Got a China bike imported last month and they never sent a MCO..I texted and texted and they don’t want to respond..I applied for a bonded title because all I have is a bill of sale..only thing is I don’t wanna say it’s from China because I don’t know if they would want more documents ..what should I do ?
Super easy in Arizona. Arizona doesn't require a inspection. Just get the insurance like you say. Then go to the DMV pay tax, title, license and registration and good to go. Weird part is the MCO has a different name for the make and model than what you might have bought from the company. The bike I got was a Orion RXB 250 from Orion powersports inTexas but the mco called it a Koolchetcnc xb36 so that is what my title has on it.
Like the Venom X22gt was a weird chineese name. Only lifan was lifan on the MCO. Kinda one of the reasons I like them because they are the actual maker of the bike. Not hidden under rebranding
Koolchetnc is the manufacturer over in China. They have a longer name then that even though. Youd have to google it as I cant remember the whole thing. Im trying to register.mine but freaking GOKARTSUSA wont give me.my freaking MCO. They claim XMOTOS doesnt give them for my bike. Im still fighting this for a year now.

This process was literally cake in a Arizona third-party mvd, gave them bill of sale and mco and was basically done. No inspection, didn't ask for proof of insurance nothing so easy lol..

If you say scam meaning that it doesn’t exist that’s not true. I know they come from China and they get only so many, so it takes a really tongue time to get them get them into the US. Once they’re in the US they have a huge Waiting list of people who had already bought them
Once I get to the DMV with insurance and inspection will they give me plate numbers? My understanding in texas I will have to wait a few weeks for plates. With plate numbers, I can make a temporary plate.

It should be as follows. As long as you got insurance you can inspect it , and then register it. Insurance is always first. Just go to any place that does inspections and they should be able to do bikes also.

No inspection in Oklahoma just take the MCO and proof of insurance to the tag office. And yes insurance will have problems finding the vin just make sure you get the name of manufacturer exactly as it is on the MCO!
I just got my black/red lifan kp mini yesterday I ordered online from txpowersports and I didnt get the mco with the bike now I have to wait another 5 to 15 business days to get it and I can't pay for faster shipping witch I think is weird. I already had to wait for the bike now this. I just want to ride it already. I've put 4 parking lot miles on it lol I'm going crazy!
Don’t sign it and take it to the tax office , they will tell you where you forgot to sign. Go in with everything you need and they will point out where you forgot to sign. If you sign it in the wrong place it makes the MCO invalid.

I bought the Xpect 200 and had no issues in NJ registering my bike. Geico is the cheapest in my area.

A lot of times it comes separate in the mail and not with the bike. The best thing to do is contact the seller for the MCO

Anything over 49cc in every state requires a motorcycle endorsement. In some states 49cc you do not but this is 200cc so yes you do.
