If I was on death row and were allowed to listen to the entire discography of a band back to back prior to my execution, I'd 100% choose King Gizzard. No only are pretty much all their albums fucking bangers, with their output there would be 3 new albums out by the time I finished a single one. Jesus, this song goes so hard!
Every time I listen to this song I catch myself dancing. This is my favorite song ever because it makes my problems all go away and I focus on dancing and the smooth instrumentals. Thank you kglw.

I just got the Adelaide 2021 "official bootleg" on vinyl in the mail the other day from Needlejuice. 5 sides of pure bliss. One side is just an etching and doesn't play anything.
It’s psychedelic progressive rock and jazz fusion. There are plenty of great jam bands in the same vain. Like return to forever, king crimson, the mahavishnu orchestra and whatnot
Lyrically the song describes a war between a person from Ganymede with the ability to turn everything into ice and humans. However there are several literary references to Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut, which is about nuclear waste. So it could al be a metaphor for nuclear waste
This is so great. Live playing, but not too loud to where the listener can't discern what each player is doing. Their loud shows are too loud and muddle everything.
You just listened to 1 of the 237 tracks in their discography (so far). 21 albums in and they have only just explored this kind of sound. Get over yourself and stop ruining music for others by trying to dismiss it and put it in a box.
@@jpgaw7175 That was supposed the be a joke sir. But given the many, many funkadelic-soft machine tribute bands on the circuit, I see why it was a little too subtle.
They are just showing off at this point, easily the best band on the planet right now, their talent is unparalleled.
There are bands that do deliver the same quality. None of which are played on the radio

The most genre-fluid band.
for sure. they can do anything and still have it sound like their signature psychedelic sound
Yeah I like that even on something like Infest The Rats' Nest that signature sound is still there.
right there with ween and zappa i generally seem to write and like genre fluid stuff for some reason
with the most gender-fluid listeners (if we don't count 100 gecs)

Question - Is this song inspired in any capacity by Kurt Vonnegut's "Cat's Cradle"?
Or just simply science?

KGLW are 100% in the top 5 best live bands to see at this point in time. The way these guys feed off eachother is absolutely incredible.
The groove is real.
Hell yeah, been waiting for them to come back to this stage for years.
The Absolute madlads are back.
And the craziest thing about this
They have since released (2) more albums
And all three of them are 🔥
Love these guys
En esta sesión se aprecian muchísimo mejor todos los instrumentos y las interacciones
Gracias Diosito por hacerme fan de King Gizzard

If only YT didnt kill the quality quite a bit with compression, Id rip this entire live session
Yeah! Waiting for the video of this for so long! (In Gizzy months)
My calculations say 1 Gizz month equals 3 human days, does that sound about right?
