@@patricpepper228 thank you for your support. I've just bought a practise pad and I'm starting from scratch. World just became a little bit more beautiful place.
This is the greatest thing I’ve heard in a long, long time… the tempo is outstanding, relentless and free. The riffs, the vocal hooks, the production are all perfectly in place… rock and roll is far from dead with these guys around… the throne is theirs…
apparently, american pie (1972) is the longest song to make it to number 1 (8 minutes and 36 seconds). although it's worth pointing out that american pie *feels* at least 3x as long as this track. edit: correction - taylor swift recently broke the record with "all to well" at 10:13.
OMG. They gust released something crazy. Again. I really needed some psychedelic/garage vibes since the mood of some of their last releases didn't fully convinced me.
Yeah, their other post-COVID releases were decent but didn’t fully hit the mark for me. Can’t quite put my finger on it. This definitely picks up where Fishies/ITRN left off though and I’m excited as hell.
@@MB20978 KG but especially LW was hittin hard on me. Polyrythm meets Microtonal Rock Music - couldn't get any better for me. But I get that 'vibe-thing'. Butterfly 3000 felt like they had to release some moody pop vibes, which didn't got me hooked all the way. In late 2021 they played 'Gaia' live - Drop D, decent ryhtms and a lovely metal-vibe - and I suddenly was totally hyped: 'will there be a psychedelic stoner album soon?'. 'The dripin tap' only kept pouring fuel in my 'hype'-flame.
Amby's vocals have so much soul. The into to this song is so bluesy and down to earth, and then BAM the music kicks in and carries me off to the skies. Love it. KGATLW are the greatest band to come out in so long. So much talent, so much diversity, and so much love.
It feels like im listening to something of the standard of the classic rock bands of the 60s or 70s but with it's own modern twist, I'm glad I got to see them live. I expect they will be one of those historic bands, the talent and versatility is immeasurable.
I think if you hear this song as a call to action it feels a lot more in tune with that upbeat feel. The dripping tap won’t be turned off by anyone but the masses. “Drip drip from the tap don’t slip” has the rhythm of a protest chant
Found out about gizz at the end of last year and bought the concert ticket last month, now they're about to drop a whole new album again and im not even halfway through listening all the others yet, god i love them but also helP
Wait until you've heard all of there music I'm only missing 3 albums in there collection. It's the best to flick through there collection and pick what flavour of their music your feeling for the day, truly an inspiration to us all.
Just got turned on to these guys a couple of years ago. Such a killer band. I'm 51 and love the energy from this band just a great mix of music every project is different but very recognizable. Got tickets for Red Rocks later on this year cant wait!
Yep - 53 y.o. here. have been on the Gizz train since 2014. Great music has no age restriction. I saw them again on the 5th March do their 3 hour set. it was awesome. A mate and I were among a small handful of folks over 40 among a pretty switched on very young crowd. i think they thought we may have been the parents of some of the band :-)
@@CoolcidProd absolutely!! 2017 became their most productive year, and it was Stu who pushed everyone to release their evil out of themselves, and it pissed em so much. Incredible!!!
@@axelxlo Predominantly no, he's a live member; he has some studio creds and practices with them but the majority of bass lines are wrote by stu or cookie.
@@axelxlo Not always. He's had children for longer than any other member, so he's often not had the time to record in the studio. Infest the Rats' Nest, for example, had all the bass parts recorded by Stu or Joey.
Lucas is an incredible bassist, but if you look at the album credits, he doesn't tend to play bass in the studio very much. Actually, Joey plays bass on most gizz tracks. The primary songwriters in the group are Stu, Joey, Ambrose, and Michael. I think Joey just plays bass when they're in that writing group of four, most of the time, and Lucas learns the parts for live performances so Joey can play guitar. It's kind of ironic: Joey is my favorite guitarist in Gizz, but he plays bass in the studio. I think Lucas sounds tighter on bass, but he only plays with them live. My favorite bassist in the band is Cookie, and he rarely plays bass for King Gizz. I only knew he played bass from Pipe Eye and the Murlocs. He's also my favorite songwriter in the group.
Woah wait, so, this also happened to you? Im from Mexico, thought it was my lame ass internet or something, came here for repeated listening hahaha cheers!
This is already one of my favourites. 18 minutes of pure bliss. Also it's really great that we finally get something different from BF3K or the microtonal albums. I liked some of those songs, but I'm excited for the new album
Thank you. I cannot express how much your art and your presence in the world means to me. Also you FUCKING ROCK. How do you even exist? Is this a simulation? This doesn't track with the rest of my miserable existence. Safe and fun travels, do what you do and keep evolving, see you live soon hopefully!
I discovered you guys today after listening to 'Satanic Slumber Party'. I will be a lifelong fan. You guys have the same spirit as the early rock pioneers - Pink Floyd, Led Zep etc. Keep it real and keep on rocking!
Welcome to the family! Check out Nonagon Infinity, Infest The Rats Nest, Polygonawandaland and Quarters. Everything they touch is gold and every album is different
Wow. Cacophony of sound is a severe understatement. First time listening to this band and was recommend this track. Christ, my brain hasn’t evolved enough for this ! 🤘
I love this ❤️, At some point of the song I felt a strong Krautrock style. the CAN and early Kraftwerk vibe... Driving straighfoward quick drum rythm and all the othets instruments on it exploring each others
This song just feels like the opening chapter in a new era for this band and that is incredibly wild to say after 20 albums. I cannot wait to see what the next 20 bring us.
Technically you don’t know if hard work and time goes into it. Perhaps they just sit around all day while someone creates the music for them, maybe they stole the music! Maybe this song doesn’t even exist! Maybe we don’t even exist! Nobody knows!! What is music? What is life!? Nobody knows! And sense truth is apparently relative then my truth proves that this song exist, but sense your truth proves it dose exist, what really is truth!? Still… nobody know!!!
Just wow. This has so many amazing past album vibes all mashed together in the greatest way plus a bit of a newer feeling to it. What a massive track with so many cool changes, so stoked for this album.
This song, felt like a lift off my shoulders. I had the utmost pleasure to hear this song live for the first time too at the enmore! It was fricking incredible!!!

@@unknownsoldier452 I just saw this notification while putting on Gumboot Soup. I have 6 albums on vinyl including the remixes of Butterfly 3000 and I'm currently wearing a Gizz shirt with them as action figures on it. Things are pretty bitchin' haja
After 20 years I'm going back to play drums again because of you guys.
I love that for you
Go for it, Marko V. It will make you happy and sane.
@@patricpepper228 thank you for your support. I've just bought a practise pad and I'm starting from scratch. World just became a little bit more beautiful place.
Progressing so far?
I learned the double kick pedals because of em hated it for years
DAMNIT KING GIZZARD I HAVE OTHER BANDS AND MUSIC TO LISTEN TO YOU CANNOT JUST KEEP MONOPOLIZING MY PLAYLIST LIKE THIS EVERY SIX MONTHS.
Babe wake up, new Gizz is out
Good morning 🙏 🌄 namaste
Five more minutes… of gizz
Save the water, kids! Eighteen minutes of dripping sink is a world of water!
This is the greatest thing I’ve heard in a long, long time… the tempo is outstanding, relentless and free. The riffs, the vocal hooks, the production are all perfectly in place… rock and roll is far from dead with these guys around… the throne is theirs…
Every new album they put out becomes my favorite. Not very many bands are capable of that.
Absolutely they are heavy metal Grateful Dead
mi madre me dio la vida king gizzard las ganas de vivirla
grande lucas! esperamos tu traducción de este tema
Tu canal está poca madre
Me encanta porque cada vez que escucho a king gizzard me recuerdo tu perfil de the residents y tu nombre
Pura Vida !
Grande!! y te lo robo me encantó hahaha
This needs to make the hottest 100. Just imagine. A 20 minute track. It'll be amazing.
apparently, american pie (1972) is the longest song to make it to number 1 (8 minutes and 36 seconds). although it's worth pointing out that american pie *feels* at least 3x as long as this track.
edit: correction - taylor swift recently broke the record with "all to well" at 10:13.
How is it possible that 1 of the greatest rock tunes of all time is only 3 weeks old ???
It’s possible that it now is more than 2 years old, now. 😂
Same for me here. I was itching to some kind of sound like this. Thank you, lizard wizards
Feels like a mix of Nonagon and Fuzz and I'm all here for it.
The cover art: heavy shit
The music: happy and upbeat
The lyrics: existential dread
Must be a new KGATLW album
The perfect description of most KGATLW Albums.
I think if you hear this song as a call to action it feels a lot more in tune with that upbeat feel. The dripping tap won’t be turned off by anyone but the masses. “Drip drip from the tap don’t slip” has the rhythm of a protest chant
Gaia doesn't sound very happy.
The only thing that soothe my mind, drinking like a fucked up cow on a mission
@@demetergrasseater you nailed it. The message hits much harder live, especially when they close with it.
Damn this is sounding familiar yet diffrent. You guys always tickle my gooch the right way ✌😁🤘
ticklesnake

what are you SAYING
Tickles your hwat???
Ayoo what?
Cmon
The boys are getting back to their psych/garage roots! Ya love to see it
It’s about damn time! I was getting nervous!
They are going to drop six new albums before the concert is over.
@@sphereagram lol
This and the promise of a new album is keeping my sanity together like ducttape! Thank you, Gizzoids 💗 I'm hearing the Fishie Hat Jam in there!
It is the Fishie Hat Jam :) I just realized that as well haha
Also it's a double album!
@@stupidpplmakemelaugh Might be 4 songs then😂
Dang!!! That guitar work sounds kinda like FUGAZI's Arpeggiator - that's a very good thing. Hyped for more of this!
The bassline too tbh
Just sounds like it could fit on a fugazi song
I hear it too, good catch man !
I'm right there with you. I absolutely hear it.
I saw you for the first time at Lollapalooza Argentina this weekend.. oh god, that voice gives me goosebumps ❤ love u guys, come back soon 💝
Props to Jason Galea this is definitely one of their best covers
Amby is incredible on this track!
Fucking breathtaking!
nothing new here
Just got turned on to these guys a couple of years ago.
Love going to Gizz shows and seeing people older than me. Just shows how powerful the music is.
I'll see you at red rocks, fellow gizzhead :)
See you at the rocks!

another prog kraut banger from the king gizz and the lizz wizz!
2016 called. It wants to give you a BIG KISS ON THE LIPS LET'S FUCKING GO
Instant classic. Perfect opener for LP20.
The title up there is a bit confusing as I have no clue if Omnium Gatherum are real words or I'm bad at reading
Can't get over that intro with Ambrose's vocals, I hope there's a whole song in this vibe on the new album!!
Imagine if the only musician left in this world were KGLW, then you alright. 20 ALBUMS IN JUST A DECADE. Say no more.
Say No More? I thought that was a Charly Garcia thing (?
@@nicolasriveros943 well thats clearly different reference
5 of those were in one year too!!! These guys are insane
@@CoolcidProd absolutely!! 2017 became their most productive year, and it was Stu who pushed everyone to release their evil out of themselves, and it pissed em so much. Incredible!!!
This might be the best song gizz has ever put out, it’s refreshing and uplifting, definitely a song I needed atm
Lukey is playing the bass on this track! So awesome to hear our bass man back in the studio!
Hell yeah. Love a bit of the Lukey
Wasn't he the one who played bass on other records?
He's also my favorite songwriter in the group.
this my firsrt song i've ever listened to from this group and i already love it
this AUTOMATICALLY made my day
The moment this was uploaded spotify and discord both went down, this song has literally destoryed the interent
This song is so good that it crashed Spotify
Yeah wtf, coincidence? Don't think so
Woah wait, so, this also happened to you? Im from Mexico, thought it was my lame ass internet or something, came here for repeated listening hahaha cheers!
@@humbertosandoval55 nah it's everywhere man hahaha
This is already one of my favourites. 18 minutes of pure bliss. Also it's really great that we finally get something different from BF3K or the microtonal albums. I liked some of those songs, but I'm excited for the new album
Best thing about the Gizz is: something different will come soon
Yeah I mean I liked KG/LW but now they won’t have to delve into microtones again for a long time
Thank GoD I just couldn’t get into those albums
@@adammarquez5203 lw was nice
@@personmcpersonface6894 i didnt like it
This song has such a live feeling it's like being in a room together with you all!
It’s literally always what made their older music so great, a band playing in one room just jamming out
Trust me, it’s even better live
@@VyPrezWolfpackMusic It totally is!
Thank you. I cannot express how much your art and your presence in the world means to me. Also you FUCKING ROCK. How do you even exist? Is this a simulation? This doesn't track with the rest of my miserable existence. Safe and fun travels, do what you do and keep evolving, see you live soon hopefully!
This band never disappoints, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful art with us ♡
I showed this to my friend Dr. Luis Pedro Almeida Lopes. He loved it and will be forever greatful for this
I discovered you guys today after listening to 'Satanic Slumber Party'.
@@soulslur don't forget Flying Microtonal Banana 🍌
Just casually announcing album 20 out of nowhere.
LOVE YOU GUUUYSSS
Wow. Cacophony of sound is a severe understatement. First time listening to this band and was recommend this track. Christ, my brain hasn’t evolved enough for this ! 🤘
Another brain melter from the gizzard!!! Cant wait to get this on vinyl
I was just thinking the same thing!
King Gizz created something reminiscent of their earlier work while still sounding new, I fucking love it
These dudes never miss. 10 out of 10 as always
Every time I listen to this it gets better. There’s some kind of magic going on in the transition into the chorus, insane.
I love this ❤️, At some point of the song I felt a strong Krautrock style. the CAN and early Kraftwerk vibe... Driving straighfoward quick drum rythm and all the othets instruments on it exploring each others
Been so tired and stressed lately, this song is such a great surprise! Thank you KGLW!
Gizz: The world is dying and the only people able to fix it don't care
UA-cam: What a happy jam, I'm dancing around my bedroom!
It's like a more refined Head On/Pill laced with Mind Fuzz era hooks. I am all here for it.
Just a touch of Fishies too
head on/boogie!!! loving this so far keep it up
Haha totally it's very " im in your head boogie" 🤣
It sounds identical to Nonagon
This song just feels like the opening chapter in a new era for this band and that is incredibly wild to say after 20 albums. I cannot wait to see what the next 20 bring us.
This. Is. King. Gizzard.
The amount of time and work these guys put in is beyond amazing. ‘So inspiring.
@@futur_sunds your a clown. its takes alot of work to produce a 16 minute song. go to sleep
@@futur_sunds i know you just said something
Just wow. This has so many amazing past album vibes all mashed together in the greatest way plus a bit of a newer feeling to it. What a massive track with so many cool changes, so stoked for this album.
Amby never fails to just add the catchiest vocals. Been stuck in my head all damn day. That’s a good thing of course
That beginning is so soulful even the music behind the vocals
Others have said similar, but I'm getting a great Head On/Pill vibe off this. Big call-back to their older stuff.
This song, felt like a lift off my shoulders. I had the utmost pleasure to hear this song live for the first time too at the enmore! It was fricking incredible!!!
That's badass! I was having a rough day and right after work ended I got a chance to listen for the first time. Made EVERYTHING better
@@samg.270 absolutely!
OHHH Man i did not want to hear that soooo jealous, bloody floods locked me in grrrrahhh
They continue to get better with each release and I love that Stu implied there would be 20 more albums after this.
They knew we needed to groove and wig the fuck out like it 3027....
I dont listen to 20 min songs on UA-cam, but since this is King Gizz and also Spotify is down 😭 I am here enjoying this megasong 🔥

This is their 'magnum opus'. Hands down. What a brilliant band.
That's the thing - it's just their latest magnum opus
Um rattlesnake is
@@ЯСмерть-ф5п LOL i've seen a lot of people argue over what their magnum opus is:

Nonagon vibes
What..a..fucking..masterpiece of a song, this got me so hyped man
I can barely tolerate 5 or 6 minutes songs unless theyre REALLY good.
This is REALLY REALLY good, I cant stop putting it on repeat.
Holy shit instant classic
HOLY GIZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A JOURNEY IN THIS TRACK I FEELS LIKE HAVING AN ADVENTURE ON A BEAUTIFUL PLANET WITH LOTS OF WEIRD TREES, COLORFUL FAIRIES AND FLYING TIGER
I love that this is seen as the start of their jamming phase with all six members cohesively just playing off each other. Love this band man, truly a unique experience.
The start? This isn't the first and won't be the last time this happens.
@@BA-vv4jy I mean, my comment is based off what Stu said in an interview. He said "I think we're entering into our 'jammy period'."
But I'm splitting hairs, the future's looking real strong for their music, can't wait.
Summer is just over the horizon, this song with be on full blast with the windows down.
The boys have outdone themselves yet again. I didn't know what to expect after butterfly and I wouldn't have it any other way. Keep rocking, synthing, bluesing, and most importantly PSYCHING out Mr. Gizzard.
5:20 I think this may have developed out of the jam at the end of How to Gut a Fishie
Most likely! Thought about the same thing

First time I heard it I sweared it was some "new" band from the 70's I stumbled upon. How glad I was when I found this is from 2022!
Well this is fucking amazing
Saw this live on Saturday at Timeland festival, insanely good! It was my 9th time seeing gizz and it was one of their best performances. Lukey is a monster on the bass and Cavs blew my fucking mind on the drums!
This reminds me a bit of some of Stereolab's noisier stuff, and that's super cool to hear from King Gizzard.
Thinking the same thing, both take a lot from krautrock, esp early Stereolab
We stan 18 minute singles, especially as the first thing we get to hear from the new project - the boys never fail to entertain and they always keep it funky fresh :D
That brain bloom at 5:20 is just so good.
